Just purchased car Insurance as a quote through Confused.com was the cheapest upgraded to premium price per month went up by a few pounds but within a budget I can afford to pay monthly paid my first month by card initial deposit of £88.00 asked to send proof of no claims discount which I did via pdf file sent by email from my previous insurer only to get an email next day to send proof of no claims plus further proof of address, driving license both for me and my son V5 etc which I did or my car insurance would be cancelled in 7 days also asked to confirm details I had already filled in online through confused.com to get a quote in the first place this was on the 22nd of this month fast forward to today email received asking for proof of ncd again emailed customer service asking what's going on said they can't accept the proof I sent because it came from an application for renewal letter from my old insurer called my old insurer received a pdf file from them with covering letter stating my renewal was cancelled by myself because it was too high for me monthly but Aviva are still not satisfied they even said I had put my son's dob as my dob errrr I don't think so I know my son's dob so they accepted the screenshots of my and my son's who is second driver on my policy driving licences said I didn't need to confirm anything and then tell me they had changed my premiums from £49.00 odd to £73.09 !!! I told them I'm not happy I didn't agree for them to change my premiums I've asked for a full refund of my deposit they're refusing saying it's non refundable and my insurance has been activated for too long I started the policy on the 20th of this month.ive since then been in an running battle with them all day today demanding my money back they have the audacity to tell me if I cancel my insurance they'll charge me additional charges eerrrrr no your not Aviva you pay me my money back I'm not paying you a single penny of additional charges you f'd up not me I've cancelled the direct debit my end just give me my money back or I'm taking further action against you,To anyone who is thinking using Aviva for your car insurance or any other of their services DON'T BOTHER THEY'RE A BUNCH OF IDIOTS AND THIEVES AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE THERE'S BETTER COMPANIES OUT THERE WILL NEVER USE THESE GUY'S EVER AGAIN!!!

After contacting the CEO, one of the Deputies investigated my case, please see Previous Review a Month Ago, about car accident at Cross Roads. Most insurance Companies appear to have dispensed with legaly qualified and Accident Investigation qualified Staff for Cost Cutting Reasons, therefore CLAIMS HANDLERS are simply experienced in Processing paperwork from the IN tray to the Out Tray? Just like the DWP and PIP Claims, when they're not medically qualified to understand the evidence infront of them, to make a well informed Discission. If you complain about a 50/50 split because your innocent? They have to get an independant assesment done to Explain the Evidence you have provided them. In my case the independant Assesment proved I was totaly innocent and the other party were solely At Fault for coursing the accident. "PHEW", after 34 years no accidents and Claims I am still innocent of coursing this accident, otherwise I would have been shafted with a 50/50 or 75/25 Liability. Also you are not provided with a copy of the other parties "Statement of truth", so how can you defend your self against their False Misleading Accusations and Lies? The Answer is let Aviva make their initial descission, make a Complaint and state that you don't agree with their descission. Then Request a "SAR", Subject Access Request, for all the Evidence etc they have on your case. This should include a copy of the Otherparties "Statement of Truth". When they review their descission and state it is final, you are entitled to Complain and Raise a case with the Financial Ombudsman, Doo So Imediately as there is a 4 month waiting list? Once you have the other parties "Statement of Truth", youl identify who their claims Handler is? Check on line, and their Reviews to see what your up against. Usualy they are independant "Credit Hire Companies who supply expensive hire cars as part of their ACCIDENT CLAIMS MANAGEMENT SERVICES. Read through the Stateme of Truth, (Work of Fiction) and take it sentence by sentence and give your Responce / Comment on their Acusations against you. Go through the accident stage by Stage as it occurred, Detail by Detail. Always respond to each Accusation and give the Truth otherwise if you don't challenge it, the Court will assume you have accepted their false misleading accusations, as the TRUTH. Produce a copy for the ombudsman, one spare copy for your own Folder, and Email off or post one copy to AVIVA. if aviva don't accept it or win your case, the ombudsman is in Waiting to Review their Behaviour at a Later date? Aviva should change their descission and hold the other party "At Fault for coursing the accident, and forward it to their Recovery Dept. ALWAYS WORK WITH Aviva, and be prepared to go to court to Help them Claim off the Other Party. NEVER ACCEPT LIABILITY if your sure your Inocent and did not course the Accident. PLEASE NOTE: you can only be issued a 50/50 or 75/25 Liability against you by your insurence company, if the other party has Provided Indesputable Evidence that proves, "Beyond All Reasonable Doubt"that you did something that contributed to coursing the Accident! THATS WHY YOU NEED to request the "SAR", To see what Evidence they have provided against you. Most Likely there is No Sutch Evidence! So, your insurence company cannot Settle the claim Quickly by Wrongly accusing you of coursing the accident. Remember "You are Innocent untill Proven Guilty". Please note thease "CHC Claims Managment Companies" will pursue costs and Their own Car Hire Charges from their Client if they loose their case ???? Its in the T&C's in their Contract Agreements. My advise is always go Direct to your "Insurence Underwritter", not a Claims Handler.

Sent all documents in to make a claim. Waited a month and heard nothing. Chased them up. They said they needed further details. Had no answer as to why they hadn’t contacted me to request them. Sent in additional documents. Told me a simple bank transfer would take 3-4 weeks. They’re all heavily retarded. Still waiting for a call back from their manager to explain how retarded they are. Shame on you AVIVA. I hope when you lose loved ones that people treat you with zero respect also. What goes around comes around.

No one can get through to Aviva? Cannot speak to a human? Cannot discuss my motor insurance? They want email contact only, then 24 hour delay in reply? Put my insurance up by £350 in one year, no accidents? Clean license, no problems just their massive hike in costs for no reason? They don't want to talk to anyone, they don't want to help, its all completely mad! Forget Aviva and the robot answering machine who keeps returning to “ contact us by email” its all gone bad, and so has my business- i have finished with them for good!

Aviva Zero insurance is utter rubbish not very helpful when a claim is made even if it was not your fault! Would not recommend have had to do all the leg work myself regarding the claim no one in hand their 'chat' help is very unhelpful. Regardless of the cheap price not worth the policy when claim is made. Beware that they only offer a three door small hatch back as a courtesy car not a like for like as would expect if we're to make a claim. Even after advising that I have a family they were still adamant that they would not be 'upgrading' to a 4door or 5 door hatch back even after sending an email to the CEO the response was still the same. They took 5 days from the claim to respond which is appalling in any sense and their lack of empathy is disgusting. You have been warned Aviva Zero defacto utter sh**!!

Aviva are quite simply awful. £700 has gone missing from my bond. All Aviva can do is blame the bank when the bank have stated it is clearly Aviva fault. Wish I had never had anything to do with them!

Shocking company to deal with. Had a fire in commercial property. Refused to pay full amount I was insured for. Told me to go into a fire ravaged building contaminated with asbestos. To take pictures of a few mouldy desks to see if they were ‘salvagable’. Asbestos report said my part of the building was not safe. Jokers. Steer clear. Refused any accountability. Took months of trying to sort it out. Typical shyster insurers. Try elsewhere.

Absolutely horrendous experience around a bona fide claim for water ingress. Went through to Complaints Team and they were equally clueless. Aviva referred my claim to 3rd party Agents who originally offered both support and equipment to rectify matters whilst at the same time stating that as it was Christmas New Year they had limited asset availability. Basically all their kit and employees were busy elsewhere. I explained I couldn't wait 3 weeks whereby they then advised their client (Aviva) that my flat would dry out eventually of its own accord if I (yes myself) were to install (my own) dehumidifiers. Plasterwork and flooring were removed and repaired at my own expense costing way over my excess. They provided a competitive quote (cheap) but I'm mindful of the old adage - you get what you pay for. Our Management Company has just renewed with Alianz so in the event of a claim we would hope that we can deal with professionals. 1505 complaints against Aviva were referred to the Financial Services Ombudsman in the second half of 2022 which will be a fraction of ACTUAL complaints. So feel free to form your own opinions. Shocking.

you can not get through to customer services to get the right number to use the legal service we have on our policy the numbers that are given are not in use we have tried ringing all or any numbers to get put through to the right department and you are given the run around catch 22 you get no where you can not get round the situation after wasting hours and hours on the phone even the staff in other parts of aviva don't know the numbers or can help they wont give the customer service number out they say we will put you through and then an automated voice asks what you want and repeatedly it says I don't understand you have to just press a number in vain of speaking to a human then they say its the wrong number and they will put you through and your on the same process again absolutely rubbish

Aviva Health is impossible to reach over the phone or via chat. Claims or queries raised via the portal take ages to be responded to. The terms and conditions on the policy are too restrictive and don't always make sense (it's OK to see a certain specialist but not when s/he consults at the clinic near my home). Refunds take ages to be processed (and it's impossible to call anybody to check status)

I have been trying to phone Aviva health for the last four days. The wait time is unbelievably long over, an hour at a time. Why? Are there not enough staff? Aviva get your act together for goodness sake? You are losing your good reputation!

Appalling customer service when trying to deal with my late father’s estate. They don’t respond to letters and keep you on hold ( approaching 3 hours to-date). Still not resolved, yet have managed to speak and get satisfaction from 3 other life companies.

While driving along an open road and driving through a crossroads with the Right Of way as Priority Traffic, a young lady approached from a side Road and failed to stop at the junction Road markings requiring her to stop and give way to me. My insurance company refuses to take legal action despite myself paying for legal Expence cover in my Premiums, my insurance requests me as the innocent party to accept 50/50 Liability or Non-Fault, so they can avoid legal expenses taking it to court. I am entitled to refuse their discission as I'm Innocent and didn't course the accident, however because I went online to seek legal advice and made it clear I would not accept Part or Full Liability, and I will Appeal to the Insurance Ombudsman to review the evidence, (as I am entitled to do), if I disagree with Avivas Descission, Aviva have Refused to Invite me to Renew My Insurance ! So basically, despite the accident not being my fault, Aviva have told me to admit liability or FAUX OFF, they will no longer insure me. They also said that pictures from a mobile phone is Insubstancial Evidence in a court of Law. so I have contacted Avivas CEO office and raised my concerns about their staffs conduct and Behaviour.

Terrible service!! Waited on the phone for nearly 2 hours then a voice message said they couldn’t answer the call and to call back later then cut off the call. How can they get away with wasting everyone’s time like this. I have no intention of renewing my policy with these wasters.
