I sent the below email two days ago to three of your staff with yet no reply. Good afternoon gents, Happy to say that i collected the car from Peter Vardy Kirkcaldy on Saturday. However, there are a some points that i require your assistance with; 1. Only 1 key issued with the car, can you please send through second one. 2. Please send through copy of the CCP standard tyre Ins 12 mnth plan. 3. Please send through copy of Peter Vardy warranty for the car. 4. Please send through copy of the 114 point check carried out on the car before purchase. 5. Autoglym lifeshine, was not carried out. Please see photos attached. I would not expect to pay £299 for this additional services and the car being in the condition that i received it. The body work looks like it has been wiped down with a wet dirty cloth, it feels rough and there it is not smooth and shiny as would be expected if it had been treated. This was commented on even by the gent at Peter Vardy Kirkcaldy who handed my the keys. There is green mould around the windows and at the bottom of the front windscreen under the bonnet. There are leaves under the bonnet and at the bottom of the radiator. The drivers dashboard looks like it has been wiped with a wet dirty cloth. I was advised that this service was for inside and outside the car. Please advise if you shall arrange for the service to be carried out at Peter Vardy Kirkcaldy or I shall be refunded the £299. 6. The copy of the “used non-qualifying vehicle invoice” that came with the car is addressed to Motonovo fiancé?? Please re-issue in my name. At the bottom of the invoice it states that I have paid £10165 and that Motonovo Finance shall pay £7515.99. This is not correct, as I paid the full value of the purchase as a cash sale for £17,680.99. Please change this information when you issue the new invoice. 8. As discussed with you last week, I received through the post last week, a hire purchase agreement from Motonovo. This is not required, as I paid the full value of the purchase as a cash sale for £17,680.99. When I spoke with Motonovo last week they advised that they had sent the sum of £7,516 to Peter Vardy, I advised them that this was not required. When I spoke with yourself last week you advised that this was a mistake and that Peter Vardy had paid the money back to Motonovo. Talking with them today for the third time, they have still not received the sum of £7,516. Can you please urgently pay this money back to Motonovo. Can I please have a prompt reply to the points I have raised above, as the service that I have received from you gents has been excellent but as you can see I need your assistance to resolve the points mentioned.

My experiencing buying a car from Peter Vardy was stress-inducing and incredibly frustrating. Communication between departments seems poor which leads to a complete lack of communication to the customer at times. The Sales Advisor I first spoke to had to get the answer to multiple questions from his Manager, he would get back to me with an answer to 1 question and not the other. I asked to speak to his Manager directly, an email was sent to him so that he would call me. I never heard from him. Information on Peter Vardy website was disputed by Peter Vardy and I had to at multiple times ask them to honour the information on their website that delivery of the car would be free and not the £50 that was added to my bill initially. Additional offers were not initially included although actively listed on the website. The Sales Advisor was under the impression that these offers experienced in January (I was buying in February) yet their website clearly says offer experiences 28th February. When I agreed the purchase of the car it took a further 5 days before anyone would acknowledge me to let me know when my car would be delivered to me. I was told by the delivery driver that this can be an issue of scheduling. That would be understandable if someone from Peter Vardy just gave me a rough time frame instead of not actually speaking to me.

Peter Vardy experience – February 2021: Viewed car on Saturday 6 February. There was a cigarette burn in the driver’s seat, but other than that we were happy with the car. The salesperson told us that if they could hold on to the car, they would repair the burn mark. So, we agreed the sale and agreed we would pick up the car the following Saturday – 13 Feb. I was then handed over to the Handover Team. They emailed me the invoice then phoned me and asked me to pay the full balance by bank transfer at least 24 hours before picking up the car – and to contact them as soon as I paid so they could send me a receipt of the money. I paid the full balance on Wednesday 10th February and immediately emailed the Handover Team informing them I had paid and asking them to confirm receipt and confirm that the car would be ready for collection on Saturday 13th Feb. No reply to my email. Early evening of Thursday 11th Feb, when I had still heard nothing, I contacted my original salesperson asking for this confirmation. Soon after I got a phone call from the Handover Team saying they had got my email and would respond. Through Friday I still got no reply. I eventually had to phone early evening on Friday 12th – and was told verbally – yes they had received the money and yes the car would be ready. But I still had no written email confirmation of receipt of the money from Peter Vardy. Saturday 13th – went to the Peter Vardy Carz Showroom at Hillington to pick up the car. They quickly brought us the car and the papers and sent us on our way. The points of concern: • The burn to the drivers’ seat had not been touched. (They told me they had been unable to get it done and that they would phone me in the next couple of days to get it arranged. Why did they hold on to the car for a week – only to inform me when I picked it up that they hadn’t done the job that they were holding onto it to do?) • In the papers there was no confirmation of the road tax having been sorted. I had to ask them to go and get me that. • In the papers, they was still no confirmation of receipt of my payment. I had to ask them to go and get me that. • In the papers, there was no confirmation of when the car’s MOT was due. They simply told me I’d have to go onto the DVLA website and find that out for myself. Two days later we did get a phone call from Peter Vardy to say that the upholsterer who would fix the driver’s seat would phone us either Wednesday 17th or Friday 19th February to arrange to sort it. There was no phone call on Wednesday 17th or Friday 19th February. On Monday 22nd February we phoned Peter Vardy to ask what was happening regarding the repair. They said they would look into it and phone us back within the hour. No phone call received. Later on Monday 22nd February my wife left a voicemail on our salespersons phone to say that nothing had happened regarding the cigarette burn repair. No reply. On Tuesday 23rd February, I texted the salesperson explaining about the repair not having been carried out. No reply. Now we have given up with Peter Vardy. We actually wanted to use Peter Vardy because we thought they were a good, honourable company. Unfortunately, for us, it seems they are the epitome of a car sales company that promise you the earth prior to purchase, and then refuse to answer your calls once they have received your money. The whole process has been stressful, difficult and disappointing – and we still have a seat with a cigarette burn that Peter Vardy have no interest in rectifying, though they promised they would. Sadly, I cannot recommend them.

The car sales man that sold me my car was lovely, he talked to us and done is best to connect with us and help us feel comfortable. However, i was promised i would get my car with £40 of petrol in it which it definitely did not have, there was dirt inside the car when i got it after i had been told it had been cleaned. I am missing some documents that i should have been given with the car and the car still has several belongings of the previous owner in it proving that it has not been cleaned to the extent it should have been. I was told i would get a call a week after picking up my car to check up on how everything is and i have still heard nothing over a month later.

Like all large businesses Peter Vardy Carz present a good image staff are friendly and helpful , however behind the scenes things are unorganised . Checks are left until the agreed handover time which means unnecessary hanging around the dealership in these COVID times ,car was not ready and agreed works not done on the car, after a 1hr 50 minute wait we left without the vehicle .We collected the car the following day after yet another 44 mile round trip to the dealership , whilst customer services and staff were helpful ,the supposed manager on site offered no apology for our inconvenience instead sees it as a blame game. Peter Vardy Carz need to be more aware of these COVID times ,holding customers on site for 1 hr 50 mins and extra journeys to collect cars are putting everyone at risk .To date we have had no follow up call from any member of Peter Vardy management to discuss issues that we raised with customer services .An honest opinion would be visit small local independent dealerships ,where attention to detail and repeat business is important .

My 2nd car purchase in four years from Vardy Hillington. This was a very disappointing experience. Car was not prepped to a high enough standard. Paint blemishes & stone chips not all fixed as promised, car breaks were squeaking within a couple of days, slight tear in the leather of the front drivers side seat, no follow up communication at all since I have purchased the car. I expect much better when you buy a £17,000 car, but once the money has been paid, I dont think anyone really cares.

Arranged to see and test drive 2 cars, drove 1.5 hrs to have one car on a ramp and one off site so couldnt see or drive any. Test drove the same make and model which was very dirty inside and had 7 miles so could not test it properly. Ended up purchasing the car on the ramp due to the price of it being what I wanted. When I got the car the windscreen was scratched, scratches were still on the car, the wheel badges were missing, there was no foam kit etc. The manager and workshop manager we spoke to on the phone and when the car went back to get fixed was very helpful and made sure the car was how it should of been when I went to pick it up.

I found the car I was interested in online and it was shown to be at another branch. After going into the Hillington branch and paying a deposit for the car to be brought over for a test drive it took 10 days to arrive. I had next to no contact from the salesman and had to call up myself to find out what the delay was. I feel the service and the store could’ve been much better as nothing seemed straightforward. Once I received the car everything was in good condition as expected, just disappointed with the customer service.

I recently purchased a used Mercedes Benz A Class Reg No YD64GXX at a cost of £12,465.00 which I paid in cash from my Royal Bank of Scotland account. I came to collect the car to be told there was a fault with the accelerator pedal.I returned the next day to find on my drive home the fault reoccured, I came into the store yesterday and complained again waited till it was fixed only to find the same warning fault today. I need someone to resolve this now before I take it further, 07836621968 Mr L Reilly

Extremely disappointed to arrive to collect my new car to find the massive chip in the windscreen had not been replaced. Invoice not properly explained to me and left me having to ask questions of managers. Will not be recommending your company again nor will I purchase another car from you. Also extremely hard to get a hold of any sales personnel. Was left with no contact for five days between purchase and collecting of car. Horrendous experience.

Car itself is lovely buy the process of buying was very stressful due to continuing failures in communication by the salesperson in charge of our transaction. We made 2 attempts to pick up the car as we were given the incorrect details and subsequently insured the wrong car, the colour was wrong and the car was then not ready to be picked up when we were told it would be. A very disappointing experience all round.

The initial sales experience was good, pleasant staff and we'll organized. Unfortunately after agreeing to purchase the vehicle this experience changed. There were multiple problems suggesting poor communication and disorganisation within the showroom. We got there eventually but I was not impressed and would not particularly recommend the showroom to friends.

Initially when i went to trade my car in abd get a new one all was well and went smoothly but after i had agreed to purchase the new car i could not get through to find a date to pick the car after days of trying to chase up my own car purchase i was told it would take a week to pick it up. After waiting an extra 20 minutes in the store while the car was being "valeted" there was dirt on the backseat and smudges all over the inside of the windscreen and webs on the mirror and i had issues with the car. After being told i would receive a call back on monday about this i received nothing and could not get through to the car store after calling multiple times every day i was forced to drive 20 miles to go into the store in person to find out what was going on. Very poor customer service and really lost my faith in the company. Took the excitement out of buying a new car.

The salesman George Kilday and the handover Lesley Bradshaw were great. Trying to actually speak to somebody when you phone was a nightmare. You get through to Call Centre ok but they can never get an answer at the garage. Had to resort to email and even that was slow. Also my car had no log book and no hand book despite only being 15 months old. Lesley did make efforts to track these items down however I eventually had to buy them myself from the internet costing £15.

I had to take the car back to get it valeted again as it was not done to a good standard and when I collected it it still was not as clean as it should be. When first collected it it was as if a rush job with a jet wash and chamois as half of the car was dirty, windows inside were filthy seats not vacuumed, old receipts left in car and not even sanitised as stuff on the steering and rear cup holders. after it was meant to be done the 2nd time it had been vacuumed and windows cleaned but the outside was still not that clean , Asif just been hosed down and the steering colum is still filthy. I had to wash it when I got home and now the car is properly clean. The muck that was inside the wheel arches and at the filler cap. There was a few stone chips and this is on a 19 plate 5 series bmw, so you would expect maybe chips away or something like that but no just a little touch up brush and now it looks even worse. I will now need to pay more money to get it fixed myself. The service has now changed and went down hill drastically. not happy After I signed the paperwork for the deal it took 6 days to receive my car and it should have been spotless but not.
