I feel like this should be broken into two parts the first part was in store. I went into and spoke to someone called Joseph for a while about trading in my canon 6d and lenses for the Fuji xt2. I decided to do it and after speaking via email you were able to match my WEX trade in offer I had to so I went into store to trade it in. The body had to be ordered into store before hand and the grip had to be ordered for a later date and the lenses you had. In store the trade in took a long time because of it being ordered in and getting the paperwork correct some kind of return onto card etc so I can do the £200 Fuji cash back (which I haven't done yet and will see if the paperwork is ok for Fuji) this was fine as the manager and guy serving me were apologetic and I didn't mind the wait. I left store with the body and lens but waiting for the Fuji battery grip to be delivered. At this point I was happy with the service. I called back a few days later as I noticed you had the grip in stock but I still didn't have word that mine was on its way. I spoke to someone on the call centre and after giving my details said I hadn't paid for the grip this is why it had not been sent (not very politely) I said again I had paid for it as I had traded my equipment in and paid the difference. After a while of basically being called a lier I was told he would put my to his manager as there was nothing else he could do. He then said he would look into it and personally call me back. Later that day someone else called me back to tell me they had sorted it out and I had paid for it and they would most likely send it to me that day but he would send an email once it was sent. A few days later I got a notification from Fedex saying a parcel was on its way. A few days after that I received the grip. All in all it wasn't the best experience. If everything had been done in store I would have left happy it was the after service with the online part that was very disjointed and left me not want to use your company again especially online. Like I said the people that served me were very good in store and after leaving that day I even talked a friend into trading some equipment in there but now I wouldn't.

i did a big order of a 5D Mk 4, 24-105 f4 MK 2 Lens, Flash Gun & battery grip. It dragged on for ages to finally receive the stuff. I was checking the site daily to see if in stock & some items were showing in stock at other stores, so i would ring them to say why can't they send them to me. They would reply still out of stock so i would say your site says its in stock at such and such store, they would then say oh yes, well send that out to you. This went on for months, Eventually i would start getting bits of the order. Some of the items i believe were not bred new, ex display as instructions were out of the wrappers, Plastic cap that fitted over the battery grip terminal missing etc. Speak to them and no help with the answers. As per a lot of customer services, they never return phonecalls so just gave up on the debate about not new itms being sent out when they should have been new & sealed still. Although a great range of stock, half the time its never in stock or its sold to you as in stock, then an email comes after payment etc saying we will tell you when its in stock & dispatch. I now stick to my local Jessops store, some of the staff have immense knowledge just about anything I've asked about, far more than any calumet staff member has been able to answer. Jessops have the stuff you want & if not in stock, they get it rapidly & keep you updated. They also runs good discount deals on a regular basis so you can guess where i go to now, calumet, potentially your a great company who could be unbeatable in this market, but your attention to detail, stock & customer service let you down massively.

Took the time to talk to me in-store (manchester), and were very helpful in helping me decide what camera to buy. One of the items wasn't available in stock, and so they had it mailed out to me, very quickly.

Having purchased a UV filter lens for a newly-acquired second-hand Nikon zoom from Calumet, I ordered a lens hood for the same lens. The wrong one arrived: these things happen. I then explained that I needed the correct one quickly, to meet a travel deadline. I was assured that Calumet would phone Nikon to see if one was in stock, and would phone me to let me know if the deadline could be met. On my phoning Calumet (not having heard anything) I was told that Nikon had the item in stock, that the deadline could be met, and that I would be notified. On my making contact again (having again heard nothing) I was told it was very unlikely that the (now very close) deadline could be met, because "Nikon were often slow with such matters". An E-Bay supplier came up with the goods overnight and at a quarter of the price. I'm aware that a lens hood is small beer compared with the expensive equipment available from Calumet: that does not excuse the poor customer service.

Danny on the sales counter was a very awesome to me & my colleagueSteve. We bought an osma camera & we were shown how it works in great detail. He also gave me his card in case I need any future advice. Excellent shop & service, thanks Danny big hands

Calumet are willing to order the small things like the Canon wrist strap or lense hoods. Other dealers only want you to buy the lense but won't stock or order you the lense hood.

The people I spoke to were able to take time and answer all my questions, some rather technical. But the result of the time and effort enabled me to make the correct purchase and feel happy about spending a large sum of money. The delivery next day came early and the A3+ printer is installed and working well. I would be happy on this experience to recommend Calumet to other people looking for photographic goods.

I have just qualified from art school and decided to begin producing a better and higher standard of images from previous experience quality equals outstanding and the paper I ordered is exactly that including the box it arrived in.

The staff are always friendly and helpful, especially at the Edinburgh branch. It's a nice well laid out store even if it is a little off the beaten track. Well stocked & if they don't have it they'll order for you. All in all a good shopping experience
