Awful- kept breaking

To avoid a condom breaking, you need to put it on carefully and make sure there's no air bubble at the end. Be careful of sharp nails, jewellery or teeth. If the condom won’t roll down, it’s the wrong way round. Throw this condom away and start again with a new one as there could be semen on the tip of the previous condom. A bit of extra lubrication is good but don’t use anything with oil in it as it can dissolve the condom. That includes baby oil, Vaseline and hand cream. Lipstick has oil in it too. Heat, sun, oils, and chemicals all can weaken condoms, making them more susceptible to breakage. Keep condoms away from heat and light, which can dry them out. And, don't use oils or lotions with a condom, only water-based lubricants. Carrying a condom in your wallet, where it may be folded or sat on, can also wear down the material and cause the condom to break. Also, don't open a condom with anything sharp, like scissors or teeth. If you have tried one type of Besafe condoms and you experienced the errors then please send us an email to errors@besafe.uk.com with the type of condom and its Batch number. We will send samples to our laboratory for retest and investigation. This will be a great help. But if you have used different types and accident occurred then there is possibility that condoms have not been used correctly. Thank you, Besafe Corporation team

Very disappointed. Order with this company a lot, but this time, there was a problem with their paying system and the money got taken out of the bank account twice. I emailed them, they never replied so I tried calling, every day for a week... But there was no answer. I finally got through after a week and a half of calling, it has been sorted now. But their customer service is terrible, especially not answering emails and calls.

As a teenager who owns an NUS student card, the offer of the assortment of 30 for £5.50 by BeSafe appealed to me. My 16 year old boyfriend and I believed the products, initially, fulfilled their job. However, the only major issues we had we were with the extra thin condoms. We believe that this products endurance needs to be improved e.g latex' strength. After the condom having split during sex we proceeded to get very worried, anxious and upset about what had just happened. As young adults, with a life ahead of us, we see our sexual safety as paramount and want to refrain from having a child before we have our lives sorted and settled. We both don't feel confident in using BeSafe products any longer as even the safety precautions we do take, fail us.

These condoms are awful. I can not stress this enough. I brought a 30 bundle with my NUS card for £5 thinking they were a bargain but turned out to be a nightmare. We tried all types of condom hoping for one that worked but 5 split in no time after normal procedure. The first split caught us off guard and ended up paying £25 for a morning after pill (so much for my bargin), but on the other four times we managed to hear it break. Admittedly the extra safe ones didn't split, but were rolled so tight they would not go on. To summarise, we tried 7 condoms, 5 split and two wouldn't roll down. Also even if they did work the smell is so ghastly it'd put you off, so pay the extra and buy Durex, I know from experience that it'll work out cheaper!

I ordered condoms over two weeks ago and they still have not arrived! I'm not happy with this at all, some kind of communication and professionalism would be appreciated. Won't be ordering again.

Dear Maria Please accept our apologies. We dispatch all of orders in less that 24 hours and they don't take more that 72 hours to be delivered to our customers. We could have solved the problem immediately if you had informed us sooner. Please send us an email with your order ID. Our customer service team will investigate as soon as possible.

Completely different to normal durex condoms and me and my partner weren't satisfied at all so switched back to durex.

Had one that split - had to seek emergency contraception. Additionally, they are not as comfortable as durex ones, and marginally smaller (so tighter) than claimed. The textured pattern is just uncomfortable and does not add to pleasure at all. Smell is way too strong and lingers in the room for hours after. Bought a lot of 90, and they came in three envelopes, seperately posted, and in these envelopes was a vacuum packed package, which then contained ten boxes of three. Loads of waste and hassle. Would never make the same mistake again of buying these, and the remaining ones have gone in the bin. If you truly want to be safe, don't go with BeSafe.

I was impressed by the site and the ease of ordering etc - but one week after placing my order and adding £1.50 for 24 hour delivery, I'm still waiting for the order to arrive. Poor.

Dear Ian Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused. You ordered on 29th of January and your order was dispatched with Royal Mail 24 delivery service on 30th of January. Unfortunately we have no control on Royal Mail services. If your order has not been delivered to you, it has probably been lost. Our customers usually receive their orders in 1-2 days with Royal Mail 24 and in 2-3 days with Royal Mail 48. Dear Customer We are sorry to hear you have had bad experience with BeSafe condoms. Ensuring the quality of our products is of fundamental priority and we will investigate this non-conformity. All Besafe condoms are electronically tested for pinholes in the manufacturing area. This is accomplished by subjecting them to a high-voltage test that rejects individual condoms that, due to pinholes, allow current to be conducted across the rubber film. Each electronic testing machine is validated prior to being put into service. In addition the equipment is continuously checked by examining statistically selected samples from each machine and utilizing the water test method throughout the production day. If a machine is found to be malfunctioning, it is shut down and examined by the engineering staff and is not restarted until the problem is corrected. Product found to have failed testing by established statistical process control procedures is destroyed or is subjected to electronic testing again. Heat, sun, oils, and chemicals all can weaken condoms, making them more susceptible to breakage. Please keep condoms away from heat and light, which can dry them out, and don't use oils or lotions with a condom. Carrying a condom in your wallet, where it may be folded or sat on, can also wear down the material and cause the condom to break. Also, please don't open a condom with anything sharp, like scissors or teeth. Condoms may rip during use if they don't fit properly or if they are not put on correctly (such as not leaving enough room at the tip of the condom). They also can tear if there is too much friction and not enough lubrication, or if the condom comes into contact with a person's finger nails, rings, piercings, teeth, or other sharp objects. I can assure you that Besafe Condoms are not poorly made. Besafe strictly follows ISO Standards to produce our products. Our products undergo rigorous quality assurance designed to comply with or exceed applicable international standards. Numerous in-process controls during production and several tests are completed throughout the manufacturing and packaging process. Additional pre-shipment tests are also carried out before delivery of our products to customers. I would very much appreciate it if you kindly send us an email and explain how the accident occurred. This will help us to investigate the cause of breakage. Thank you, Keyvan Khodakhah Director Manager www.besafe.uk.com
