Exactly the Sam problem as the last reviewer. - “I have had a continuous monthly order for aktivait for the last 6 months. My March order did not arrive and when I sent animed an email stating the details I was told that it was a “technical problem”. I was told to re-order and then let them know the order number so they could send it!” My dog is on life saving medication and I only knew there was a problem when the scheduled medication failed to turn up - even though a week before I had been sent an email saying it was on its way. Their phone was continuously engaged so I couldn’t even discuss the problem.

I am new to Animed and recently ordered a large bag of food for my new puppy. It was quite expensive, but Animed were offering it at a reasonable price. However, exactly 7 days after taking my money and placing the order I received an email to say it was unavailable. At the time of ordering it showed as 'in stock' and indeed still does on their web site. They did say they would re-fund me, but that the money would not appear back in my account for a few more days. I have checked my payment account and they have indeed re-funded (hence two stars, not one), but just as they have said, it will be a few days before I am able to access it. They have, in effect held onto my money for some time unnecessarily. Be warned therefore if ordering from these people, particularly if large sums of money are involved, and check that your order really is in stock.

Tablets delayed so had to buy extra tablets from vet. Customer service said they would expedite the items but still waiting.

Customer service is awful.They are Polite and they say all the right words but they do nothing to sort out their ordering problems. If your're in a hurry do not order from here!

I've always used animed for my pets prescription but this time a week and a half after placing the order they still have "issues with the prescription", but fail to advise what the issue is...this has happened twice now on the same order!!! My pet is in desperate need of his meds and it appears they couldn't care less!

There was some confusion over the prescription, and it was over the Christmas period, but my order was accepted on Dec 22nd, payment was taken on Dec 27th, and I got delivery on Jan 2nd. Good job it wasn't a matter of life or death.

Their prices are good and quick delivery, but almost every order of tin food results in dented cans. They put the heavy tins in a single walled cardboard box. Theit has been some discussion about the use of dented tins between us an Animed Direct. My attitude is that there's a small, but non-zero risk of the metal being perforated and air getting in. They were supposed to be putting a note on our account to put tins in bubble wrap, but last time it didn't happen. We usually get a partial refund on our orders. We also one had a bag of dry food arrive with a small sliit in it, where air could certainly get in. They replaced that ok. So I would encourage anyone who gets dented tins to tell them and if they get enough complaints they would pack them better

Ordered several times prescription meds service been good although have been let down once before for canninsulin delivery issues. Ordered last week to be told more delivery issues unable to fulfill order, they asked had I not been notified through email...No. Very unreliable, on their recommendation my order was resolved by Pet Drugs Online who I have dealt with before always been very good but goods cost more but for reliability and service I will stay with them.

This was my first order with Animed and it was just hassle from start to finish. They are difficult to contact, everything seems to take 48 hours to be actioned and they charge for express delivery which is misleading because their internal processes are anything but express. It cost more to use your own Vet for prescriptions for sure, but it is a lot less hassle than dealing with Animed

Absolutely terrible service. We ordered a few items and one failed to arrive. They told us they checked the CCTV and all items were packed. Absolute rubbish. They currently have our money but we don't have the item. Do not use or at the very least film yourself opening any deliveries

If you value your pet's health and timely medication delivery, I'd recommend you think twice before using Animed Direct. I recently placed an order with this company (order number #2007114290) for medication, which was critical for my dog post-surgery. I ordered it on Monday and paid for express delivery. According to their stated delivery timeline, I was supposed to receive it by Thursday. To ensure everything was in order, I called on Tuesday to confirm the vet check prescription, and I was reassured I would get the medication by Thursday. However, on Wednesday evening, I received an email informing me of a delay from the pharmacy with no estimated delivery date. I called them again today, and the representative was very unhelpful,suggesting that I might receive the medication tomorrow, Monday, or even sometime next week. If you value your pet's health and timely medication delivery, I'd recommend you think twice before using Animed Direct.

20% of tins of Hills Z/D Food Sensitivities Feline Wet 24 x 156 g were dented, two too badly to be used. Unfortunately I did not discover this until after the 7 day window allowed by Animed, could not provide photo evidence as my phone and camera too old (like me) and I had recycled the packaging. I offered to return the really badly damaged tins but Animed refused a refund. I can understand them wishing to avoid scammers but I am not one, so shall not be dealing with them again.

I’ve used Animed for years and have always been satisfied. However this week I ordered Prednidale (Prednisolone) 5mg. The prescription from my vet stated this exactly. Animed refused to Issue the prescription saying as I’d put Prednisolone on the request they could t issue it and I had to get a new prescription from my Vet. My vet said it was very silly, and that I would have to pay another £22. Animed refused again to issue the Prednisolone so I’ve now gone elsewhere. Very poor customer service. No one rang me back. A different person emailed me each time and I had to keep repeating myself. Useless.

Have been with this company for a long time. Recently they seem to have delays in answering the phone and delays in dispatching items yet we still get emails advertising their products. The latest problem is that they have run out of my dogs tablets. Have they been reordered, don’t know, when will they be in stock, don’t know, is there a manager too complain to, no, never any available. The last time this happened the stock showed as six tablets available, we wanted sixty on prescription, they have the prescription. Because the computer showed six in stock, no new order was placed as it showed stock available. Surely this antiquated order system is a waste of time. Can the computer not be set to reorder when it reaches a reasonable level, not six. For a company that says it is there for our pets somebody needs to look at their systems and delays. Angry and bitter about customer service.

Have used Animed for couple years buying same prescription repeat medication On the last order they changed the type without consultation to a chewing one rather than the dog’s usual swallow type which we mixed in with food I requested in a telephone call to return the wrong medication and was told by the call handler that she could see the previous orders we’re always for the swallowing type and that was changed without consent or consultation I was unaware that there is two types of pill speaking to other vets and suppliers they sell the swallowing type as these are more easily administered Animed say they are not going to do anything about it and do not reply to my email Be cautious dealing with this company, which I believe are unethical after paying them hundreds of pounds they don’t even have the decency to reply to me

VERY DISAPPOINTED AS A LOYAL CUSTOMER WONT USE OR RECOMMEND AGAIN!! Have always used Animed when our Border Terrier required specialist Royal Canin food after being diagnosed with digestive problem. When I came to order my dog's usual food I noticed prices had rocketed and therefore compared to other suppliers!! I brought this to Animed's attention as I had received many emails reminding me to reorder my dog's food. I emailed them back to tell them they were not competitive and also that I was yet to receive any special offers, as I was promised some months ago. Their response - emailed to say they would remove me from their email circ. list!!

I ordered medication for my dog on Jan 4th, supplied the prescription but to date, 23/01/ 23 they have not been delivered Apparently Royal Mail have lost them . I have called six times to date and will have to contact them again tomorrow Last Tuesday Animed were going to contact Royal Mail to establish what had happened to the order This afternoon after yet another phone call to customer service I am informed by email that I still need to wait for Royal Mail to complete their investigation. My dog has now run out of tablets needed to control his epilepsy and Animed are unable to tell me when if ever I will receive my order, although by their own admission if they have to resend the order it is going to be several more days at best Obviously I will never use this company again , that is , if my dog survives until I can get more tablets , but want to make others aware of exactly how bad their customer service is

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!! 2 of the 4 cat flea treatment pipettes they sent me where empty. I phoned them and was immediately fobbed off and told to email them instead. After almost 7 weeks I've still received no reply so I think it's fair to say they are ignoring my complaint. I should have read other customer reviews before buying from this company because it seems this kind of behaviour is standard for them.
