Barclays suck! They are by far the worst credit card I had in my wallet. I will never refer anyone for this card or services.

Heads up that Barclays does not have your back. We arrived at a Boutique Hotel at 5pm only to discover that it had been sold & new Owner was remodeling with every public area torn up. Room was filthy, soap was used, towels tattered, no shower curtain etc. We tried to get another Hotel but couldnʻt at that late hour. We found one for the next day but were forced to spend the night. When I attempted to dispute the charge, a no-brainer I thought, Barclays said NO- Service was rendered therefore you must pay. Called Citibank afterwards to see if same policy and was told no, you can dispute anything. I have used my Hawaiian Air/Barclays for everything. That stops now and will use my Citi card for travel etc.

I did not know the card was rated so badly. AARP should be ashamed of being connected to this card. It is impossible to get my Reward I can't log in. Is this on purpose?

I have had a Barclay's AAAdvantage American Airlines card for several years They sent me a pre-approval solicitation for an AAdvantage business card offering a 75000 bonus I applied I have an 820+ FICO score with 0 debt, a high income and assets exceeding 1 million in my business I heard nothing for almost a month Called several times only to talk to rude and nasty people who gave me no information After 28 days was declined Wrote to their corporate office executives and didnt even get a response They are the worst credit card company in existence in my opinion Stay away There is a reason for all these negative reviews Will be cancelling my personal card with them

Do not accept any credit card from BarclayUS bank. I have been fighting a charge put on my card that wasn't authorized nor any products received from said charge. This dispute has been going on for two and one half months with Barclays sending me between the fraud department and the dispute department like I am a ping pong ball. Trying to get to a supervisor is impossible, so my dispute will cause me to drop my credit card.

Wish I could do a minus review. They lie about your interest and when you need them to assist when they lock your card for no reason, all you get is people with a very poor grasp of the English language and no assistance. Don’t get this card, you’ll regret it.

Over a fortnight ago I wrote a letter of complaint to Barclaycard which has not been acknowledged. On my last statement there were twenty five transactions of £77.40 to the same company one beneath the other. The company notified me to say there was an error, apologised and put £1857.60 back on my card. Barclaycard did not flag this up which I find shocking.

Worst credit card service. I had a fraudulent transaction happen to my card in May of 2022, I complained and took action for this event, and talked with the fraud department and customer service supervisors, also. It’s been over 7 months and they didn’t solve my problem and they’re now saying to pay the bill. But I already sent all the transaction summaries which they asked for and it was clearly fraudulent activity. I’m not going to pay a single penny and please be aware of it. After 7 months it’s very frustrating and it feels like they don’t care about their customers. Worst experience!

Had a Barclay credit card for well over 10 years. Never late and always paid above the minimum each month I had a balance. Credit Line plummeted from $4000 to $1000 over course of two years. Total balance always under $1k. The company has routinely reduced my credit line so that your credit utilization has skyrocketed over the course of two years even though I have been responsible with the card and always tried to keep my utilization rate below 15%. Their squeezing the credit line has resulted in my utilization rate more than doubling and a total score drop of 40 points. This is done to lower your credit score and to harm your credit report. There are other better options, use them. Choose elsewhere.

I had an account with Old Navy (Synchrony Bank). Old Navy moved to Barclay. I was unaware my auto pay wouldn't transfer over so I have late payments now. I Never Have Late Payments!!! Now I have an alert on my credit and Barclay says I need to call the Credit Bureau and fix it myself. No customer service and understanding these people isn't easy. I will pay this account and close it. Don't use them!!!

Terrible security. Terrible customer service. They can not protect your account and it takes hours on the phone to get it fixed. My card had unauthorized charges and they replaced it. I used it one time and then there were unauthorized charges on the new number. they closed that card and issued a new card and I told them not to mail it. The new number was used and I was unable to lock the cards. Definantely they are being hacked from the inside. I asked them to waive a $2 charge on the fraudulent activity and they would not. b

Hopeless - inexplicably reduced my credit limit. I’ve been a customer >20 years, never missed a payment and had a platinum card. I hadn’t used it and didn’t need to, and my credit score had actually gone up >600 but galling to see nonetheless. No explanation provided. I shredded it and got a competitors black card with a higher limit within 48hr. Don’t bother with Bcard… they’re rubbish.

The absolute worst. They had a glitch that took out autopay twice... When they went to fix it, they reversed both, then said I was delinquent.

Worst customer service. It is no mistake that they are a 1.1 rating. Doesn't get much lower than that. Don't get this card. If you ever have a problem, it is a nightmare to get fixed (or even talk to someone from America that you can understand).

Unbelievably bad custom service, I could not run my business with such a poor service to my valued customers. Judging by the reviews they are not trying to improve their services Embarrassing.

My card was transferred from another bank. Every time I pay down they cut my line, pretty much affecting my credit score. I have never been late. This sucks

Horrible! Crooks! I have 7 credit cards. This is my "last resort" card. It has to be a dire emergency for me to use this card. Their interest rates should be illegal. And, if you have a problem, GOOD LUCK. Their customer service reps are based in foreign countries. Difficult to communicate. Their favorite response..."we will mail you a letter". Horrible. You have been warned.
