“My partner and l visited this establishment on our anniversary in Sep 2018. We ordered and paid for two capuccinos, a scone and jam, and a biscuit. We were told it would be brought to the table to us. We were left (sitting) waiting 20 minutes for just two capuccinos, the staff member who was behind the counter, and was also the one who served us was even going out clearing tables while we were still waiting for our coffee, when we eventually got fed up waiting and went up and asked for a refund we were still charged for my partners gluten free biscuits (which he ended up eating as fed up with the wait), l felt the least she could have done in the form of appology was not to charge for it, then same staff member who served us then charged us for the scone and butter which l never even got!
l would like to point out that the cafe was not particularly busy, there were a lot of empty seats (this was not the reason for the wait, and not getting our coffee), they had just simply forget all about us! Was not a nice start to our anniversary day out. Little did we realise that this would not be the end of it.
We were both subsequently attacked on the owners Facebook page, and on TripAdvisor after writing negative reviews. I even received a very upsetting and unpleasant Private message from someone about it, l have my suspicions it was the owner. It was absolutely shocking the lies (this women told about us) and the venom she spouted, l still cant believe it. We were lied about, bad mouthed, and even threatened (owner threatened to pass our personal details to other buisinesses/establishments.
All because we were unable to give a positive review.”
