Attended A &E Tuesday last Tuesday 7pm. Left 5.30 Wed am.. It was so v v crowded... Really packed out. Had to be seen by different sections plus X Rays. Every single staff member, without exception,was so very kind and very attentive. Really very skilled care. They were working flat out....huge dept but so many patients! All staff were courteous and doing their absolute best ...they kept their sense of humour! I did feel that the dept would be an easier environment if patients were permitted only I person with them. There were patients with 2 or 3 relatives with them who were occupying chairs and spaces requiring patients to be left standing. Also a ban on bringing hot food into the dept as the overall smell was quite nauseous which is inconsiderate to other patients.The staff deserve an award for their delivery of skilled,and dedicated delivery of care, given so kindly and with humour with so many logistical challenges. Thank you very much
