Unfortunately I am still with this joke of a company, I wish I would of looked at there awful reviews before I wasted a whole year with them. They won't answer the phone or emails, my solicitor left and no one tells you.

Absolutely horrendous experience. Can't belive they are authorised to work in the UK. Must be reported to SRA. This practice should close down. They don't respond emails, phones and above all lie that they left msg on VM when it was deactivated. Never trust these.

Horrendous very rude and very unprofessional I have no faith at all with carpenters my claim started 23 months ago and it’s going no where they won’t communicate with you they tell lies and make every excuse they can I’m now on to my 4th case hander but carpenters couldn’t be bothered to tell me and I thought my last case hander was bad this one is even worse won’t reply to emails or voicemail you can ring the no. 100 times and get no answer now the line is out of service you ask for a manager or anyone in charge and guess what no one will answer get told someone will ring and guess what no one does it’s like putting teeth getting any information out off them you get pushed from pillar to post you don’t get any support at all need to AVOID this tin pot company just too lazy rude and unprofessional now after taking to the insurance company I will be ringing my own solicitor up who is willing and ready to take over I wanted to give zero stars

These guys are very bad with communication. My case handler and her Team Manager have failed to keep me updated. Ignoring calls and emails.

Absolutely disgraceful company. Totally unavailable to discuss anything to do with my RTA that occurred nearly 2 years ago. I have never experienced such unprofessionalism. Refused to send paper copies of the ongoing claim- I had no option but to instruct another solicitor to act on my behalf. Hoe this company survives is beyond belief. Complaint to the ombudsman has been made. Avoid Avoid Avoid

My daughter and I had a non fault accident over a year ago, third party accepted liability straight away, should of been a straight forward case, however 3 claim handlers later very little communication, they don't answer phone calls or emails, there website where apparently you can track your claim is rubbish, appointment dates which we apparently attended in 2024 which should of said 2023, absolutely useless, avoid at all costs as they just leave you feeling very frustrated.

There is no communication from this company, I have called on at least 20 occasions and have given up as no one answers and no ability to leave a message. I have also sent many e-mails and instant messengers with no luck. They have incorrect information on my account but no way to rectify as you can not contact anyone. DO NOT USE if you have a choice, this company was issued to me by my car insurance company Hastings under my legal protection. I have made a complaint to the company of which they have come back no fault found which is a joke as I have still not been able to speak to anyone. I have now referred to the legal Ombudsman to try an gain some communication.

They have caused me more stress and anxiety than the accident! I’m on the third case handler and like the other two, this one doesn’t respond either! I’ve got a no fault claim which the third party has accepted liability, I’m desperate to settle so I can get away from Carpenters. My insurance company should never have recommended me to this unresponsive firm, I hold them responsible for appointing these solicitors knowing clients can be vulnerable after an accident . Avoid this firm or endure inevitable stress , anxiety and frustration

this company is a joke! were at the end of November and i try email and i get a reply saying my case handler is away until 25th September. i have been calling them for 2 months 3 times a day but today has been 7 times trying different ways to speak to a human but still nothing. I'm spending hours on the phone weekly. nobody ever contacts you. stay away from this company at all costs!! I've never had a call back yet since January.

Awful awful company they lied to me and told me they are working on behalf of my insurance company. Now they are trying to send letters saying I owe them £1100 or they will put a ccj against my name. Do not use this company they will blackmail you and try and ruin your life. Avoid guys.

If I could leave zero Stars I would. Absolutely shocking company, staff are incompetent. They ignore every email and phone call you make. Avoid at all costs. Had 6 weeks of physio for a car crash and they closed my claim without paying me anything for my injuries and didn’t bother telling me after over a year of chasing! No letters phone calls or anything. An absolute cowboy company. DO NOT USE!!!

What an absolute joke this company is. They cannot and do not communicate. I emailed a number of times asking for someone to call me as I didn’t understand what information was required and guess what, no one called me. I spoke to an agent today who became aggressive, abusive and tried to threaten me. At first said I hadn’t then had then hadn’t, sent information over to them. The staff are awful not proper solicitors and the company is an embarrassment. I felt so threatened and when I asked for help, I got shouted at. The agent I spoke to today said he didn’t care about previous phone call, when I asked for them to be listened to. I would advise anyone to stay away and anyone with ongoing issues to immediately contact the SRA. Not worth the stress, anxiety or belittling they cause. Incompetent and rude staff who don’t care.

I’ve never come across a more incompetent firm of solicitors, I won’t go into detail the comments on here tell you all you need to know but I’ve been waiting 3 years 7 months for a non fault injury claim payment,not even had an offer also on the 4th appointed solicitor. Avoid at all costs!!

I have been emailing and calling carpenters, since last year and no one has got back in touch with me. I keep getting automated message sent to me nearly everyday. About my medical report which I have sent all relevant information on their portal for. They don't answer the phone or reply to your emails. My caseworker who is assigned to me hasn't replied even though I've left so many messages.

My no liability accident happened in 2019 . I had 4 so called solicitors and the last one just upped and left while I was insisting on going to court . I was fed lies and excuses until the time limit was nearly up. We left and found a decent company who have also had to start again as the damage has been done. Do not stay with this company the good comments come from insiders to boost praise.

Horrendous! Do not use this company! Even their good reviews on Google start off with the same sentence or mention names so they get a bonus, you can tell the real from the fake ones! Would never, ever recommend!

I was advised to pursue my claim with Carpenters by Hastings - I can only imagine Hastings get some kind of commission from them as there is no other reason I can think of why anyone would recommend this company. I had confirmation on the phone in July of 2022 that my claim with them would be closed, I also sent this in writing via the portal. I was told on the phone yes this is fine due to all the problems you have had with us (I had already written a formal complaint and mentioned contacting the FCA and SRA because of their poor practice and absolute lack of contact). After this, my account was closed and as far as I was concerned that was that. Yesterday (a year and a half after my last contact with them when I closed the account!) I received a phone call from a woman, Natalie, saying it's reaching up to 3 years since my accident so they need to hurry and get the claim closed, they need information from me.. I told her my account and claim had been closed with them and she says there is no record of this on my account, how convenient! Then she changed her tune straight away saying I will be charged for the medical appointment and report (which was absolutely full of errors!) and any other costs will be billed to me. I have since sent an email to them and their complaints email to reiterate the closing of the account and that they are not to contact me whatsoever. Dealing with Carpenters has worsened my anxiety and C-PTSD and I am once again considering contacting the FCA, SRA and also the Legal Ombudsman should they continue to contact me and try to charge me for anything. The lack of service, ethics, contact and empathy from this business is absolutely disgusting. Do not open a case with Carpenters Group.
