I bought the Galion integrated tube amp, the TS 120 SE a year ago for my dedicated stereo 2-speaker system. I wanted to upgrade my home theater system with an amp to drive the 2-front main speakers, and I choose the Galion TS A75. These 2-front speakers are also my speakers for the TS 120 SE system, so I have to switch cables/sources back and forth, depending on listening to music or watching a movie.
Now, when I stream music, it's become harder for me to switch cables/sources back to the TS 120 SE, as streaming music through the home theater system with the TS A75 amp is just so satisfying. It's a perfect choice when I'm feeling lazy.
I do love the warmth of tubes and the mid-range clarity of the TS 120 SE, but the solid state tone of the TS A75 is very good. Movie soundtracks are now much fuller and clearer. Yes, for music, the tube integrated amp is clearly my preferred component choice. Yet listening to music through the TS A75 is very enjoyable. So much so, I struggle when I want to listen to music and the main speakers are connected to the home theater system. It's that good!
