Recieved an e-mail 20 minutes before my scheduled bus to the airport from Athlone. "Aircoach trip on Sat 21st Jan 2023 departing Galway (Galway Coach Station) at 14:15 will be cancelled due yo unforeseen circumstances. Your online booking is still valid on the next service. Apologise for the disruption. Aircoach Team" Obviously for any bus heading to dublin airport to catch a flight "disruption" does not really cover it (have to book new expensive flights at short notice and can still miss an work appointment etc) - offering next service on the day is not going to make the flight - replacement should be valid for all time or year at least. Ok a bus broke down or whatever but for airport services you should do better - e.g. maybe replacement buses or if that is not practical do a deal with citylink so they can take aircoach passengers and vice versa for these occurances. I have used this service for the airport before no problems, but now i think for sure book an earlier bus even if that is an extra 2+hours in the airport - and always check e-mail (who does that?) - but also start concidering other options - e.g next time i will get the train !!
