Replaced door curtain because of 75mm bow outwards. Replaced complete door as over ran, jammed and ruined door. Two call outs for doors not opening completely and re-programmed. Had to wait over 3 months since door locked at 800mm for repair. Fortunately men able to raise door on shoulders so we could get car and one or two tools out before dropping shut. New motor and controls fitted 2nd October. Failed in 3 days. Told 3 weeks for installer to return. During this time frustrating contact with Anglian field manager who appears to answer telephone if pushed, not act as if not important. Eventually 8th October 2020 wrote a two page email to Alluguard who actually provide doors for Anglian to install and suggested they coordinate a visit with Anglian to sort problem. They have not even acknowledged receipt. 2 men arrived today, 23rd October. The operative was at a loss, couldn't open the door without damage. We paid for an external emergency release device which doesn't work if the door fails. He has referred it to the manager who up to now has never been in contact and to Alluguard who haven't acknowledged any problem and told us they have no technical back-up at present. Now 4 months without access and looking forward to more excuses, delays etc. Why did we replace our old very heavy double garage door? Suppose it became more difficult to lift as we both passed 80 years of age and we wanted an easier life. Well at least we can't get to the power washer to clean up the drive, can't cut hedges or prune trees, see the potato harvest rotting, can't access the freezer to use contents before they decay. Don't suppose Installer or Manufacturer could care less. We have used Anglian for windows and doors previously and reasonably OK so we thought we would give them another go. Bad move. Any ideas where we go from here?
