Whilst the rooms that Travelodge offer are competitive, a lot of the hotel stock, certainly the cheaper ones, are looking tired and in need of some investment and TLC.
When you collect your key from reception and your handed a door key and a fob to access the corridors that serve the room, your heart sinks, rather reminiscent of travelling back to a motel in the 80’s.
