The DDX 10 D2 is a great subwoofer. That being said, there is only one thing that I would change if I could. The RMS rating, I don't think there is any way this sub could run on 1000 watts rms. Probably more like 750 to 800 maximum rms. At 1000 watts, you will definitely start to smell voice coil, at 800 watts you get clean chest pounding atmosphere altering BASS!
