Worst customer service I have ever experienced. They don't answer the phone. They don't answer the chat. Placed an order and other than order confirmation no info received. Said order would come in less than 14 days. Here we are well after 14 days with no communication or update. Avoid. UPDATE: After receiving confirmation from Habitat that the order was going to arrive in 48 hours, nothing arrived. I then called again a few days after the furniture did not arrive and it had not been sent due to a 'glitch in the system' according to the second support staff, despite the fact the first said it had been sent to the delivery company weeks earlier! When asked when it would arrive I was told '14 days from now' which was 20 days after the initial order!!! When asked why there was 0 communication from Habitat at all, apparently this is company policy!!! When asked if I can have a refund because they have breached the agreement, the third support member said no and was yelling! Honestly would rather jump off the top of the Shard than give these con artists another penny!

I purchased 3 cushions online. After the initial order confirmation I received no communication from them for nearly three weeks then had notice of a 'credit memo' - a refund for my 'unavailable item'. No email apologising or asking if I would like to make a different purchase. A week or so later I received the 2 remaining cushions- again no communication or message to let me know they had been dispatched. I did however get an email asking me to review one of the cushions. I gave the cushion a fair review and mentioned the poor service. Guess what. My review was 'moderated,' and they said they were unable to print it as 'it did not meet their requirements.'

I have just received a smashed mirror from Habitat. I had to call more than once to get the mirror delivered in the first place as the order seemed to have been forgotten. Other things were delivered weeks before. What a shame. Habitat has always been one of my favourite brands and customer services were helpful, but the company needs to supply orders when customers ask (and pay) for them and in a good state. Basic stuff really.

Do not buy from Habitat! They have closed all their help lines. They claim you can contact them through Twitter or Facebook messenger but no response after multiple messages and weeks waiting. Order a glass picture frame which arrived with virtually no protective packaging and was smashed. You can’t call, email or get any responses to social media. I finally got through to someone at HQ called Andrew Hilton who was very nice and said I should hear back in 24-48 hours. It’s now been 7 days. I tried calling again today and they’ve blocked my number! So hurt and insulted. Having to store massive box of dangerous broken glass in tiny flat during lockdown. DO NOT RISK BUYING FROM HABITAT AT THIS TIME!

Radius bedroom furniture - I purchased a bedframe from Habitat Brighton in July 2022 and was told that the matching bedside cabinets and chest of drawers would be in stock shortly. After numerous visits to the store, emails and calls to customer services the items are still not available. I gave my review on Trust Pilot and this was their response - 'I can see this is showing in stock however it could be that the warehouse that delivers to your area is out of stock at the moment. We're unable to advise on when stock is due back in I'm sorry, the information on our website is a true representation of current stock availability and will refresh with new information as soon as the item is back in stock and available for you to buy so please do keep checking the site.' This response from Habitat is not satisfactory, 'Out of stock at the moment...' - six months is a very long moment! Customer Serices advised that it is in stock elsewhere in the country but couldn't tell me where. Still no-one can tell me when this will be back in stock in my area (and London and Yorkshire). I think it is wrong to have furniture on display which cannot be supplied. Buying the bedframe was a mistake as I cannot get matching furniture after being told it would be back in stock shortly.

After 3 years I finally treated myself to what I had hoped would be a nice new dining room table from habitat costing me £295. I was a little frustrated after being allocated a 2 hour delivery window of between 10am- 12, that this needed chasing up and didn't arrive until the early evening. More disappointment followed when I discovered the wooden table had a very noticeable indented scrapes on the top, numerous scrapes around the edge and a faulty mechanism that designed to move the legs meaning if you were to fold down the edges (an important selling point for me!) you would need to completely disassemble the whole table. After contacting Habitat I was told this is now discontinued and was offered only a £75 discount. I did point out that that would still mean I was paying £220 for a damaged table that doesn't function properly...? After asking them to reconsider I was offered only £95 discount as final offer or collection and full refund. Again this would mean I was paying £200 for a damaged table... I cant imagine anyone in the right mind would pay £200 for a 'new' table in such a state. I will be opting for the refund and unfortunately have to now deal again with the inconvenience of packing up and taking time off work/wasting a weekend waiting home for a collection. It seems a terrible shame and quite illogical that habitat wont budge on this as the table is un-sellable in its current state and they will loose money paying a courier to collect it plus also the cost of refunding me £310, when really they could have just offered me a more fair discount (which I would have accepted and kept it for now to tide my over as I will be left without any table at all!) at least then they would have received a bit of money whilst clearing their damaged stock and no hassle of organizing a courier collection. Needless to say due to this poor experience and the inconvenience it has caused me this will be the last piece of furniture I purchase from Habitat and I will not be recommending to Family/Friends.

We ordered an Askem 3 seater sofa about 18 months ago. The sofa has sunk so much in this time, and the cushions compressed that it is really uncomfortable to sit in. Habitat sent someone to look at the sofa but they said it was fair wear and tear. It seems ridiculous that a sofa will last less than 18 months before being practically unusable. The website states their should be straps under the cushions to prevent sag but they are not there so I think the sofa is faulty. I have contacted habitat to dispute but no response.

Received email to say item delivered to the nearest pick up Hermes shop that appeared on checkout for click and collect. Tracked it ....delivered and signed for at shop. Went to shop to pick up said they dont accept from Hermes. Rang Habitat .....no one picking up. What do I do now? A waste of my time and still no item. Rang Hermes....crazily bad customer services from both.

Would be 5 stars for good wooden picture frames. BUT no stars for the damaged frame (wood split at the back), the completely different frames arriving in two sequential attempts at replacement and the huge nuisance of repacking and awaiting collections. To get the right frame (clearly identified) took four deliveries and two collections, all with only the day given and no smaller time slots. They’ve given me a £25 voucher in compensation but I don’t want to pay a delivery charge (which they refused to give free) so probably won’t want to use it in a further order.

NO STARS! I made the mistake of purchasing 2 Seeley throws online. Awful quality - they have shed so much fluff it had triggered my son's asthma and is all over the house. We simply can't use them. They really aren't worth the money, so I asked for a refund, but Habitat are refusing because of their 14 day policy. I have been fobbed off by customer services too, having been dealt with by 4 different people, who simply repeat the same standard responses. The issue of a substandard product simply isn't being taken seriously. No doubt, this review (like others on Trustpilot) will trigger another robot response from Habitat. Never buying from them again!
