We are trying to cut down our meat consumption but around once a year we treat ourselves to a box of quality, locally-reared meat that you can't get at the supermarket. This year we got beef short ribs and merguez sausages and were not disappointed. We scoffed the merguez in freshly baked baguettes, slathered in harissa, yum! Then we gave the ribs the Tom Kerridge treatment (Barbecued Short Rib of Beef, British Style, Proper Pub Food) and oh, my, god... Amazing! If you've got the time, and want to impress carnivorous friends, Tom Kerridge and Farmison & Co are a marriage made in heaven. Ps, the after pictures don't do it justice, I am no Tom Kerridge, but it tasted incredible!
