Had 2 minor faults in 8 years, both fixed quickly. Broadband gets very close to advertised speed

Everything is good and customer service always on 200mb lowest was 192mb. Cannot fault them

I phoned virgin media to cancell my broadband package as I found I could get the speed I wanted for half the price else where. After being kept waiting on the phone for what seemed like hours I then was passed to a guy who I could hardly understand what he was saying. I made it clear I was cancelling my contract. This procedure happened time and time again after I kept finding they were still taking money from my bank account every month. After several months I gave up and told my bank to cancel the direct debit. Virgin Media have now given my details to a debt agency saying I owe them money. Virgin Media are disgusting!!! They owe me money, they have illegally taken money from my account for months after I cancelled. I have today read that Ofcom are investigating them for making it difficult for people to cancel their contracts and leave. All I can say is that their Senior Management team should be ashamed of themselves. I wouldn't even rate this company 0 Out of 5 , I would say it would be about -3 and that's being kind.

Virgin media came to repair my TV/internet service on 17/4/23 8am the repair Man excellent the fact I had to wait for 3 days without a service, really not good enough. the 4 stars are for the repair man, regarding the lack of same day response I rate as zero. WHY DO VIRGIN SERVICE THINK THIS RESPONSE TIME IS ACCEPTABLE? my elderly disabled brother depends on the service.

My TV box was playing up did all the things as per instructions still the same and then rang customer services a really nice person to talk to and explained the issue, they did the usual testes etc fair enough told me there was a problem with my box and gave me a date for two days later. Young man turns up (Mathew) prods about and it turns out a faulty connection sorted within 20minutes very politely and efficiently. Brilliant service.

Overall broadband speed is high but never get the full advertised speed. We need to know if the speed slows down at peak times.

Have had issues with VM for a few weeks. Engineer came out and found loose connection to tv in the outside boxes. Then had to have boxes moved as incoming cables way too short and were surface mounted on top of our front drive. Engineer who was supposed to do the work last Saturday. Said" He was not allocated enough time to do the above work" 🤷‍♂️ Rescheduled work for this Tuesday. Arrived gave plenty assurance of his quality of work. At the end. I asked him to straighten up box in my front room as was more like the leaning tower of Piza. Engineer never tested my phone lines obviously. Went to make a phone call last night. Phone DEAD. Called out VM today via online. Excellent service 👌 Ashley a service engineer found out that. Previous engineer had not even wired up our phone. Very impressed with Ashley 👍👍 Jason. Please make sure you talk the talk. Thanks VM for sorting out issues even though was your fault. We had no broadband for 4 days but no compensation offered. Anyway until the next time 🙄🤔😂👌

Cancelled my contract 2 days in to the 14 day cooling off period , on their on line form messg, back thank you we will be in touch , heard nothing back I've rang them one call 1 hour 44 mins 14 sec, no joy whatsapp one day 6 hours no joy ,goes on and on they then said they would email me address to send back no joy so I sent it back myself ,3 months later 3 bills and threatening letter and email from their bully boy debit collectors I am being threatened by these people ,so it seems their on line cooling off form is just a scam ,people beware ,

staff are fast efficient very helpful people who don't let anything be a problem . Virgin media penalise people for having grandkids who touch a button on the remote control and charge £40 for the privilege thinking of switching supplier

Virgin Media's prices are absolutely DISGUSTING !!!!!!!!! I have had 3 price increases within 9 months! My broadband and tv package started off at £37 which was reasonable then, in July 2019 it went up to £58, December 2019 £71, April 2020 £82.50. I cancelled my direct debit now Virgin is gonna bill me £82.50 with a charge of £7.50, absolutely ridiculous !!!!!!!! I want out of this contract !!

I have been first NTL customer and then for the last 15 years plus has been a Virgin media loyal customer until two months ago (July 2019). We live in West Yorkshire and obtained good service from Virgin media on TV, Broadband, land line and mobile phone for 15+ years. Then problems started by July 2019. First broadband , intermittent issues and then all of a sudden it is down for 5 + days . You ring all the customer service lines and the problems continued for 7 days plus. No sympathy , no explanation and they also cannot guarantee that this issue would not continue in the future giving no option but leave Virgin Media. I appalled by the customer services in the last 2 months before I gave notice. VM is missing a trick, their customer services is saying they do not know why this is happening but only engineers would know. A customer oriented company should have a link between customer services and operational issues so they could explain and give some assurance to the customer. One lady I spoke did not even understand the importance of giving customer the reasons. This was not the case all the 15 years I was with VM. Their services have gone down. My wife and daughter both had VM mobile and without any notice they increased the fees and when rang the customer services , (a) they cannot explain properly in English (b) rude (c) do not care! We have now left VM and I do not think I will ever come back or recommend to anyone. I also hear our neighbours and friends who had VM are also very dissatisfied with the service and have left or leaving . I am not sure what sort of business model VM has adopted recently as their service has gone down.

Internet comes on and off,also phone line was a bit of a bug bear. Teething issues but frustrating nether the less..
