Ordered a Liebherr Accessory which was accepted by Whitegoods. A while later they said they could not supply the accessory because there had been a steep price increase so the order was cancelled and refunded. Strictly speaking Whitegoods should have supplied at the advertised price even though it meant a loss to them. They are not alone, suppliers in Germany face the same problem a steep rise in metal prices from April. The part from Liebherr was quoted at UKP 58 over twice the price and would not commit to a lead time. A German supplier contacted Liebherr saying the lead time to them was 3 weeks but did not quote a price.
