Sadly I never received my items. 41 days and still waiting. They very kindly offered a return label when I complained multiple times as my items were for a holiday, so time sensitive...not very helpful when I haven't received items to return. I am about to apply for compensation using the very helpful Customer Rights Act template. I wonder whether the threat of legal action will help the small man, or whether I just have to write the money off. The only advice I can provide is not to contemplate ordering from this company. Not a UK website (as the name would imply) and whether they are deliberately at fault or not, there is a massive logistics problem!!

I ordered 2 x T Shirts for my partner's birthday on the 3rd of April 2022 - over a month later...My order was undelivered and lost by Evri(Hermes) who are pathetic and I still don't have my refund from Alphinetrek. If you are based in the UK don't order from these guys, its a waste of time and money. Their support team is mediocre at best (They didn't seem at all concerned or apologetic) I've exchanged about 10 plus emails with them about my lost parcel and I'm currently waiting of my refund to reflect in my account.

I was slightly nervous having read some of these reviews, however my purchase of an F-Stop Tilopa camera rucksack and ICU arrived ok and just about within the estimated timescale. It was well packaged and Hermes did ok, although Hermes are usually pretty reliable in my area - that all depends upon your local delivery guy - mine is pretty good. Have to say, overall good price and delivery timescale just about met. Perhaps a little slow ( a few days) dispatching but as it arrived overall to time, seems fair enough. Also, they don’t hide the fact that they are in Germany (if you look) so why complain - just understand where you are buying from. I buy all the time from across EU despite brexit and generally no problems

Not a UK company despite the website domain. Ordered a gift for my daughter's birthday and it didn't arrive in time. Checked and realised it was coming overland from Germany taking 10 days to arrive. Don't bother. Use a UK company or Amazon. Cheaper and quicker in the long run.

I wish I’d read reviews here first! I received a pair of shoes that had been worn. I suspect these were returns that had been used once or twice. When I provided feedback to say I need to keep them because I can’t wait for a return and reorder I received a reply that was rather trite. They did offer a refund and an apology but completely misread my message and advised that I could not have a replacement as though I was a scammer asking for another pair to be sent prior to return. Anyway I’m short, very disappointed given they’re not cheap! I won’t be back or recommend.

Looks like they are still at it - I have been waiting 2 months for a refund and will be contacting my bank. I wish I had read these reviews first. Please beware of this company.

I ordered two sizes of the same pair of walking boots, to be delivered to the UK. They we're shipped promptly. I emailed them for an update on shipping and they replied the same day with an ETA. I kept one size and returned the other. The returns process was simple and easy. They provided me with an update on the return unprompted by me, along the lines that it had been received to UK warehouse and the refund was being processed, and they are now arranging shipment back to their warehouse in Europe. UK leaving the EU has made international shipments more complicated and I was slightly worried about the impact of this when ordering something from the EU, but it's been really easy, and Alpinetrek have been proactively updating me. The walking boots and their customer service have both been fantastic. 100% recommend them.

When I ordered my item it was not made clear that the company is in Germany (note the .co.uk web address which is misleading) and that it would take over two weeks from ordering to receive my item.

Thrilled with the company. I read bad reviews on here which made me worried. I ordered a Norwegian sweater at a very good price, used a voucher code to get a bit off and postage was free. The company updated me on despatch and the sweater arrived, beautifully packed. It is all I hoped it would be and more. I can recommend this company

Still waiting on refund after six weeks , I have now contacted my bank they will be clawing money back from then lol serves them right I have had enough please never order from this company you have been warned it’s disgraceful the way they treat customers

Another refund delay! Returned item delivered to their UK warehouse on 22nd January but still no refund. I have also been told that this is down to customs delays etc in getting it back to the German warehouse but it is now over FOUR WEEKS and still no resolution. I have used them in past with no issue but will never repeat this experience again. No further assistance from their customers services so I am just left hanging and out of pocket. Get this sorted ASAP!!

PLEASE Do not buy anthing off this company, they tried to rob me of £650 pounds for a coat that i never got and they would refund me they said they had refunded me but it was all lies, read all reviews they should not be able to trade. It took me 5 months to get my money back through VISA never again.

BEWARE! BEWARE!! I ordered through this site thinking it was a UK based company as I needed the product to be delivered ASAP. Turns out they are trading under a fake name and don’t fulfil their promise of 3-5working day delivery. I waited 5 days to be told my order still had to be “manually picked from the warehouse” because it contained flammable/dangerous items. I ordered a stove set which contained NO gas or flammable content WHATSOEVER. I phoned the customer service line X4 times and each time I was told a different lie. My order never arrived in time for my trip and they offered no recourse other than a half-hearted apology from a insincere call handler. Thanks for ruining my camping trip. DODGY, SNEAKY BUSINESS!!!

WORST experience. 0 STAR They delivered a worn pair, not brand new. As soon as the delivery driver left 1 minute ago, I opened the box, I was stunned!! It is not a new pair. Dried leaves inside the shoes, the bottom of the shoes shows it has been used/walked on surface at least few days, with dirts. And the top part of the shoes show sign of worn. I took photos, emailed complained straight away, they accepted the fact that is not in the right condition as it should have been!! But they refused to offer re-collection and return new pair, claiming no stock left, asked me to go to the post office but I am unable during this lockdown as it closes too early before my working hours end. I kept sending email, they ignored for few days, then came back asking me the same, I have to do it myself!! to return!! What a nightmare to deal with. I will tell friends and family never buy from this company ever!!!

I ordered a pair of Trail running shoes, after receiving them having waited a long period, I used on 2 short 3km runs (I currently run 5-8km every morning with my dog) and my feet suffered inflammation and very sore second metatarsal pain at the ball of my foot. The shoe fit felt okay but the narrow design (having been advertised as wide fitting) and the insole design caused this. I returned the shoes (having to pay shipping) and then only after 5 emails and a month of waiting and chasing received very vague responses. The manufacturer refused any fault in the shoe and denied return and I am still now waiting for the trainers to be sent back to me (which I will donate to charity as I cannot wear them). The Alpinetrek customer service team are jokers, no service what so ever, no customer care or communication unless pressed for and one very unhappy customer left out of pocket through original cost and return shipping cost. I would not recommend and I most certainly not use their shop again. I have used trail running shoes for the past 15 years and run in multiple OCR and these trainers were a bad design and poorly described on the site.

Order just didn't arrive and got email telling me a problem with delivery. No explanation or idea when I will receive my parcel. Alpine trek may blame Hermes for this - well they should know better to use these morons as courier for the company. My address is correct and very easily located. I wouldn't use alpine trek again. £70 down and no shoes. And a headache chasing this up. Avoid this company
