I started the program in September 2024. My goal from the beginning has been to have an analysis of my DNA conducted to provide insight specific to my body, tailor my lifestyle to get off of a prescription medication, and be aware of any genetic markers indicative of future health concerns. The Health Coach is energetic and offers basic information I've read in the news, in my own research, and on social media. My Physician is knowledgeable and offered to put me on a different prescription medication (when my goal is go get off completely). The prescription medication they recommended was denied by the insurance company. Over the months, FSA has been difficult in accepting Wild Health services as medical care and some months are not reimbursed. Once Wild Health initiated the bloodwork request, navigating to their chosen 3rd party blood draw clinic service was OK to use. In my area, there were plenty to chose from within an hour drive with the closest being about 30 minutes away. However, there was no guarantee I could find a time slot open in the early morning hours as many of those sites did not have any open time slots for up to a month out. To speed up my process for one of my blood draws, I did a longer fast and conducted my blood draw in the afternoon.
It is now April 2025. I have completed two blood draws with my numbers staying pretty close to the same and showing some improvements with the addition of supplements (Vitamin D/K, Omega 3). The supplements have not improved my primary concerns and I still don't have any feedback on the DNA results. I am unclear on how Wild Health can offer precision care when the basis of their care/advice (the DNA analysis or Personal Health report) hasn't been completed and presented to the customer. I've spoken with the Health Coach about the delayed DNA results and they said this is unusual and have "escalated" my issue by notifying their supervisor. I have submitted an inquiry about the delayed DNA results directly to Wild Health and have not received a response, yet.
The phone app is convenient and mostly easy to use. The messaging platform is the most convenient. The computer site has a lot more options (I like how they show the blood work results in a comparison chart) and can be difficult to maneuver through.
In my experience, I can't say being in the program for 8 months has been financially worth the generic advice I've received when I could have spent the money on going to a personal doctor to receive actual testing and results in perhaps a more timely manner.
