Tried to phone numerous times but no response or never called back - sent out young girl with trainee to hand over car so I wouldn't complain obviously - called head office about warrenty with car - no response a week later - totally disillusioned with customer care from Peter vardy - will be looking into legal options now

Absolutely awful experience with Peter Vardy, would never buy car from there. False advertisement sell dodgy cars. Bought a car had advertise the millage for 14300 on the day went to pick it up its 16970. Then give my 1 set of keys I was told it had 2 keys. Then break pads completely worn out breaks are so bad I bought this car for myself and the kids not very safe. SD navigation card missing it had mentioned with navigation system made numerous calls they don't answer your calls saying they are busy or in meeting.trying to ignore me. I have been treated very badly by Peter Vardy staff . I would recommend not going there selling dodgy cars, they say they do all the checks but they don't when ask for all the checks they have done don't show you nothing....

bellow are a list of faults that's was found with my car - Valet was extremely poor on collection, car was cleaned inside twice but still not up to a decent standard, car still had sweetie wrappers in the cup holders. -chrome panel at the gear stick was supposed to be replaced and still waiting on someone calling me to arrange fitting. -numerous scratches have been found on the outside of the vehicle. -plastic covering around doors and seats were lose and not fitted correctly. -wires in the boot were bare and held up with black duck tape. overall standard that the cars leave peter vardy are shocking. also, trying to contact aftersales is a nightmare, no one returns your calls emails.

Honest truth, the worst experience I have ever had buying a car. From start to even getting the car just terrible customer service. Promised a full tank of fuel for all the issue we have had ( I'd didn't ask they said due to the issues.) Didn't get it. One car key that doesn't even work. Alloys that's were asked to he refurbed due to discolouration and looking like rust.. Still the same. Honestly avoid at all costs... 3 week of pure stress and took the enjoyment out of getting my new car.

the sales staff were quite good as they help to keep my daughter amused for the four hour wait i had. i knew i would have to wait as i did not have an appointment. One was made for me for saturday which i was not told about and would not have been able to attend. I had phoned to say i had my document and was told just to go through by the salesman that sold me the car online. He had omitted tell Glasgow the car was to go to Dundee and had assumed i would go to Glasgow. I had phoned previously but no one phoned me back. i was told to phone my salesman Adam MIlne. I was half way to Glasgow when i got a phone call and they were very busy and i could wait until monday when the car would eventually get to Dundee. I was told that i would have to wait and i said that was fine. I was wanting the car so i could drive it before i used it for work. I got there and waited and waited and waited. the handover girl about 4 ish said she had another appointment and would see me after. I still waited and just after 5.30 i asked how long i would have to wait. I was told that someone would be with me. I saw the handover girl come out a couple of times and was speaking to colleagues, she did not look over at me and went away. i was eventually called over at 6pm and told me car was in the car park and given a set of documents to sign. No v5 document no talk through the finance apart from someone coming out to ask for my driving licence. I was told to look at the car i did ask if someone would show me the lights. They did try and fix the parcel shelf which was broken. While i was waiting the handover girl drove off !!! The car was stinking of cigarettes and the cleanliness of the car was disgraceful. I had to go back into the store to get my driving licence it was now 6.45pm and i was hungry, tired and wanted home, add to that a 8 year old that was tired and hungry too. I drove out the lot not really knowing how to drive the car i nearly drove into oncoming traffic. I had to go into a garage to get petrol and i was a good job i did because i probably wouldn't have had enough to get back to Tayport in fife. I went into the Carz store in Dundee and was told someone would call me back. Heard that before !! Someone did surprisingly but my phone died. I went back into Dundee store and explained my phone was dead and rushed home to wait for the call. I phoned Glasgow and was told someone would phone me back. Guess what no one did (bit of a theme going on!!) I called Dundee on monday and they said someone would call me back .NO THEY DID NOT. i waited until 6pm tonight to phone dundee and i am currently waiting on YET ANOTHER CALL BACK. There are burst seals, broken plastic step, broken parcel shelf and a valet that could have been done by Stevie Wonder ,who is blind thats how bad it was. The most serious fault was the seat belt at the back is not working, it won't stay fixed to the clip. I will be surprised if i get a reply but if i don't i will take this further. Dundee are trying to help but as i got the car from Glasgow they might not be able to as apparently they are different franchises ???

Horrific service car arrives filthy/inside is disgusting. Most stressful month I have ever had. To finish off with a car I refuse to drive & get into. With Covid you would expect a pristine car to arrive. Very upsetting & feel like I’ve been treated terribly. The Glasgow branch manager Steve was full of empty delivery dates. Could never rerun a simple phone call Will be sending in a formal complaint

Lack of communication/lack of information.I have purchased 5 cars from Peter Vardy but this will be my last as the whole experience was a nightmare from start to finish. I will not be recommending this as a good place to buy a car.

The customer service at Peter Vardy is terrible. They ignor they clients. A week of time I couldn't ask for the date of the car pickup! everyone was ignoring me! When I came to get it, it turned out that it was still not ready for collection, i had to wait until my car will be vacummed and refueled. despite the extra waiting time, the car was dirty inside. I paid £ 148 admin fee but now I'm wondering for what? I do not recommend them to anyone!

The deal to do my car was amazing & completed with 1 day.The next 12 days until collecting my car have taken the joy out of buying a car.up until Friday after numerous phone calls by myself I hadn’t received 1 reply.I hope for other customers this was a one off,but I will not be purchasing another car from them.

I purchased my second Peter Vardy car in September 2020. At the time of pick up I had a snag list as long as my arm. They assured me the valet would be completed again to a better standard. Upon final collection of the vehicle the valet still wasn’t up to scratch. I was assured that I would be contacted to arrange for the repairs to be made. No such call was ever placed. After many months and discovering yet more faults with the car I have again lost the will to chase Peter Vardy to sort issues with the car they sold to me. Have come to the conclusion that once they have your money they do not give a damn. Go to Macklin motors. At least they respect their customers!!

Not really happy to be honest. I saw a car I liked. The payments were higher than I wanted to pay to added a deposit which brought the payments down to my choice. Agreed the finance and got accepted, so paid the 50 to reserve the car but then I was told sorry the payments are higher now. (what the figure was before I applied the deposit). So I cancelled and still not been refunded my 50 pounds for a car I never got. Bought a car somewhere else now.

Please be careful when buying a car from these guys! Had the worst experience. Being told lies after lies. Was told car was ready drove an hour to go get it to find out it wasn't ready hadn't even been mot'd! Had no bumper as it was cracked. For this car was to get delivered and was to have a full tank of fuel and then car finally coming with zero miles of fuel when it was supposed to have a full tank! Horrible experience staff just have no clue. Also don't reserve online as you deal with online guys who ignore you and don't respond to any calls or emails.

Absolutely fed up at the runaround after buying the car. Salespersons couldn’t be more helpful before I bought the car but afterwards it has been a nightmare. Be aware of the ‘extras’ they add onto the invoice - after querying them, my invoice came down approx £500. Still not got my SD Nissan connect card for my Nissan Connect - sat nav etc is useless. Having to wait 2 months for my vehicle to go back into workshop to have previous scratches removed, despite being promised this would be done before I picked up the vehicle. Also huuuge concern is that the airbag/passenger visor is hanging loose with exposed wires!! Still need to wait two months tho! Day of pickup, the keys were dropped into my hand by an extremely unconcerned female with an ‘I can’t be bothered attitude’. Advice to others is avoid like the plague- my partner and son, who are repeat customers of Peter Vardy and who are both looking for new vehicles, are body swerving this place!!

First time used Peter Vardy, not impressed. One doesn’t know what the other is doing. Purchased a 6 month old car when delivered had no manual, breakdown, warranty or service documents which is the first I knew. Called to inquire where they were, salesman said would call back he never. Called the next day on several occasions and not one person called me back. After sales is diabolical, I spent a lot of money on my car and no one has the decency to return a phone call. Also lots of conflicting information on their website or as I say false advertising with lots of spelling mistakes.... Doesn’t give much confidence that they are very professional. Also had asked them to look at a scuff on wing mirror before they delivered, said they would definitely sort it, not sorted. Tell you what you want to hear at the time then just ignore it....wouldn’t go back as I can’t stand bad customer service.

WORST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE IVE HAD TO DATE. Everything started off as normal, had a look around, to be honest none of the salesmen were too pushy. We decided to come back the next day. Upon arrival, greeted by the receptionist, told them we knew what car we wanted and they assigned us John as ours salesman. To be fair to John he had patience with us when buying the car. The 1st car we wanted was nice, but inside looked very abused, scratches etc. John got us another, similar car. The car was brought over by John from the valetters, the car was stinking of dog and had a rip on the seat but we were assured the smell would be gone and seat fixed by the time we came back for it. So we were to collect the car on Monday the 21st December at 5pm only to be phoned by receptionost at 3.20pm and told the tear on the seat had still to be fixed!!!! I had asked to speak with the salesman, he was to phone me back, hours pass, numerous calls to the branch but finally a call back from John. After he assured me it would be 2 days max for the seat repair, I thought, fine we can live with that. The morning of the 23rd Dec, we sold our own car to we buy any car so we had no transport to get to Hillington. Arranged a lift to get there, at agreed time of 5 pm again, everything went fine, best part of 2 hours pass before we had to sign any paper work and then where prompted to pay, our agreed deposit of nearly £6000. We were told the car was getting dropped round the front by the boy who had took our deposit etc. Boy comes back and says there's no petrol in it, someone's away to fuel it. Another hour nearly passes before we get the keys, petrol stations 2 mins away? Anyway we get in the car, drive to IKEA, 2 mins away, before I got to IKEA the smell of dog hit me like a ton a bricks, absolutely disgusting! We drive back, and tell the front desk we aren't taking it for obvious reasons! They all agree. Bearing in mind, we have no transport with us as we had sold the car earlier. We have to arrange a lift and wait 40 mins in the freezing cold for that to arrive. Phone calls, emails, every day to sort the problem and get my money back has been nothing short of farcical. So 6 days later, with no car and £6000 out our bank we are still waiting on a refund, I was assured the money would be in my bank by today, but you guessed it....no money in my account. No ones interested to sort the problem out. Total Shambles!! AVOID PETER VARDY LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!

Firstly would like to say big thanks to Mark Dyer for all his help in a smooth, easy pleasant experience within your car showroom especially having a 10 week old baby with us. That was very good but since collecting the car the overall condition and cleanliness of the vehicle is not to standard. When viewing the car Mark advised this would be fully valeted and cleaned and when I collected the car and got home, after having a look we noticed this car hadn’t been valeted and marks on both front seats and on the back plastic on the back of the front seats was muck marks was still there which was there when I viewed the car and the back vents in the rear of the car were absolutely minging!!! After contacting and travelling through showing Sharon the marks on the seats and the vents in the back I left the car over night and collected it the following late afternoon and got home the vents are still in the same dirty condition!!!! Not checked the seats but will in the morning!! Also the service light was still on and when I advised about the Service light being on they said this had been carried out but not Signed in the service book which now the light has been removed but no evidence has still not been documented in the book. Not one happy customer!!!!

Disappointed in the prep of the car. Found old receipts of the previous owner and confidential information for the previous owner such as home address, contact number etc. Drove the car away that day and realised there were some issues with the car. Bought the car in December and I’ve took it in a month later as that’s the only available appointment for them to tell me ‘theres not an issue’ yet I had spoke to a sales advisor who had agreed there was an issue.
