Hi I bought a 65 inch TV when arrived it had multiple deep scratches in the screen,no plug,no remote,no stand. I complained instantly over the Christmas period, the company deliberately changed the description on their website from A grade to A- after I bought the TV luckily I had taken a screen shot of the website at the time of purchase. This company needs investigating they deliberately sell seconds tv and make false claims they are perfect. Perhaps watchdog need or rip off Britain need to investigate the company and its practices. I bought a 65" tv from this Company and when delivered it was damaged. The damage cannot be seen when the tv is switched off. I reported the damage the next day. They are now saying that I damaged the tv when I moved house. I happen to say to the dopey driver that I was moving house. Damaged reported 1st June, moved house 25th July. Read the following to see what morons run this Company. Started legal proceedings which is relatively easy if you go through the small claims court (Money Claim Online (MCOL). Do not deal with this Company. Oh also called BuyTVDirect. FACT. I received the tv 31st May 2018. I opened the box and checked the contents in front of the driver, everything was complete. for which I signed for. I did not sign that the tv was in good working good. FACT. I powered up the tv on 1st June 2018. This was not in front of the driver. I discovered a thick black line running down the side of the screen. You can only see this when powered up. I took two photos of the screen and emailed the same day as per DC Digital's T&Cs. The two photos I sent have the date and location (delivery address) in the file information settings. I have since been told that the crystals underneath the glass screen were cracked and cannot be seen by a quick visible inspection. This information was from a competitor. FACT. DC Digital offered me a replacement (I do have the email from them dated 14th June.). FACT. Driver turned up on 22nd June to collect without a replacement. I was at work but tried to arrange to be home around 5.30pm. The driver spoke to my neighbour and asked if my neighbour had a key to gain access to my house without me being present so that he could collect the tv. He saw the tv in the hallway of my house whilst speaking to my neighbour. FACT. I moved house on Wednesday 25th July 2018. ASSUMPTION. That DC Digital say that I moved the tv to my new house and damaged it in the process. I rest my case. Please look at the dates of this situation and draw your own conclusions to the followers of this review.

Customer service nigh on non existent - a real problem if you are due a refund! If you must buy from Buy TV Direct, as they are now called, pay by credit card so you're protected.

PART 1 OF DETAILED REVIEW OF DCDIGITAL: Paid for Samsung Note 8 on 03/02 which was supposed to arrive by 13/02. It didn't. Cancelled order on 19/02 and on 16/03 finally got paid back- 6 WEEKS LATER!!! 03/02: Ordered Note 8 and was supposed to arrive 13/2…but it never did. My Samsung Galaxy Note 8 was supposed to arrive 13/2 but I got an email the day before saying I will DEFINITELY get it by 15/2 at the very latest. Told to look out for tracking number in emails and STILL no email or tracking number. UPDATE 12/02: Have been in the phone queue since 11 am and no answer. I don't think this is going to be a good experience for me. Then I got through after all day trying-at 2.10 pm and spoke to Samuel. He told me there were 30 batches going out via royal mail that afternoon and I'd get the tracking number by the end of the day-then no, "any minute now." All I had to do was log in to my email and the tracking number would be there in minutes. UPDATE 12/02: Now, after they emailed me telling me the phone had left their warehouse and was on its way it seems to have REALLY left the warehouse and REALLY being on the way. Suffice to say, there was no email and STILL no tracking number. I am to wait until tomorrow for Royal Mail to deliver it-if they even ring my bell, that is-or if it has actually gone out even. I wonder why DC Digital can get things so wrong, so often. I mean, some people might even suspect they liked to tell stories and make up fairy tales for some reason. Will update when there is something to report but I do see how many disputes there are with people and how DC Digital seem obsessed with disputing the numerous bad reviews but doing nothing to make customers happy. UPDATE 19/02: called on 19/02 and after being told there was no tracking number hence no phone had even been sent and with just a promise of one being sent to be with me by the weekend I called it all off and cancelled my order. I am now awaiting the accounts to clear my refund back to my account and will update you when this happens. Shame they seem so disorganised. But to me they simply wasted a fortnight of my life when I could have been enjoying my phone from them and not have had to get it elsewhere. UPDATE 06/03 1: Told on 19/02 I'd be refunded my significant outlay within 14 days i.e. BY 05/03. It is now 06/03 and 15 days onwards and still no refund. It is 1 day beyond the 14 day maximum allowed under consumer law. Emailed Matt so hopefully should have the refund sorted out very soon today. Will update when I have news. UPDATE 06/03 2: This afternoon I contacted my bank and STILL NO REFUND! I emailed on DC Digital website to ask them to contact me and sort out my refund AND called and spoke to Ryan who said he'd log my problem and ask for me to get a telephone call back after 4 pm today. Will update later. UPDATE 06/03 3: It is now 5.15 pm and they have closed and I have had no email and no phone call. That is now rude so they get the worst rating. UPDATE 06/03 4: I received an email from my earlier call to Ryan but no response from the DC Digital website contact form or a phone call. The email stated a note had been added to my order and to respond to the email to say what my issue was (although I'd already stated that on the contact form and to Ryan on the telephone call to him!) and I'd get an email response after they received it. I did so and now am waiting for a reply-and my refund! UPDATE 07/03 1: A note was added to my order by Matt who emailed me stating refunds were usually processed within 14 days and this was highly unusual mine was not. He said he'd passed my situation to the accounts team and would ensure my refund was processed ASAP and would keep me updated via email. UPDATE 07/03 2: Came to see what was happening on DC Digital TrustPilot reviews and found my review had been greyed out and the words above it stating: "DC Digital Entertainment Ltd reported this review for breach of TrustPilot guidelines. We are currently assessing the review in accordance with our reporting processes." This was reported by DC Digital 36 hours ago and it is now 00.16 am on 08/03 so reported about 12.05 pm on 06/03, just after I emailed Matt. Coincidence, perhaps. UPDATE 09/03: STILL no refund. 18 days now! Called and spoke to Marco who said they were just producing a cheque to send to me but I told him the law states that refunds must be given in the same manner of payment i.e. I paid by instant bank transfer so they should refund me the same way. Marco said he'd call me back but I was not happy with that and told him I'd hold and he could arrange a bank transfer while I waited. In a few minutes he came back on the line and told me they were only able to post a cheque and there was no way around it. I questioned that and he said they had a business account and that was all they were able to use. That is nonsense. Amazon and every other business refund either by bank transfer, cash (if you are in store and paid by cash) or refund your credit card if you paid by any of those methods. He told me they'd actually send the cheque Special Delivery Guaranteed Next Day Before 1pm. I said that was OK as I just wanted my refund. I told Marco that I was getting a bit anxious that it had taken 4 days beyond the 14 day legal maximum and he was apologetic that accounts had not processed the refund and so late. I told him I knew DC Digital were not thieves and they would not all lose their jobs for ripping off a few hundred quid from a few people. Marco told me the MD had guaranteed the postage and the cheque was being written and going to be posted that afternoon. I thanked him and hoped all would be concluded tomorrow, even though it would still take 4 business days bank clearance time before my money was back with me. As I am running out of TrustPilot's allocation of page space to write a review I have to wait 24 hours to update and finally conclude. As I have not had my refund and DC Digital have insisted I must receive my refund in breach of the law (see Consumer Rights Act 2015) by a business cheque, not the original form of payment I made being by a direct bank transfer, I must write a secondary review detailing that experience of DC Digital Entertainment Ltd's further level of service (as per TrustPilot guidelines.) However, from prior experience, I fully expect (both reviews) will be tagged with the words: "DC Digital Entertainment Ltd reported this review for breach of TrustPilot guidelines. We are currently assessing the review in accordance with our reporting processes." PART 2 OF MY REVIEW IS POSTED DIRECTLY BELOW THIS REVIEW UPDATE 10/03: This morning at 11 am I had the cheque arrive-coincidentally also with my new Note 8 from SmartTech Store at Amazon. It was £200 dearer than the Note 8 DC Digital offered but it was in a sealed box and brand new and in immaculate condition. Not a Note 8 that has been returned to Samsung after 30 days as being no longer wanted by EE, Virgin and Vodafone etc. customers. And what they have been treated like one can only imagine. See at the end of this Review for how they ALL get their outlay back by selling on to you via DC Digital and other "grey goods traders." UPDATE 12/03: Could finally take the cheque to my bank (no more paying in envelopes at cash machines) and 4 days later (Friday 16/03) it finally cleared. It took 24 days from when I cancelled my order and emailed the accepted request form, duly signed, to when I actually obtained my refund. The law states refunds are to be PAID WITHIN 14 DAYS and that is not for a cheque to arrive 5 days beyond that and payment to actually be made 24 days later. DC Digital drove a horse and cart and a combine harvester through the Distance Selling Regulations of the Consumer Rights Act 2015. YOUR RIGHTS AND DC Digital's OBLIGATIONS TO YOU: If DC Digital sorted themselves out and sent items as promised, in the condition expected (not smashed, missing remotes, manual, screws, bases or scratched or just not working at all) they'd be like every other reputable electronic goods retailer. But they don't. You only have to look at the many other peoples' feedback to see the numerous complaints and rage at people being "sold a lemon." It is almost impossible, short of grabbing the delivery driver by the throat, to make them stay there while you unpack a 50 inch TV and set it up then look at the screen and ensure it fully works. The driver would have to sit down and have a few cuppas, a nap and some sandwiches for that to truly happen. But my advice is to not sign the electronic pad or paperwork UNTIL you have fully checked the items delivered as not being broken or damaged. Then you can sign and PRINT "NOT YET CHECKED AS WORKING" on it. The driver can't erase that. You also have the Distance Selling Regulations of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 to rely on. This allows you 14 days from the receipt of goods i.e. from when first seen and received, not sent out, to make up your mind you are satisfied with the item supplied. If within that period you realise you did not receive what you were told you were buying i.e. you got A BROKEN TV or damaged goods or goods that did not work properly, were damaged and NOT in the described or implied condition expected, then you should get your money back. The cost of the return is down to DC Digital, not you, if you were not the cause of these damaged goods being sent out to yourself! If you read the DC Digital website (about A Grade goods etc.) you'd realise everyone would expect they were getting such described goods. If you do not, you can arrange with DC Digital to send it back free of charge to you and obtain a full refund WITHIN 14 DAYS. It is for DC Digital to supply what they are supposed to, not you to ensure they have done so and hold the delivery driver captive until you are happy. If it broke down an hour after he left or within the warranty period stated you can either have it refunded (within 3/6 months if I am correct) or after 6 months repaired at your home or at a repair centre and have a suitable replacement in the interim. Most shops just send a new or refurbished exact replacement. Or, if within 14 days of receipt you realise it is not as good as described i.e. the picture was bad or the sound awful and that you are not satisfied with the quality you were expecting you still can send it back for a full refund. If there is any nonsense about you being a business as you said you were when you ordered it (such as you being a plumber etc.) that will not be a get out clause for DC Digital to not treat you as a consumer thus protected by the Distance Selling Regulations of the Consumer Rights Act 2015. It is you acting as a consumer when you bought the goods DC Digital sell, not acting as an equally empowered partner in a business to business transaction. You are not expected to be equally experienced and capable and in a similar line of business thus an expert in dealing with DC Digital. They have used that nonsense excuse to dupe people before in some of the reviews I have read. Why is that clause on their website order pages? It must only be there intentionally as a trap for the unwary and yet again a breach of The Consumer Rights Act 2015. But not a clever one and one a Judge would certainly frown upon and likely dismiss as such. FINAL CONCLUSION: I give my candid, measured advice to any person who reads my review: Don't waste your effort, energy and negate the chance of your stress level going into overdrive dealing with this company. They are not thieves as in fraudsters and scammers but they are not averse to duping and taking advantage of customers. They are also not averse to sending out barely checked items when busy and packing things in the wrong cartons so they get smashed. Did you wonder why they offer a 10% discount for a bank transfer instead of a credit card payment? It's so they don't have any hassle with the credit card companies who would get so many requests from irate cardholders to refund the cash back after a miserable experience with DC Digital that the credit card companies would shut down their account completely. DC Digital would then be officially labelled an untrustworthy and disreputable trader and before long they'd be out of business. I will never, ever, ever send money by bank transfer like that again to anyone other than Amazon or Argos or Currys etc. If I'd have used my credit card and paid £100 or more my credit card company would have been responsible, if DC Digital refused, to refund me themselves. No credit card company would tolerate being ripped off and they'd shut their account with DC Digital down on the spot and never deal with them again. DC Digital would then shut down. Sad to have to write all this but I want to warn all others who read this and the other reviewers' write ups. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE ACTUALLY SELLING SECOND HAND ITEMS (SEE REVIEWS). Better to spend a bit more and get a guaranteed new item than throw your money away and get a degraded item that should be recycled by the manufacturers-it is just not a viable proposition for them when DC Digital and other "grey goods traders" will buy it for 1/3 price and sell it to you 1/3 more and make a profit. UPDATE 19/03: As expected, this review was reported by DC Digital, just as my Part 1 Review was. But my Part 1 Review, like perhaps EVERY single one of the others DC Digital report, was eventually reinstated as being quite within the guidelines and TrustPilot's rules. The words greying Part 2 out (just so that DC Digital can have a few days to let my review go down the pages) is: "DC Digital Entertainment Ltd reported this review for breach of TrustPilot guidelines. We are currently assessing the review in accordance with our reporting processes." I posted this review at 03.05 pm and DCDigital quickly reported it so it became greyed out, thus invisible to readers, at 03.45 pm-just 40 minutes later! They were very upset by this second review, as they were by the first. See ALL the many greyed out reviews with the same words under them: "DC Digital Entertainment Ltd reported this review for breach of TrustPilot guidelines. We are currently assessing the review in accordance with our reporting processes." UPDATE 21/03 #1: Came back and TrustPilot obviously saw both my reviews were perfectly acceptable and posted them back up. I see also that the latest posters have had their negative reviews of DC Digital greyed out and reported by DC Digital. No surprise-again! I also note that the positive reviews of DC Digital are never reported by DC Digital and oddly come from people with just 1 review posted and that single review heaping praise on DC Digital. Do you believe they are genuine when DC Digital could, if they wished, give a fake customer order number and get a gmail email account to post their own reviews? Could this be "fake reviews" rather than "fake news?" UPDATE 21/03 #2: 5.45 pm I got a call from Dominic at DC Digital. He said he'd been monitoring my updates and it is harassment and they are thinking of taking legal action against me! I have not given DC Digital permission to call me and this is against the Data Protection Act and the Information Commissioners Office Regulations. It is also a breach of the Human Rights Act 1998 Article 8 which protects everyone's right to respect for your private life, your family life, your home and your correspondence (letters, telephone calls and emails, for example). I told him never to call me again threatening me and as I have made it clear I do not wish to receive such calls and my mobile number is listed in the Telephone Preference Service register it is illegal for anyone from DC Digital to call me. He called me back 4 more times. I have had my mobile number registered with the TPS for about 10 years. My reply to DC Digital: THREATEN ME AGAIN. GO ON! Do you think Argos, Amazon or anyone else would do that unless they were regularly being lambasted for horrendous service and dismally poor and/or broken goods? Answer: they'd not be as big as they are if they did so. They'd soon be bankrupt, as I am sure DC Digital will eventually become. Caveat Emptor-BUYER BEWARE!!!! Then I wrote a review about TrustPilot's lack of action on TrustPilot's website: Reviewed DC Digital Entertainment Ltd's behaviour and TrustPilot letting DC Digital get away with flagrant mis-reporting and abuse of the website and customers proper reviews. I reviewed DC Digital Entertainment Ltd on TrustPilot and every time my review was reported to TrustPilot by DC Digital-just as they do with everyone else who writes a bad review about them. TrustPilot take the bad reviews down automatically-no questions asked until much later. And even after 3 reposts by TrustPilot as they saw nothing wrong with my reviews-and DC Digital STILL reporting them as soon as they go up-nothing is happening. TrustPilot just automatically greys the review out so DC Digital don't look bad and the bad review is then invisible. DC Digital obviously check TrustPilot regularly as often a bad review is reported within the hour it goes live. I made a complaint to TrustPilot about threats Dominic Colombo from DC Digital made to me about taking me to court and obtaining compensation and solicitors costs. He did this via 5 phone calls and by emails too. He said it would be an action for "harassment" (you can't "harass" an entity as harassment damages are awarded only for psychological harm, fear induced and loss of confidence etc.) in that I gave them bad reviews on TrustPilot. How would that work out in court, do you think? But 8 days after I sent all the emails and my reviews directly to TrustPilot Compliance Department and after chatting online with a woman there this afternoon (who put (!) in replies to me as though I was bothersome) I have STILL not heard a word from TrustPilot and my reviews were STILL greyed out! I have now resorted to direct action by deleting both my reported (but perfectly acceptable and previously accepted reviews) then reposted the first one again (TrustPilot only allow one post per company and/or per separate level of service experience in any 24 hour period.) Tomorrow I will post the second. And on and on until TrustPilot do something about DC Digital's blasé attitude to bad news and suppressing it by false reporting to TrustPilot. TrustPilot-you will crash and burn if you let companies behave like this with honest people's proper and polite reviews being smothered. Reviewers will obviously get annoyed, lose heart and will no longer post. UPDATE: DC Digital obviously get review notices sent to their mobile number or email as my re-posted review was greyed out and reported by DC Digital Entertainment Ltd just 25 minutes after it went live! I wonder how long it will take TrustPilot to actually take action.
