What an absolute joke! 930pm on Saturday water suddenly gushed out of boiler! Went on App and logged an emergency claim/call. Didn’t hear anything. Had to call out plumber to stop the leak. Called Sunday morning as the app still showed as no engineer allocated. I rung them up mid morning to see what’s happening. They said nothing as you have to pay the excess (which I didn’t mind doing £75). However there was nothing on the App to say that they wouldn’t do anything without the excess. There was nothing saying to ring them. The service isn’t 24/7 because they don’t respond 24 hours a day 7 days a week. They couldn’t get a plumber to come till Monday afternoon. So I have had no water or heat since late Saturday all day Sunday and most of Monday! It’s not an emergency service. Don’t waste your money!

I had really bad experience with 247 they made me pay excess twice for the same problem. Engineer came to look at the problem didn't fix the problem problem, due to this I had to turn my boiler on and off again and again. When I got in touch with them they said I needed to log another claim and pay excess fee. They don't really care about people problem all they are doing cheap business that's all.

24x7 home rescue is the worst company I’ve come across so far for home emergency cover. Every time I’ve made a call for an issue I’ve been asked for money upfront for one reason or the other. All they’re after is your money so please stay well clear off them. It’s the worst decision I made to switch my accounts over to them and am regretting it. I have 2 covers with them and I’m getting 0 value for money. At the time of taking up the policies there was no mention of “charges” for call-outs and I’m on 0 call-out charges, yet, they make up reasons to charge you. The so called “free” boiler service set me back by approx £250 towards some repair which I was later told by a local gas engineer shouldn’t have cost more than £100! A total rip off! Today I called them for an issue and was told I’ll have to pay £75 upfront as the boiler age is >10 years. Why is this not told at the time of taking up the policy? What’s the £0 call-out then? Truly disappointed and kicking myself for trusting them. You’ve been warned…stay well clear!

Your engineer, enter my home, went straight to the back of my house asked me if I had a measuring tape then went on to tell me my flu, what is 3 inches to low and said he’s not doing a service on my boiler and would be in contact with me 10 minutes later, I got a phone call from your office or for me to buy a new boiler I told him no he said he was an information about repairs then I got an email said to repair the flue you would be £250 I’ve got another engineer out to fix that cost me £35 Auntie told me the flie was okay I will be definitely not recommending your company to no one i’ve returned to British Gas who have been doing my service for five years now and have another sit there, anything to me about the flue

I have just this minute cancelled the policy . My boiler is over 6 years old. When it came to renewal, I called in to see the options . I asked if my boiler required for a replacement , what would be the process…. The process was not explained at all and I was constantly being put on hold until they went to find an answer. Three phone calls after , I have found that I would have to pay a contribution of £1000, and then £48 a month for 120 months . In total, that is £6760. An average boiler can vary between £2000-£3000. I have paid a whole year for absolutely no reason whatsoever . Actually a scam, I should have thought it was too good to be true because the prices are so low. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. I have kept the recording of The last phone call with the sales rep and explained if it wasn’t cancelled then I would publish everything I have saved online with their voice recordings too. I’ve run with by a lawyer friend who said that is fine to do it necessary. In summary, the payments are pointless . The total cost of £6760 is not right nor fair at all. Don’t believe me ?… try calling them yourselves to find what would it cost to replace the boiler and the process . Let’s see how you find it . Maybe this message helps one person out there that is on the fence about being with this company

Service engineer broke condenser pipe. Tried to fix using glue and hosepipe. Both unsafe. Capped gas off outside without informing me. (Why outside????) Asked to pay 75 quid to repair, paid up front with no guarantee of repair date. Have had a local inde here who has spent 90 minutes sorting their mess out. Avoid this company.

I give them 0 or minus star. The service is extremely poor; even in emergency like leaks they take 4-5 days to send an engineer. They take call-out charges for the second engineer if the first engineer has not resolved your reported issue. Please do not trust them at all. Their policy is not customer friendly; it is just a money-making business. Their service engineers when identify certain problems they say the issue is not covered by the insurance, but they can give a personal quote to work outside of the company's contract. I am going to end the contract with them. If

Abslutely diabolical service. I have a leak thats dripping from the ceiling, they want photos of where the leaks coming from, i sent photos and said they cant see the leak, so basically.can't send someone down to fix it, might as well fix it myself. Unless you are handy and are willing to rip up.floorboards etc to find the leak, steer clear. Thats my direct debit cancelled. Save your money use the H one much better service and will tell you what I he problem is rather than the other way round.

Where do I start? To keep things simple: 1- I thought I had managed to get cheap boiler cover. It turned out they don't cover you if they discover any faults during the regular maintenance check. Boiler capped off without a proper service being done. I had to pay separately for an independent gas engineer who fixed my boiler and carried out a proper service. 2- I was offered an inhibitor for the inconvenience when the engineer failed to show up to a previous appointment. I phoned up afterwards to chase and I was advised that that a manager would phone me back. Several weeks later no manager called. 3- I logged a complaint and was offered a two months reduction on my bill in addition to receiving the inhibitor. I agreed to this. However, after agreeing that it did not make sense for me to have to renew my contract and wait for another annual service, the company agreed to send an engineer to insert the promised inhibitor but then retracted the offer of two months credit. 4- I was outraged that they would retract a previous agreement (retracting all of £10 from the compensation agreed which I found insulting!!!) and asked for details of how I could complain to the Ombudsman. They responded that this part of the cover is not covered by the Ombudsman so I could either like it or lump it effectively. This is despite the fact that their sales team assured me before I purchased cover that I would be covered by the ombudsman. I've realised that I am dealing with cowboys!

5 years of premiums paid, countless pushy sales calls for extras and addons - only to be told remedial works aren't covered on my boiler so i have been paying insurance for nothing all along. Since complaining, I have been harassed and threatened with a high termination fee for breaking my contract, the marketing and agreements say : " Monthly rolling contracts: We're very confident in the level of customer service That there are no contracts that we need for the sake of keeping customers."

247 Home Rescue is really crappy service. They keep changing appointments multiple time. Then when the engineer comes to do the service, he pointed out issues that he said would follow up and we never heard from him. I would advise anyone looking for their boiler service not to use 247

I paid £95 calling fee for the engineer to visit he spotted the problem and said will come back to fix it but never turned up. I called again the centre and to check for the engineer and they asked me to pay another £95 to visit again I was very mad as I have to pay again for something has not been fixed in the first place I have to cancel my membership due of communication problem between engineer and service centre. I advise anyone to take member to be aware of this scam.

I have been a customer for 12 years and never claimed. When I called to ask whether a plumbing service was covered I was told no. I have found out today that it is and I have spent nearly £1000 I didn’t need to. Customer service was rude and unhelpful. I asked for a manager to call back as they don’t respond to emails. They also charge a hefty cancellation fee making it hard to leave!

I had my boiler serviced in November when the engineer came out I was informed that it needed a repair I paid 95 to have the work done.I have discovered that there's a loose screw and it's leaking water slightly when I contacted 24/7 I was told it would cost me another £95 to have this screw fixed I am a pensioner and I can't afford to pay for their shoddy work I am seriously thinking of not renewing my service policy when it starts next year

I had a home rescue policy including landlord boiler maintenance. Last year the engineer was rude and irritable with my tenant. Didn't spend longer than 5 mins and claimed to have done the service and safety check. I complained I was not convinced he had done it correctly. Customer services said he was at the property 20 mins. My tenant said he was sat in his car for 15 mins after he left. The leak continued my tenant didn't realise I was covered so put up with it. This year my tenant reported it to me. She said its the same leak. I contacted Customer services. They tried to suggest the engineer hadnt found the leak but another advisor told me it was in the documents. No effort to fix problem. Tried to sell me a new boiler on a 10 year deal instead. I had lots of calls from the sales team. Then I booked this year safety check. No one turned up. Then they tried to suggest they hadn't booked the appointment. Then this was proved false. Eventually engineer visited but the safety certificate didn't include the hob. All previous years hob was included. Customer services said the hob wasn't included so the engineer didnt check it. My tenant says he did check it. I cancelled my direct debit as I it was coming up to renewal and definitely did not want to renew. Now they say I am in breach of the agreement so they won't rectify anything. I want my full year subscription back. They offered me £40. The complaints department us terrible. My 'resolution handler` Aleesha arguing moo points, contracting herself, attempting to gaslighting me and seeming to enjoy it all. They are law breaking dreadful company. I am going to keep complaining and raising awareness. No protection from FOS as its not insurance, even though you have a policy you make claims on and they use language like 'relax youre covered'

The company is a con! They sell boilers under false pretences for a 10 year warranty and provide cheap thermostats that are compatible and pack up within 6 months and they do this to cut costs and increase their profit margins. BEWARE!!!
