I took my Jaguar X308 XJR-R1 in for servicing at my JLR dealer, and it came back missing one of those black plastic parts in the engine bay that you could probably do without but, if you want your Jaguar kept original, you just need to replace. The part is no longer available through JLR, so I posted to the Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum, and AutoReserve Jaguar was recommended by the Forum lead as one of several suppliers of Jaguar Parts that might be able to help supply the part. I posted a note explaining my needs, and Andy quickly supplied a part number, confirmed he had the part and its price, registered me as a customer, and advised how I could complete the order. I did, and he packed up the product and mailed it by Royal Post to the far side of Canada, saving me significant customs fees that would have been charged had a courier been used. Clever. The part that arrived had been cleaned and was in excellent condition; I installed it and it looked like it had always been there. Once again, my car was complete. A lot of work for a part inside the engine bay, but if you love your Jaguar, and want to keep it original, people like Andy and businesses like AutoReserve Jaguar are good to know; professional, helpful, fast, and fully competent.
