Well where ro start the fact we were mis sold a car being told the paint work was pristine but when it arrived from Huddersfield there are chips and scratches everywhere. No tyre repair kit no spread tyre the towing eye has been removed the tyres have chunks out it. We were told the car would be transported up and it was drive adding 200 + miles on the clock the manager Sonny at Huddersfield stating david apologised for saying that the car was pristine as if that make a difference him refusing to properly repair the car the tyres were not replaced the head of business stuart copeland not replying to any email however we have heard that he is not great to deal with which I am surprised t considering his position in the company. When we asked for a refund being told we can't it's against company policy its against policy to fix the paint the properly it really doesn't show a good picture of arnold clark as a company also missing buttons and loose buttons from the inside . As it's arnold clarks policy to not help in any way it is my policy to name every one of these unhelpful arrogant workers at arnold clark Huddersfield on social media I will tag and clark in it so you can have a watch and see the comments you might need to tell the staff at this place as I will be using full names! This will be true facts only nothing else so if thus Brancepeth have nothing to hide and are happy with the service they have provided they they should be over the moon with the review

Was offered £1200 for my Renault Clio online (older car but still worked well). But when I got there, after a quick inspection the guy said it was in a very good condition considering the age, just had a few light scratches here and there from age-related wear and tear.. but due to these ‘minimal’ scratches, could only offer me £660! Absolute crooks, they know exactly what they’re doing and will take advantage of people in rural areas knowing there’s no alternatives. Bet they’ll sell it off for about 5 grand now!

I’m never buying a car from Arnold Clark again. They are just cheats. Bought a Toyota Yaris on PCP for my fiancé on the 5th of September and it was valued at £16,348. I’m certain the value of their cars are over inflated because ONE MONTH and ONE WEEK later, I found a bigger car because this one is quite small and wanted to go for it. Apparently the car is now valued by Arnold Clark at £13,279. How is this possible? If this was after maybe 2 years then it might be believable. But after 5 weeks the car has lost that much value, so I basically have to cover £4k of my own money to settle the finance because the settlement figure with VW finance company is £17,300. The same thing happened with my own previous car from Arnold Clark and the car “lost value” of over £2k in less than a year. This is surely a scam. Absolutely ridiculous!!

I must admit that my current state of mind is far from calm. I find myself compelled to reach out to you once again, burdened by the immense distress and profound impact this ordeal has had on my mental health and overall wellbeing. The situation with your Preston branch on Hartington Road has left me deeply disillusioned and agitated, as they continue to evade their responsibility, disregarding the indisputable evidence in the comprehensive AA report. Since the inception of this distressing car purchase, I have endured sleepless nights, plagued by anxiety and frustration. The constant uncertainty and stress surrounding the faults in the car have taken a severe toll on my mental health, leaving me emotionally drained and physically fatigued. The inability to find resolution and the lack of empathy from your staff have left me feeling isolated and abandoned throughout this disheartening journey. To reiterate the facts of this dismaying experience: On 26th June 2023, I excitedly purchased an Audi A5 Sline - Quattro, envisioning a seamless driving experience. However, within the first week, my enthusiasm was quickly replaced by distress as a litany of alarming faults surfaced, leading me to seek a diagnosis from a reputable local garage. Their findings, which I will also attach, confirmed the gravity of the issues, further intensifying my emotional turmoil. The car's critical components, such as the gearbox, rear bumper, improperly sealed shark fin, and rattling offside heat shield, were found to be significantly compromised, rendering the vehicle unfit for safe and enjoyable use. Given the blatant misalignment of the bonnet and the substantial faults uncovered, it is evident that the car was misdescribed, leading me to believe that I have been misled in this transaction. The most distressing incident occurred on the evening of 24th when the car suddenly lost power, accompanied by an unsettling anti-lock brake system error (amber) warning. This terrifying experience, coupled with the uncertainty surrounding the car's warranty coverage, further exacerbated my mounting anxiety and emotional distress. Since then, my mental wellbeing has suffered immensely, as I grapple with the burdensome process of seeking a resolution. The lack of assistance from your staff and the dismissive attitude towards the AA report have left me feeling abandoned and unheard. This, in turn, has led to sleepless nights and persistent feelings of helplessness and frustration. In light of this dire situation, I urgently demand a swift and unambiguous resolution, including an immediate refund of the finance amount. Furthermore, I insist on the reimbursement of the £80 fee for the private registration transfer, as this only adds to the distress I have experienced throughout this harrowing process. I implore you to approach this complaint with the utmost empathy and urgency, recognizing the profound impact it has had on my mental health and overall wellbeing. Failure to address these concerns promptly and sincerely will only exacerbate the emotional toll this situation has taken on my life. I sincerely hope that you will rise to the occasion and demonstrate the integrity and compassion befitting a reputable car sales company, working earnestly to rectify this grievous situation. Thank you

Bought a car from them on July 18th 2022, on day of pick up it had two warning lights on dashboard. Brought back in and they rectified the issue. In September they called me and said the MOT was running out in October and to bring it back asap so they can get this done free of charge as it should of been done before it got handed out to me, come to find out the car had actually failed the MOT in May and nothing was ever done about it so I was driving the car around for 3 months with a failed MOT. Recently took it back to the garage for an engine coolant leak and an oil leak which came with a whopping £3.3k bill, lots of things charged to me which doesn’t add up if they had rectified the issues in October when it failed it’s MOT again. Avoid at ALL costs. Scam of a company.

Rude people, rude customer service. Our car was faulty since the day one. Really difficult to communicate with them. They were the least helpful ever. Independent garages scare of these people as they manipulate them and bully them through various channels. They also blocked me on Facebook when I shared my experience.

Arnold Clark failed to notify me when my MOT due. The due date is not mentioned on any documentation. I only became aware it had expired when I went to renew my RFL despite my servicing and repair contract stating you will contact when my MOT or service are due. There has been no communication from Arnold Clark since I purchased my car and service agreement in September 2021. I had assumed, wrongly, that my car's MOT was valid from the date of the service contract. Customer Services told me it was up to me to keep track of MOT renewal date as they no longer sent reminders, yet I have no documentation to alert me to the fact this was not due in September. Absurdly, my contract states when my previous car's MOT expired. It would make sense to include this important information on your new vehicle purchase too. This is not Customer Services of the highest level. I don't do a lot of driving but am appalled to learn I've been driving illegally for several months. Had I not prepaid my servicing and MOT I would have taken my vehicle elsewhere.

Arnold Clark complaint Bought new Renault master van from Arnold Clark Hillington in May 21. 25/11/21 1st fault reported 25/11/21 repair appointment 10/12/21. I was told save to drive with all the warning lights and loss of power. Repaired 10/12/21 28/1/22 Some faults return less than two hundred miles. I called 28/12/22 no one available at service department and was told they would call back, I waited all weekend, no returned call. Called again Monday 31/1/22 Was told no appointments for 2  weeks. I asked as it was the same faults that reoccurred can the fix my van sooner. Was told no. I asked for a replacement van as I couldn’t work with my van in this condition and was told no. Again appealed to them to repair my van sooner as the fault was going on for 25/11/21, but again was told no. I said that there customers service was disgraceful and that there was ether an ongoing faults with the van or the technician was incompetent and only reset warning lights and did no repair faults.  At this point service assistant spoke to someone saying I’M GOING TO HANG UP ON THIS GUY. I asked to speak to manager. The service manager told me I was abusive and was not welcome at Arnold Clark. 1/2/22 I contacted Renault Uk and explained Arnold Clark refused to repair my van under warranty. They arranged for the RAC to assess my van. RAC technician assessed my van as Un-drivable and stated that Arnold Clark should not have told me to drive the van, they have placed me in danger due to lack of power and properly causing further damage to engine. RAC arranged for a recovery truck to take my van to Arnold Clark Renault in Hillington. 911 Recovery truck picked up my van but within 30 minutes returned van saying the Arnold Clark staff told to take van back to customer as he was abusive. So on the 1/2/21 Arnold Clark Renault Hillington have branded me as an abusive person to Renault UK, RAC assist and to 911 Recovery service. 2/2/22 I complained to Arnold Clark customer service who put me through to business manager Richard Kennedy. I explain my complaints and said that there was no way I was ever abusive to there staff. He said me would listen to the phone recordings and get back to me. He at this point said that if I was abusing his staff they would not deal with me. I waited a week but no reply. I called again. Richard Kennedy final responded to complaints on 9/2/22. The first point he made was that I was NOT ABUSIVE but  he said I called there customer service useless and disgraceful and I called a technician incompetent. I commented that I did call there customer service useless and I did  ask them to tell me either there is a fault in the van or is the fault with the technician. I don’t believe this to be abusive or agresive as I am trying to keep business going. I also commented that I have bought a new Renault van every 3 years for the last 20 years and they have no customer loyalty. Richard Kennedy has decided that I am NO WELCOME AT ARNOLD CLARK. I now have an 8 month old van I can not get repaired IN MY OPINION ARNOLD CLARK RENAULT HILLINGTON WILL DO ANYTHING TO GOT OUT OF REPAIRING VEHICLES UNDER WARRANTY. IM NOW STRUGGLING TO KEEP MY BUSINESS RUNNING THANKS TO ARNOLD CLARK. Sent from my iPhone

I have always been wary of Arnold Clark as I have heard some bad reviews and issues that people have had regarding the company. However, decided to give it a try and seen as they were offering a good deal for trade-ins at the time, thought I was getting a good deal. Now, the car itself was immaculate, can't fault the valeting team on that part. Drove the car home that day, Saturday. After work on Monday, whilst it was still daylight, I had a look at the tyres, just as I had heard issues of old tyres and sure enough, the passenger front tyre, on the outer edge, was worn down to nearly nothing and the edges were all cracked. Took it to get privately looked at by tyre place near my work who told me that the tyres were all original tyres that the car came out with back in 2016 when the car came off the ramp. The tyres were clearly damaged, old and cracked and needed replaced. When I phoned and asked about being booked into get them changed under my warranty, I was told that if I paid for four new tyres, they would reimburse me for two tyres. So, now I need to spend another £200 for tyres to only get £100 back when the tyres should have been replaced. I was also told that if the tyres were cracking due to age, there was not much that could be done on their end. However, they should not have sold me a car with its original tyres as in nearly six years, there wouldn't be a massive deal of tread left. It is also approaching winter when decent tyres a must for getting around safely. So, I have felt quite cheated.

Great customer service, especially when engaging with my elderly parents who were buying the car. Adam Senior at Salford and Dan Smith at Newcastle have both been excellent. A blemish on the car was noticed at pick-up and they were both only too pleased to arrange for this to be sorted out (later date). Thanks so much!

I bought a car (Nissan Micra) from Arnold Clark 1.5 years back for 4800. As I am leaving the country thought to sell it back in Arnold Clark. They gave online quote of 1. 2300 ( good condition) 2. 2100 ( average condition) 3. 1900 ( poor condition) Note: my car was in really good condition When I went to the show room the quote which they gave was shocking, it was 1500. My first question to them was even the car is in poor condition I should get 1900, are you taking it for scrap? The answer he gave was there are scratches around the car. When I bought the car it was already 7 years old(2012 model) and all the scratches were already there. When I asked this he was saying I should have talk to the guy he sold it to me ( different person in Same Arnold Clark branch- Sighthill), he said : you can go to other carrages if you want better price. In simple words.... @#_&--&_°^€π׶{€=÷#( I want scold them in all the bad words) As friend I am telling this, don't even think about Arnold Clark to buy or sell the cars.. I have attached the photos which I took when I bought. You can clearly see the scratches when it was sold to me.
