I've used door dash for a while now. I figured they understand that complaints happen and REQUIRED their drivers to take a photo whenever they drop an order because complaints will happen. I've had to complain in the past, not often but I have. Today, my driver completely stopped communicating with me. Did not follow step by step instructions that I leave for EVERY driver. Did not answer my call. Did not respond to any texts. I saw "your dasher has delivered your order," checked my door and saw nothing. The dasher also provided no photo because they either stole it or dropped it to the wrong address. Because I've had to make a report in the past, I was not able to be compensated. This is why dashers don't get tips ahead of time or at all. I deleted my account as I know they can see that I was communicating with the dasher and that he/she/they, stopped responding. It's important for future & current customers to know if this happens, which it will, at some point, if a dasher says they've delivered, and they haven't ... oh well. A dasher can steal from you and get away with it as DoorDash supports theft of customer's orders.
