Jodie from the sales department was great and has done her best to try and help fix problems caused by other people in other departments. The only reason I have put that I would reccomend you is because of Jodie. The service I received from aftersales and the garage was terrible and has put me off buying a car from you again. After 4 weeks, I ended up having to take my car to a local garage I trust to be fixed properly.

Your aftercare is terrible. I was overcharged for a year’s road tax and you are refusing to repay my money. I’m about to raise court proceedings

This garage is not worth any stars bought my daughters first Audi a1 from them on the day of pick up they had hosed the car down with water just before we arrived on arrival home noticed three large scrapes on bonnet and silver paint all over tyres returned the car and it took them one week to rectify and they still couldn’t do that they were a bunch of story tellers from the receptionist to the after sales manager I will never do business with those amateurs again absolutely disgrace to the trade

Waited 2 hours to get car from a member of the handover team. Never had to ever wait for that length of time, considering we get an actual appointment time to be there. Then I was eventually presented with one key which I questioned and I was reassured that a second key would be arranged for and I would hear back within two weeks via email regarding arrangements for this. Despite phone calls and emails to Peter vardy motorstore Hillington, no second key is forthcoming. Not a professional way of working in either case. The key issue to date has not been resolved.

The salesman Jamie Reid was brilliant and deserves 5 ⭐️ However the girl who handled the handover really spoilt the experience with her attitude and manner. She was totally miserable and ill mannered. The car was for my daughter who has been so excited about getting her new car but left feeling really upset with the experience. I certainly won’t be recommending you to friends and family

27th August Chose and purchased Honda Jazz reg DG68PUF with salesman Brian McWilliam. Returned later to collect it and trade in old Honda Jazz. Not possible as I had out of date Registration document. Hannah gave me number of DVLA to arrange new form be sent. Tel call very difficult due to loud music in showroom. Also true for all conversations there, worse due to wearing masks. I have good hearing but must be very hard for people with hearing problems. Could music not be reduced (preferably stopped) as adds nothing positive to experience? 28th Aug Brian phoned, offered to deliver car and take old car. I accepted. I had by then found I had a more up to date registration form. He phoned later saying Denise would deliver car instead. I asked if she could advise on car’s function. Assured me she could. Denise attended, very pleasant, helped as much as able but little knowledge of car’s function. More worryingly had no idea about and never dealt with registration forms. I informed her where to sign and what part to keep. If she is delivering new cars, she should be instructed about registration forms. She had also been given inaccurate paper work: The MOT history form was for a red Vauxhall reg DP68PUF. The Used Non-Qualifying Vehicle purchase invoice had not been signed by buyer. No car mats were included. 29th August Phoned Brian re mats, agreed to deliver them on 1st Sept and with correct paperwork. 1st Sept 4pm Phoned Peter Vardy to find out time Brian was coming but told his day off. 2nd Sept. Unable to start car? flat battery. Several unsuccessful calls to Peter Vardy and Brian’s mobile to inform him. Eventually Brian phoned early afternoon and said he would deal with it. Rayleen Kelly phoned. She’d contacted recovery company who phoned in evening and agreed to attend next morning. 3rd Sept Jump started car successfully and I drove 20 miles immediately and another 30miles later in the day to ensure it was fully recharged. Attempted to contact Brian both by Peter Vardy and Brian’s mobile throughout the day without success. Still require car mats and correct paperwork. 4th Sept After several phone calls to reach Brian, he eventually phoned to say he would deliver mats to me after 6pm. Attempted to drive car out of garage late afternoon but battery flat again. Phoned Brian 4.45 to inform him of problem. He said he would phone back in a ‘couple of seconds.’ Never did. Another member of staff delivered mats at 5.30. Tried to phone Brian’s mobile again 5.45 but not answering. 5th Sept Rayleen phoned and will arrange for recovery company to collect car again. For me this, still ongoing, experience has been very frustrating and I consider being handled badly by Brian who has been at times curt and dismissive as well as very difficult to contact. Other contacts at Peter Vardy have been polite and helpful. Your salesroom has a statement that your priority is customer satisfaction before car sales. I am very low on customer satisfaction at present.

Car store itself is a fantastic facility. Loads of choice. Helpful friendly staff. During these testing times is well set out and clear instructions are visible for all to see. Salesman, mine in particular Chris Mitchell was first class. Found the ideal car for me with 15 mins of speaking. That’s about as good as the service got from Peter Vardy. My car arrived and I was invited to come and see it which I did. I was more than happy with the car. A few items on the bodywork were pointed out which I was assured would be repaired. The alloy wheels were pretty rough and was told they would be sent away to be refurbished. Interior of the car was clean. Car mats were in the boot and all functions of the car were operational. Fast forward a week to the day of collection and I was horrified by what I discovered. My car was presented to me. Alloy wheels glowing having been refurbished. It appears that’s all that was done to my car. The points on the bodywork that were going to be repaired by the onsite body shop were hardly looked at. The chips on the rear bumper had not been repaired properly. I ran my finger over the bumper and the filler that had been used came off. 2 marks on the drivers door are still apparent as ever and have not been touched. And this was all found in poor lighting. To my horror the worst part that I found at the time was a bulge on the outside wall of the front near side tyre. This was missed by the MOT tester, whoever carried out the PDI check and the car valeter as the wheels had all been dressed. This I am sure you are aware is a road traffic construction and use offence which had I not observed could of resulted in 3 points and £100 fine minimum. The tyre was changed for a tyre that was lying around. The car now has different rated tyres all over the place. Having now had time to inspect the car closely my grumbling list has got bigger. This will be dealt with by way of complaint to Peter Vardy.

Poor experience from start to finish, salesmen never contacted me to let me know if sale was going through(I had to phone them) Arrived at showroom after 2 hour drive about 12ish to be told there would be a delay which somebody was supposed to tell me but never! Came back at 330 and was told 3 or 4 times it's just coming. Eventually car came round about 5ish. Gave it a test drive then eventually got away about 6. Thought about walking away a few times but luckily enough I love the car although since leaving showroom I have had to top up oil next day and had low tyre pressure on the 2nd day. Have had no correspondence since I left. Very poor!!

Been a disaster from the minute I bought the car. No one contacting me with updates, calling them repeatedly to ask when will I be able to pick my car up to be told someone will call me back (which never happened) cancelled the agreement because after a week I was told I had to drive back in to sign finance docs And then wait again before I can pick up my car which was supposed to have been done days before I chased it up (basically they forgot all about me) I cancelled the contract because I had no faith so they told me I could pick the car up that night. Picked the car up and hadn’t been valeted or anything. Still filthy and I had to go over it with a wipe when I got home (still waiting to hear back about my complaint) also not a stitch of water in the window wipers so I will be checking everything else to make sure the important things are up to scratch and when I picked up my car I was told there was only one key and the spare will be sent out to me which I would be emailed about (never got an email) and still waiting for key. Every time I’ve called about it I’ve spoke to a different person and had to start all over or the call backs are someone completely different. I was told if I wanted my car valeted I would need to drive back in with it and wait 2 hours to get it done or get a taxi back home and back in again which would be about £40-£50. I also sold my car to them for £3100 which I was told would be in my account in 3-5 working days and now the 6th working day and nothing! I have no faith in this company and still within my 14 days so only a few days left until I cancel if no resolution.

Worse than useless- sales staff that don’t have a clue what they are doing and customer service when you try to complain is non existent. Was assured a rattle would be fixed that I noticed on my test drive- still rattling. No service book or manual give at handover- told they would “make another one up for me!?!”- still waiting. Car full of rubbish under the seat from the previous owner- glad you are taking hygiene during a virus outbreak seriously!

Bought the vehicle via CITNOW videos. The salesman was very accommodating. Picked up the vehicle and the interior was absolutely disgusting. Twirl wrapper found in the back seat. Crisps and crumbs between seats. Muddy foot prints on the glovebox and coffee spill in the centre consol. Damage to the bodywork from seat belts closed in the doors. One of the key blades was bent as well.

Progressively going downhill with regards to their standards. Will be the last car I buy from the Carstore, cars being sent out too quick with no form of checks. Took a week before actually getting to speak to a sales manager who then offered to rectify. Too many cogs in the wheel from sales, to handover to after sales that don't seem to communicate with each other. Very disappointing experience and now a lesson learned for the future. Days of the customer being cared for are gone!

I am extremely disappointed with my experience of buying a car from Peter Vardy Carstore Hillington. There were problems right from the start of the process through to the end. The reason for my dissatisfaction are briefly detailed: Firstly, after seeing the car I wanted on the Peter Vardy website I went to the Hillington Carstore to view it. On arrival I was told that the car was in fact not there and that I could not view it or test drive it as it was in Edinburgh. I bought the car based on the photos and on the premise that it would be ready for collection within 3 days and prepared to the standard of other cars in the showroom. This was not the case. After arranging a pick-up date and time for the car, set by staff at the Carstore, when I arrived to collect it I was informed that the car was not ready and that I would need to come back the following day. The reason given was that the car was not clean. This was a significant inconvenience and also meant that I had to contact my insurance company to reinsure my current car for an extra day. The following day I tried several times to contact the Carstore to ensure my car was ready for collection. No one was able to tell me if my car was, or would be, ready for collection at the scheduled time. When I finally got the car the standard of the valet/preparation was terrible. There were traces of dog hairs in the boot and the smell of smoke within the vehicle was pungent. Cleaning within the vehicle was far below the standard of other vehicles in the showroom. There was also a sizeable hole in the carpet in the driver’s footwell. I took photos of this damage before leaving with the car. When I pointed this out to the staff I was given carpet mats for the driver and front passenger footwells after insisting something be done. The seats of the car were still wet from cleaning. There were visible scratches on the interior panelling. If I did not need the car I would not have accepted it. The inconvenience of not accepting the car after it not being ready the previous day was too much. After I returned home with the car I noticed impact damage to the front bumper in the lower right corner. I needed the car for work the next day or I would’ve brought it back for repair. I have since also noticed that the owner’s manual is missing from from the car, as is the cigarette lighter cover. I have since had to pay £100 for a professional standard valet to remove the stains and dogs hairs from the car’s interior and mould from the carpets which were soaking wet when I received the car. I have kept the receipt for this. I will now also have to buy an owner’s manual. This is not what I would expect paying £11908 for a car. Especially after being told repeatedly that the cars are prepared to such a high standard. I will not buy another car from Peter Vardy. I would not recommend Peter Vardy to anyone after my experience.
