Long story short, it's been a hassle for Dell to fix my computer that's under Warranty and under a year old. Basically calling Me a liar. They fixed one issue and created another one. They replaced my new perfect lcd screen with an lcd screen that is a metallic reflective color. They won't change it to my original lcd screen. Calling me a liar and saying it is my original screen when it is not. It's their replacement lcd screen. My lcd screen was perfect. They act like it's a $3,000 computer. I just want my computer back.

Real piece of garbage. I have had the laptop for a year and it has had problems with crashing from the time I got it. Still has issues and the service contract expires tomorrow. They will not extend the contract for free and they won't give me my money back. If I have been having problems since day 1, then it follows that I will continue to have problems. You sold me a piece of garbage and now you won't continue your lame attempts to fix it. Dell sells garbage including alienware. They have tech support, sales, and return support for those that bought within 30 days, but no customer support.

Few weeks back I noticed that my touch screen not working, and I contacted Dell and spoke to Basit Malik when I noticed a little crack (barely visible) on the right hand of the screen. I also had issues for months with Bluetooth not working properly. It keeps disconnecting and freezing. It also keeps disconnecting all the devices I connect via Bluetooth. There was also performance issue as my internet was slow. They told I had to pay £310 for repair although my laptop had less than a year. I am still in the one-year warranty. They tried to ask me questions and they kept saying did you drop and things like that and try to make it sound like an accident instead of it being fit for purpose. I contacted them 10 days later regarding the performance and the Bluetooth and I spoke Manasa Manjari she said she led me through trouble shooting and said would book an onsite engineer to come and fix my Bluetooth today the 20th of September which I took as annual leave to be able to be home. I waited all morning there was no engineer, no text, and no email from Dell, so I called again Dell and this time spoke to Soloman. He said there was no engineer booked and instead of booking it he put me through a whole 2 hours of trouble shooting it felt like having a course of IT. Not only waisted a day of Annual leave and on top of that stayed 2 hours on the phone. Then Soloman said he would put me to a manager which he did his name was Soughan. Instead of sorting the problem he said the same I must pay £310 for the screen and said there was no problem with the performance, and he offered to book another appointment for an onsite visit to repair the Bluetooth. When I complained through resolver this is the answer I received from Mr Prateek P Nayak "I am a part of Advanced Resolution Group and we represent the Dell corporate office for UK & Ireland. We are the single point of contact for any concerns or complaints raised to our executives in this matter. We would like to inform you that, we will be unable to escalate this case to any other department in this matter. If you choose to accept our resolution of payable services, please reply to this email and we will make the necessary arrangements accordingly. Our resolution offered in this matter would remain constant and will be our final stance from Dell. Signed Mr Prateek P Nayak. And every time I write a reply it is always Mr Prateek P Nayak who answers within 5 mns with a negative reply. It seems like he is taking personnel and he is sitting on his desk waiting for messages from to answer them.

Purchased a Dell brand new laptop for my wife, the machine arrived and when I went to switch on Nothing happened!.. Tried as per advise from the a Dell Technical support in India, Pakistan, and still Nothing.. I had No option on the Dell order to request a return!. Then the fun begins, I was informed that I was NOT allowed to return as apparently purchase through Dell Business website!.. What a load of rubbish, I spoke to my team of Solicitors and they informed my Dell is breaking the Law advising customers this, but also if they advertise this also in the small print.. I have fought with clear incompetent staff for days and now the rubbish laptop is being collected on the 12/09/23, but I have to then wait 10 to 15 working days to get my hard earned money back. Dell are a complete Shambles, the service is at the lowest I have ever had to put up with and Now going to Take this company down the Legal route for stress, selling faulty goods, and stating NO returns when it's illegal to do so!..

Thinking of buying a DELL computer ??? Think again! We bought one (Inspirion lsptop) less than 2 years ago. We also bought an extended warranty… thank goodness. In less than six months the the machine totally stopped working! We needed to have the motherboard replaced. Now, last Sunday the computer would not find/connect with the wireless internet connection in our home. We called tech service and the problem could not be resolved on the phone. The tech told us that the LAN card needed to be replaced. He opened a repair ticket and we were told we would be contacted by email for a home repair appointment. We received an email that indicated that the appointment would be on Tuesday. (Note: we had no input as to date or time) My wife took time off so she could be home for the appointment. This was to no avail BECAUSE DELL CANCELLED the appointment. We were then told that the appointment would be first thing Wednesday morning (Note: we again had no input as to date or time). My wife took another day off to be home for the appointment. I personally called and confirmed the appointment on Tuesday evening. I also indicated that any call’s should go to my wife’s number in that I would be working out of state. A tech called MY NUMBER and left a message that he had the part would be coming to our home to make the repair. I called and left him a message to call my wife snd go to our house any time to make the repair. Neither my wife nor I received a call … I then called DELL to discuss the lack of response. I then received a call from the tech’s supervisor who told me THERE WOULD BE NO APPOINTMENT TODAY THE PART IS BACK ORDERED THE TECH DID NOT HAVE IT I told him the tech has called and said he did have the part!!!! Talk about confusion and lack of communication ! The supervisor said he would contact the tech then get back to me … they stepped up and rearranged schedules to be sure the repair was made Wednesday afternoon … remember this entire mess started on Sunday ! 4 days to replace a LAN card … In summary … if you are looking for dependable product performance, efficient service and reliable communicating … LOOK ANYWHERE BUT DELL … Feel free to contact me to discuss anytime Dr John Metallo 518.577.7530 Johngmetallo@live.com

Have numerous Dells and many have the same issue....the charging port only works for a short period of time. Of course, Dell never covers it under warranty because it can't be the fault of the manufacturer who built/designed this unit. Has to be misuse of the machine........if it was always the same user, I could see it. But when it is multiple users and one of the units was mine and I know how it was taken care of........I will neve buy a Dell laptop again for our business. You guys have the worst customer service.

It's the proprietary software and greed for your money that is the problem! I have not had a hardware problem, but have had severe problems working with the software. They have a Microsoft operating system that is also very greedy and won't let me do what I want to do. 1. I like to use Firefox browser, but it constantly tries to make me use Microsoft Edge as the default browser. 2. I like to use the free Libre Office Suite, but it constantly tries to make me pay for Microsoft Office . In fact, it often disables Libre Office. 3. The apps that I want to download are from the Goggle store, but it tries to make me use the Microsoft Store. It won't even let me download the Goggle Store. It is not compatible. 4. When I do download an app, I want them to appear together with the other apps. The set up favors the MIcrosoft Apps and the Dell Apps. It is hard to find other downloaded apps. CONCLUSION: THIS COMPUTER SETUP IS NOT VERY USABLE. i DO NOT RECOMMEND DELL DESKTOP COMPUTERS FOR THESE REASONS.

This is best told as a short story- In the late summer of 2018 myself and another tech rep were in California at a chemical plant. After just 1 1/2 weeks our rental car was broken into and computers stolen! The plant offered to replace my machine and asked me to tell them what I wanted. Not having much access to the outside world at the time but having recently reviewed some Dell ads for the XLS I told them a Dell XPS-15 as It looked like it would be what I needed (a nice large high res screen and good overall specs), this was a big mistake. As I needed to multi-boot (which I have done on my self-assembled office machine) I later found out that the I5 Intel chip and likely the BIOS itself prevented me from loading a second op system (incomplete and deceptive specs.) At that point the computer was useless to me (this was after numerous call to marginal tech support where this was finally revealed.) The reason for the need to multi-boot was that a necessary piece of expensive software will not load in Windows 10 (thanks, Microsoft) and I needed to install Win7 to run it. Also, the stolen machine was a Toshiba that had a switch on the side that would turn Wi-Fi on/off so I was comfortable with Win 7, not so with all the newer machines (I guess spying on the users is more important ?). This can't be just to save $5.00 on a switch. This is not to mention the average 30 min boot-up time! I recently wiped the machine and re-installed from the start-up menu (safe mode) and voila the boot time is now much shorter and closer to what one would expect, this took over 6 hours to accomplish. It seems that pre-shipment factory checks are non-existent. I also experienced several apparent hard drive failures, but it wasn't the drive, it was the SATA connector. The ultra-short "cable" put a side force on the drive end. This happened three times but not since I don't travel with it anymore. Last but not least, about 2 months after the hardware warranty expired the leftmost hinge failed (most mfgrs fixed these problems around the mid-aughts). The only thing I use this Expensive computer for now is Zoom Chair Yoga every Thursday.

I have had computers since 1966. Dell inspiron small computer is the very worst I have ever encountered. Oh, what a mistake I made to buy one. Switch on - call up emails - half an hour later I get screen of emails - still can't read them - another twenty minutes before access. I frequently call up files - looooong wait before any response. In the middle of work - the computer freezes - nothing responds - have to switch off and start again. Another time click on an icon - no response , nothing responds - Switch off start again. Frequent screen freeze. OH!! In the middle of writing this review the screen froze and clicking brought up a random file - not asked for. How Dell can put such an utterly inferior computer on sale I fail to comprehend.

Try leaving a review on their website. It won't work. They know what kind of product they sell and what kind of service they offer. A $1300 laptop failed just after the warranty expired and the huge time waste associated with four different customer service options was completely useless. This company does not care. Avoid them like the plague! I will never do business with Dell again.

Ordered a laptop for delivery to a military base. Even after assuring me that the order would be sent via USPS, it was sent via Fedex. It was returned to sender (Fedex does not deliver to APO addresses). Dell did not bother to contact me to tell me the computer had returned to them. Dell offered to send out another laptop, but could not provide a tracking number. After 10 weeks, I tried to follow up with them. The website directs you away from any contact number or e-mail address. The robo-receptionist hangs up on you or connects you to closed offices. Finally got through to a call center in India or Pakistan by faking a computer problem, and the good people there transferred me to a compotent agent. They offered to send out another replacement. It's been 90 days since my initial order. I still do not have my $1,300 laptop.

Extremely Dissatisfied with Dell G-15 Laptop and Service. I purchased the Dell G-15 laptop with high hopes, but my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. Despite being under warranty, the power issue persisted even after four service attempts. Dell's inability to resolve this problem has left me frustrated and extremely dissatisfied. I expected better quality and support from such a renowned brand. Stay away from the Dell G-15 and their service if you value your time and money.

Buyer Beware! Negative (Less than Zero) Rating due to Poor Order Logistics and Worst Customer Service Ever Experienced. Ordered two APC UPS Systems from Dell on 03/05/2023. Ten days later FedEx Tracking reflected UPS Systems had not left origin facility while Dell's system reflected they had shipped. After repeated attempts to speak with someone at Dell unsuccessfully, I was finally able to talk to a Dell Small Business Representative. Upon reviewing my order, the Dell Representative could not provide any specifics about the order status, whether products had shipped or an ETA of shipment arriving. At this point I canceled the order at which time the Dell Representative assured me that the order had been cancelled and that I would see a credit to the credit card used at time of purchase within 5 to 7 days. After 10 days and repeated failed attempts to receive a response from the Dell Representative and anyone else at Dell Customer Service there was no credit to my account. Dell's Customer Service for all practical purposes appears not to exist as their telephone call routing process is designed to avoid the customer not correct problems. As a customer I was left with no choice but to file a Compliant with my State Attorney General's Office. After six weeks Dell finally acknowledged the complaint. The supposed special Customer Service Representative who was assigned to the case was lacking any real interpersonal or business skills and was very poor at providing any timely and effective information, but was very astute at wanting to close the case. Dell finally did issue a Credit Memo; however, as of today, 06/27/2023 I have yet to receive a credit to my account. At this point I have disputed the charge with my Credit Card Issuing Bank. Fortunate for me the Issuing Bank provides good Customer Service and will correct the issue with my account. After nearly 4 months Dell has still not corrected their mistakes. Dell can now deal with the State Attorney General’s Office and my Credit Issuing Bank and I can purchase my two APC UPS systems elsewhere from a vendor that can actually deliver. In a free enterprise market competition is healthy and consumers have a choice. In the future I will be choosing a company other than Dell for my technology purchases. If you choose to do business with Dell, be sure to use a form of payment that can be disputed and file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office. Consumers do have protection and tools at their disposal when being treated unethically or illegally but must take the due diligence to resolve.

Have purchased dells for 35 years. Finally need to use service contracts that I have paid thousands for over the years. They set up a meeting time/place for tech to arrive and I stayed home for the day. Tech no show. Called at end of day and said they need to show tomorrow - agreed on 1130am. No show. Called to reschedule and I said no thanks. They said they could come now but forgot parts. Called dell and told them I needed a different tech. Battery not charging, they sent battery, no instructions, no comm, no call. I researched and installed myself, no fix. They sent battery charge cord, no fix. I called them and they said the parts were not even in until yesterday. I asked why I took 3 days off of work if the first tech didn't even have the parts. I asked for a refund on my service contract plus interest for value of the money today. Person on phone said they would check into it and call me if they needed something. I asked when I would receive contact regarding the refund. He said he didn't know that I even would because it's a whole different department. I guess a 35 years purchaser of personal and business computers for multiple businesses is no longer important to them. I will never buy a dell computer again.

Bought a gaming laptop in 2021. Dell Update, a program bundled with Dell laptops, showed there was a BIOS update issued by Dell. I downloaded the update and restarted my computer. The BIOS update errored out, then the screen went black. There is no display and no external monitor works on it now. I paid $39 to send it to Dell Tech Support to have it fixed, telling them that their own recommended BIOS update messed up my laptop. They gave me a repair quote for $209 (!!!) to have the laptop screen replaced. I rejected the repair and asked them to send it back. They sent me FIVE more emails telling me to "Pay Now" to have my laptop fixed. They kept my laptop for 3 weeks, then sent it back to me without fixing it. The total turnaround time was 29 days from starting the repair to receiving my laptop back, AND I spent $39 just to have them look at it. The BIOS update was from Dell! I posted about this on the Dell reddit, and a dozen other users experienced the same problem. I would give Dell ZERO stars if I could.
