“Never had a problem! We have been with Brightside for years, always found them to be helpful and responsive. All of these negative reviews are clearly from people have done/got things wrong (like letting their payments bounce, or giving inaccurate information) but don’t want to take accountability.
IMO Brightside are a great company, and I would recommend them.”
“Exellent service amandrella friendly knowlagable efficient explained everything superbly, was going too cancel policy but hé whole demeaner helped me change my mind, she is an asset to your company”
“Fantastic guys that work there will recommend them to all my friends who require insurance for any thing. Jordan could not have been more helpful and understanding along with Callum his boss. Wish I had gone there for my insurance for my van from the very beginning many moons ago. will definitely be renewing with them again in the future thanks Jordan for every thing you did.”
“Stay well away from this company!!!
Wish I had read the reviews first as I wouldn’t have went near them. I took insurance out on the 22nd October paid £48 deposit and the monthly payment was meant to be £36. I received a letter saying that the premium would be going up to £47 a month with no explanation as to why. Tried to contact them at the weekend and they were closed that in itself should have raised alarm bells! Got through today after being on hold for about 15mins, to get put through to the cancellation department and hold again for another 20minutes. I asked why they premium was going up and was told I had entered the date wrong on a non fault claim, fair enough everyone can make mistakes it’s human error, but I was told because of this it couldn’t be changed and the monthly payment would still be £47 a month and they couldn’t change it! I then said about cancelling the policy as I’m within my 14days the advisor tells me there will be a cancellation fee and I’ll receive an email confirming this. I could not believe it when I received the email I am not only getting charged the £25 cancellation fee I’ve also to pay £40 part fee cancellation!! So Basically I’ve paid £113 to insure my car for 13 days. I would hate to see what would charges you would need to pay if making a claim. Stay well away from the company.”
“Please Please check who the underwriters of your insurance is with when dealing with Brightside, look up the reviews for Tansar and Action365 for all the awful experiences people have and effectively paying premiums for tansar never to pay claims out, without taking to the ombudsman.
Brightside should not still be offering this company as an underwriter with all the complaints”
“I am waiting 1.16 h . Still waiting for get through some one. I paid upfront payment. After 4 hours I didn't get my policy documents. It is really terrible.”
“This is a really difficult company to deal with. No published e-mail address for customer contact or online desk. Phone contact is preceded with a long preamble before ever getting to make service choice and finally a total disrespect for customer loyalty. Having had a n claims year with them the renewal request was for a 44% increase in annual premium. Wrote to ask for justification for increase, this was ignored with no response. Phone contact yielded a reduction in premium to a 23% increase over previous year. Search on Comparison website yielded a quote of which represented a 3.9% increase over previous year. So that's how they treat existing customers.
Hence AVOID at all costs.”
“I insured my car with Brightside. I am working long hours atm and had not checked my personal emails for a while. I have found they have cancelled my insurance without telling me why and refunded me less £100 cancellation fee without giving any reason for cancelling.”
“The customer service is the worst. I have been a customer with them, they are over priced but thought it was worth paying extra as I presumed it will mean better service. I called them saying I’ve sold my car and works like a quote for my new car. They asked me the stupidest questions for about 45 Minutes, like is your steering on the right hand side of the car? Anyway just to then be told they don’t give quotes, I must sign up and then I’ll find out the price once I have signed up. Can you please explain the logic to me? Who signs up without knowing how much they will be paying and this is because I’m an existing customer.”
“"Worse Insurance Company Ever" absolute rip off, cancelled my insurance 9 days in, took the rest of the months money no chance of a refund, charged me £95 to cancel with them, asked them to send me a breakdown of what the £95 was for, still not received any email from them, would NEVER use them again and strongly advise no one else to!!!!”
