I set out the requirements to them asking for a quote to buy an HP 200 series printer with two trays and b/w , copy and scan to replace an existing HP specs provided and they were ignored .
The HP is a small printer that can be placed on a desk.
I received proposals for Canon 4 plus tray multifunction standing computer/copier centres for leasing.
I was also asked to support/join a campaign to fight hunger .
I suppose using a charity to promote your business is quite the modern "woke" thing.
But I just wanted a quote to replace an HP desk printer.
Don't waste your time with this site.
But I shouldn't have been surprised it being an internet promotion.”
We are sorry for this unsatisfactory user experience with our service. We’d like to make clear our service is not an ‘internet promotion’. Since 2010, we have been helping businesses get quotes for commercial/business-grade printers & copiers as an independent comparison quote service.
This particular customer asked for quotes for some very cheap consumer-grade HP printers for which pricing can be obtained online easily without needing a service like ours. We make it clear on our site our service is for commercial-grade devices that start at a much higher price point. However, to try and help him out, we still submitted his request hoping one of our suppliers could help with some low-cost printers. In hindsight, unfortunately, we shouldn’t have, as our supplier who quoted got it wrong. We will discuss this with them. We are also not associated with any charities. Whatever charity was promoted by the supplier is not in our control.
We are sorry to hear no one provided quotes. We can see at least two suppliers responded to your quote request. We will follow up with them to see why they did not send you quotes.

Perhaps it was not clear enough our suppliers only quote business-grade copiers & printers, which start at a higher price point than cheaper consumer grade printers, which may be what you were looking for. In any case, thank you for using CopierChoice.

For full clarity, our site does not offer comparisons on specific printers and which may be the best one to purchase. However, this is something we plan to implement in our site soon.
What we do offer is an independent quote request service and I can see that 4 suppliers have responded to your request. We would not call this being ‘inundated’ but can appreciate such a response if you weren’t actually looking for quotes in the first place.
Suppliers are only going to promote their brand and models, not do a comparison with their competitor brands.
