The cut and workmanship was good but the fabric (kino frost polyester) felt papery and thin and seemed to be worse quality than the Ikea original. Unfortunately we will not be keeping this. The customer service was very good.

Thank you for your feedback on the fabric and service. We see that you are currently in communication with our colleague, Omar. Hopefully, with his assistance we can come to an amicable resolution to the matter. We would sincerely recommend getting fabric swatches first before any major purchase. We hope with the suggestions offered by Omar, you would be able to revisit this review should we change your mind about the products :). Best, Samantha T. from CW.

The fit is really good but feel I paid way too much for the quality of slipcover I received from Comfort Works. The fabric feels thin. My couch does not look high end with the slip cover.

Hi Bernice. Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear that you didn't like the fabric on your slipcovers, despite getting the samples from us beforehand. We tested our Kino fabrics for durability and have found them suitable for high usage levels at home. If you prefer a thicker fabric, we do have our Classic Velvets and Madison that you might consider in the future. We do appreciate you for giving us a try and we hope your covers will still help protect and rejuvenate your sofa. -Melvyn from Comfort Works-

The options of colors and textures are great. The shipping takes forever, but they are upfront about that. We thought the covers looked nice BUT they are a bit loose even over our old covers (not a huge deal), and the worst thing is that they PILL LIKE CRAZY! We are super disappointed in the amount of money spent to redo our couch and it looks like we’ve had it for years. Definitely not satisfied. :(

Hey Andrea! Thanks for letting us know about your experience with our Everyday Tweed Silver fabric. With its loosely woven 100% polyester strands, it is known to pill a little especially with high traffic use. We advise our customers to try using a de-piller from time to time (once every month) to better maintain the look and feel of the slipcovers. Besides this entry-level fabric, we do offer higher quality fabric that fits your home's function better without the need for recurring maintenance, such as the Kino heavy duty or the 100% natural fabrics Cotton Canvas and Madison. If you are keen to get another set, we'd be happy to throw in a little discount for you. Please write to us at info@comfortworks.com.au with photos of your current set and we'll help you get this sorted out. Happy New Year, Andrea. Stay safe and healthy. :)

Rather disappointed for the following reasons: 1. Delivery was supposed to be 3/4 weeks. Took 9 weeks. 2. Import duty of £28 which we were unaware of. 3 The covers, though well made, are a poor fit. The base cover is too big over the bottom edge and the seat covers are 4/5 inches too deep. Shame but could not recommend.

Hey Susan, thank you for your feedback and we're sorry for missing the mark on the delivery process and the fit of the slipcovers that you've received. We've reached out to you via email and we do hope you'll be able to work with us to address the fit issues that you've encountered. We also mentioned that we do refund these import fees that you've paid. Once again, we do apologise for this and hope you'll give us a chance to make it up to you. -Melvyn from Comfort Works-

Feels very thin. It’s a gorgeous colour but I feel like I could rip it in half with my bare hands. Very thin. I upgraded per selection to a durable pet friendly resource and in truth the offer cost more than ten original sofa. But I hate Waite. Fingers crossed.

Hey Nina! We are glad that you love the color of your ClawProof Velvet Medium Grey. The fabric is made to withstand the tugging and pawing of active pets in the household - it's not meant to be thin at all. Please allow me to send you an email to start a conversation to see if there's anything we can do to help make things better. :) x Ning from Comfort Works.

I ordered 2 slip overs for my pottery barn sofas. I chose the kino ash fabric. When they came I was really disappointed. The fabric feels thin and inexpensive. The slipcovers fit too tight on the body and cushions. I deeply regret buying these. Compared to my original pottery barn slipcovers, they are total junk. I expressed my disappointment to the comfort works customer service and they totally brushed me off. Do not waste your money!

Hi Tina! We're sorry that you felt that we had ignored your concerns. It's certainly not our intention to make you feel this way and we did request for more information to compare the covers and samples you got, but we have not heard back since. We're also not aware that there were some fit issues with the covers that you received (this wasn't mentioned in your initial emails). We do take these concerns seriously and we've already reached out to you again to request for more information. We certainly hope you'll be able to get back to us so that we can help troubleshoot these issues for you. -Melvyn from Comfort Works-

The swatch you sent didn’t look like the actual couch covers we received, there was a big difference in color.

The slip covers are very nice, but two things: 1) they should be more honest about how much disassembly is required. I had to basically take my chairs completely apart. It took an hour to do the first one. Instructions would be SO HELPFUL. 2) the wireless charging port is really great and I think I will enjoy it. But the YouTube video was somewhat light on specifics. Instructions would have been SO HELPFUL. I am basically happy with the end result. I just wish installation would have been easier or the company had better managed expectations about what would be required.

Thanks for the feedback Alison, I understand your point completely and the only perspective I can offer you is that most of our customers who purchased a sofa like the IKEA Karlstad, would have assembled the furniture with the slipcovers and are aware of this tedious process -- it's really not our intention to hide this fact at all. Nevertheless we're glad you managed to get everything worked out, and would actually appreciate you let your friends and family know what to expect when they get their covers too -- we do understand our limitations and will take your feedback into improving our product description, instructions and overall experience.

A very mixed bag of experiences with this company. The good parts: - A convenient and economic way to renew your sofa - Fairly good and clear website, good fabric samples - Overall, the new sofa cover does its job well The negatives: - No printed instructions whatsoever - They produce an online video for your particular sofa, but then decide to post it in "fast forward" so you cannot see any of the details, even when constantly pausing and stopping the video. Some of the instructions on the video do not reflect what you actually need to do and are even in contradictions to this (as confirmed by the company when I enquired, clearly confused by said contradictions) - The one helpful and positive instruction is not mentioned anywhere - inside the different cover pieces, there is a label directing you as to which piece of your sofa that part goes to. - No instructions on how to install the USB addition - One of the cover pieces of my sofa was mis-taylored (the opening did not fit the slot on the matching sofa piece despite matching it correctly), making it virtually impossible to fit the sofa back together at the end. - Very poor communication. Replies can take days or even weeks, and often have to be chased by different channels (emails, messages on the website, chat, facebook). I am yet to receive replied to my latest enquiries.

Thanks for the candid and detailed feedback! And apologies for the lack of instructions - the Manstad Snug Fit covers tend to be slightly more complicated than the other IKEA sofas and while we'd like to think that the video has been clear, we'll definitely look into how we can make it clearer. In terms of our communications, we'd like to be able to respond within 24 business hours but as of July 2020, we had been getting a lot more inquiries than usual so delays of a couple of days can happen -- if it had taken weeks, it's unfortunately on us overlooking the inquiry and we shouldn't have any excuse for it, so we're incredibly sorry that it happened to you. Nonetheless, this has been made aware and the team have responded to all your messages via email and Facebook accordingly in the last 24 hours!

Customer service for this product was very good. However, the fit of the arm protectors we ordered is quite poor. Not only do they not extend the full length of the arms, leaving the back area exposed, they also don't extend the full height. Because of that, they do not cover all of the damage caused by our cat to our Karlstad sofa. So they don't do what they are supposed to do -- cover up damage/wear. Not worth the expense or the wait, in my opinion.

Thanks for your feedback - we do see how the armrest protectors look like they would extend the full length of arms on the website, but generally armrest protectors are made to specifically protect the arms and not the back of the sofa. I suppose there might have been budget constraints but in the future (we'd definitely give you a returning customer discount!), we'd recommend getting the full set of covers instead in our claw-resistant fabrics -- it's definitely worked out well for me and my 4 cats!

After waiting months for our cover it did not fit. The team worked with us to get a replacement cover. However when it came in the colors were not consistent between the main part of the couch and the cushions.

Hey there! Sorry to hear about these fit issues - could you kindly send over 3 wide photos (front, side back of sofa) with the slipcovers over your sofa so we can visually get onto the same page as to what may have happened? From there we'll work out the best ways to resolve these issues, either via a repair credit or replacement covers. Hope to hear from you soon!

The covers are well made and fit well, my disappointment is the fabric. I picked the clawproof velvet as I have 2 young cats. However, it doesn’t look like velvet at all. It reminds me of an easy care fabric that nursing home furnishings would be upholstered in. I keep looking at my newly covered sofa thinking ‘well it will do’, but that wasn’t really the outcome l was looking for.

Hi Claire, thanks for your feedback and for bringing this to our attention. We do understand that the general public perception for velvet is a fabric with a nap and most importantly the best way to mitigate this would be to always get fabric samples first to get a good feel and look of the fabrics in person :) Nevertheless, glad that the slipcovers fit well!

Waited months for our cover to do finally arrive. When it did, it fit the sofa but allowed no extra material to tuck into the cushion to give it a fitted look. The arms are always moving out of place each time someone sits down. I’m debating just leaving the cover off. It looks sloppy with it on. Super disappointed. This picture is after I tucked it in as best I could and one person sat down.

Hey Rayna, Thanks for your feedback and we're working on ways to make the Leather Version Klippan cover fit better -- the difference between the leather and fabric version is the amount of extra fabric available to tuck but at the same time, the leather sofa does not have as much space as the fabric version for this to happen. As such, (and with our past customer experience), using a fabric cover on a leather Klippan for example will result in an even sloppier looking cover due to the excess fabric. For now, this is the best cover we've come up with for the Leather Klippan sofa and if you'd like to have the covers fit in place more - there's still the option of upholstery pins available at your local Home Depot or online from Amazon (or you can drop us an email, we can send it over to you too). Hope this makes sense! Take care and best wishes, Chuck

Hey, we received our cover just the other day. Beautifully packaged yes, and on time (takes about six weeks to the U.K.). So excited to open my brand new, brilliant white, fitted sofa cover with a built in pocket for the Wireless charger and cords... Only it wasn’t brilliant white( it’s cream/yellow), it doesn’t fit very well (as it is too big on the corners, underneath and on the seat cushions - see photos) and the recharge disc doesn’t work with our iPhones (I wish you had told me it only works for some phones?) and finally the pocket for the disc is not sewn on straight! I work away and only just opened this weekend, or I would have let you know this sooner. I would really like this to be rectified ASAP with what I actually ordered: a WHITE FITTED sofa cover. Once this has been received I shall send this one back to you. (I can’t be without a sofa cover for six weeks as it will damage my sofa). I would like to send back the wireless package for a refund as it doesn’t work with our phones. Please get in touch. Thank you. M Smith, Totnes, UK.

Hey there Miss Smith, thanks for your feedback - with regards to the colour discrepancy, I was wondering if you had ordered fabric samples prior to purchase? Colours will always vary between monitor screens so it becomes a bit subjective as to how white a white fabric should be. With the wireless charger, as long as your phone is originally compatible for it - it should work. Here's a full list that we mention here: https://comfort-works.com/en/content/smart-sofa-by-comfort-works-269/ With the fit issue , I do see a looseness in the photo provided which we can easily fix with replacement covers and measurements obtained from you. However, if the colour isn't white enough for you then we may have to consider a different fabric altogether. Do email us at info@comfortworks.com.au, we'll work with you on this! Take care and speak soon, Chuck

Hello Sirahan! I am very sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with your slipcovers, that really bums us out. We’re usually known for our exceptional attention to detail, and we regret that we missed the mark here. Not sure what happened but an educated guess is that the handle for the bed compartment did not reach you. Please allow me to help check on this and we can resolve this together? :) I will be in touch via email to see how we can send you that handle to complete the slipcover. Speak soon! I have had my cover on for less than a week and it is seriously pilling. I am very disappointed. I ordered from you because I wanted superior quality to what Ikea offers.

Hey Sara! We are so sorry to hear that! The fabric of your covers, Luna Flax, uses a combination of linen and polyester, so while a mixed composition provides the best of both worlds (comfort and durability), some pilling is quite common (and inevitable) with these type of fabrics. One of us has reached out to try to help you resolve this issue. Looking forward to helping! :)

Misleading website. Quality is pretty good. Don’t just click through though. IKEA furniture looks identical and the photos look exactly the same. Names are also extremely similar only off by a couple of letters. Karlstad and karlanda caused a lot of confusion and a hefty restocking fee for me. when I spoke with someone about the photos being so similar they said they would follow up with their website designer but that I still was out of luck. I did end up getting the cover because I held out hope. It is good quality. Just don’t expect them to get everything right. I paid for two wireless phone charger pockets and was shipped a cover with only one. They refunded me the $40 but I paid $700 for a cover that isn’t how I wanted it.

I have hated the blocky legs of my Karlstad since the day I bought it (six years ago) and finally bit the bullet and ordered new legs. I was so excited when my Comfort Works package arrived, tore the box open to find... some very red legs. Love the shape, hate the color. Be warned that the cherry legs are very, very RED. If I had a do-over, I would go with Uncle Bob's, which cost a little less and offer a ton more options on type of wood and stain color. Now I'm out $90 and looking at RED sofa legs.

Hi JiaYing, thanks for your feedback and really sorry to hear about your recent purchase experience. With our bailey sofa legs they are actually quite red in real-life, and we do try our utmost best to reflect it in our product photography. We understand that Uncle Bob have more options in terms of staining and can possibly provide you with something you'd be happier with. As such, we can definitely arrange for a full product refund if you'd like to ship the item back to us -- or you can opt for an exchange if you think you'd prefer a lighter, natural wood colour and stain them to your preference even. Hope to hear from you soon! - Chuck
