Like Mason below, I've been holding on the phone for over an hour and am 7th in the queue. Totally unacceptable and will never use this useless outfit again. Also I will recommend to anyone not to use them.

Pitiful renewal process, make sure your phone is fully charged if expecting them to answer your call! Writing this review as I wait, again, in a queue of 47!! Third time I've called to simpl renew my policy. Bennetts antiquated and dysfunctional payment process online made this option unusable. Having eventually got through to a human last time I called I was able to make payment over the phone. Since this time I've received a letter stating that my policy is due to expire tomorrow and I 'need to take urgent action'!! I reviewed 'My Account' on Bennetts website, again no confirmation of payment made over 10 days ago which was confirmed by my bank statement. I'm now waiting , and entering my 4th hour, on hold, to find out what an earth is going on. Definitely my last time with this company who were so simple to deal with and offered real value for money, sadly this is far from the case now. Not sure why they think it acceptable to keep customers on hold for hours and not invest in functional online payment services. UPDATE. On hold for 42 mins and reached position 13 in the queue before I was cut off. This company is no longer fit for purpose and I'd strongly advise to avoid.

Took a policy out and they would not let me cancel the policy without a charge within the 14 days cooling off period. There was an error in the policy which is that I rent my house instead of owning it. I wanted it amended. They could not amend it because of a system error. I asked to cancel the policy within the 14 days. I was told I would have to pay £30 if I did that. They said if I took out a new policy, which I had to, it cost me £30 extra plus a fee for the first 7 days of the old policy. It should have been amended with no fees on the first policy and no further charge. It is also discrimination as I rent the property and it costs more because I rent. They were no help at all and I now have to go to The Ombudsman to try to get some justice. Dreadful customer service. Zero stars if I could give

Not great tried phoning several times got thru 3 times lost connection never got rang back waisted half a day of my life! Also £250 dearer

Rang to update address on my 2 policys, One was waived as it only had a month left on it and I wasn't prepared to pay the admin fee, the other policy had 8 months so i had to pay the admin fee UPTO £32 (UPTO been the key word), so they charged me the full £32 for editing a box and added another £20 on top saying saying the insurance have added it. Next time I insure both bikes, it will not be with Bennetts. Not recommended robbing b@##ds Don't bother with your copy n past reply which requires more effort than box editing an address, shame on you Bennetts.

Brilliant service , talked to Tania, so helpful, so kind and patient, both bike insured and informations clear, love Tania , love Bennett insurance , they called me back and I ended up having a cheaper insurance , fantabulous ! Best regards, see you next year !

The solicitors that they use are useless and not on your side. Had a crash were the other rider crashed into the side of my bike as i was going through a junction. Guy owned up to it as he was undertaking other vehicles when they had stopped for me at the junction. Wrote my bike off and gave me half the value of the bike due to the daft expensive voluntary excess. Solicitors aimed for a 50/50 liability. Now a grand down, no bike and will never trust or use this insurers ever again.

I signed up for a year insurance online. Apparently somewhere in the small print they said I signed up for auto-renew - though I usually read this stuff quite carefully so it must be well hidden and ticked by default. I came back from holiday and found an auto renew letter and they just took £90 off me to renew the insurance. No email. I called them to complain and they were not interested. Charged me £30 to cancel the policy. I assume this is illegal but probably they assume that most people are like me and aren't willing to undergo the stress and time of trying to get it back.
