Just received my plates, and they had your company logon's on them. It should have stated on the preview if you wish to state your company logo, very disappointed, will be asking for refund. Misold advertising.

Demon Plates make legal number plates. The markings you refer to are required by law and you do not get to choose whether your plates display these markings or not. Re our FAQ, all plates supplied by Demon Plates carry the very small markings as required by law. Without these markings your plates are illegal and we would be breaking the law.

Sir, The markings you refer to are a legal requirement. You or we do not get to choose ….. it has to be on there. If you need clarification on this matter then please do contact the DVLA and I am sure they will be happy to confirm what we have already advised. Furthermore, this matter is covered in our FAQ page where we clearly state that the legally required markings will be included on the plate/s. Regards Demon Plates

Plates looked OK on arrival but my rear square plate was bent and the adhesives supplied weren't strong enough to stop it popping off the vehicle , contacted supplier and despite photos they didn't feel there was an issue? So could not recommend Demon Plates at all. Surely a Company is only as good as it is by handling polite complaints properly? This wasn't handled in the way it should have been for a faulty item :-(

Plates broke whilst drilling holes to hold the number plate in place (even when following online instruction). Never had this problem before with other plates. Notice that the acrylic is slightly thinner which may have been the problem. Wish this would have worked out as the plates originally looked good. Now out of pocket and stuck with cracked plates that I can't use. Sadly disappointed.

Hi there Sorry to hear that you broke your number plate whilst drilling it. We have a fitting video online and that video shows us drilling and fitting a number plate without any problems. A link to this video is marked on the front of the plates when you receive them. As you'll see form all the reviews on here .... very very few people break their plates while drilling which means that your broken plate is down to the drilling / fitting and not the product. You could also have fitted the plates using sticky pads .... no drilling would have then been required. Thanks Demon Plates

Hello there. Re your complaint of the logo at the plate bottom. By default our plates show 'Demon Plates' text at the bottom of each plate. When you design your plates on our plate builder you have the ability to remove the 'Demon Plates' text from the plates. You did not remove this text (which is easily done) and as such you received exactly what you saw on the screen when placing your order. As for your complaint re the shape / size of the Range Rover Sport plate. This is not a complaint we have heard previously and we have made a great many of those plates. I can only think that you have made a mistake here also. Here is my phone number > 0161 343 7053. You have not called us with your concerns but instead have gone straight to posting on this Reviews site. If you wish to discuss your concerns with me then you are more than welcome to call me so that we can clarify these issues. Gary Demon Plates http://www.demonplates.com

I ordered up replacement plates for my Jaguar XF with a shaped rear plate. The rear plate supplied (580 x 170) was smaller than the one it was to replace (635 x 175). Called Demon Plates who told me the larger size was unsuitable for a Jaguar XF - as this was size already on the vehicle this was clearly an incorrect statement. This issue could easily have been avoided had Demon said that shaped plates were available in different sizes at which time I would have measured the existing plate and advised them accordingly. I emailed back and said I was not going to get into a prolonged argument over £30 or thereabouts and that I would simply re-order a legal plate for the dimensions required elsewhere which I got online via Plates for Cars.

You sir are an out and out liar. You're the fella that couldn't be bothered to measure your plate before ordering and as such ended up with a plate you did not want after ordering via our web site. Then like a big baby you bawled and stamped your feet in the hope of getting a free replacement. When we're wrong we hold our hands up and fix any issues we are responsible for. When you're wrong ..... like you are, then you can cry all you want but you will not get your own way. Leaving us a bad review .......... utterly pathetic and from what I recall of our conversation, typical of you! Look at all the other reviews on this site ..... that is who we are and not what you describe.

After Clicking accept on the order Demon Plates then requests that you email over documents including V5 and Address conformation. This is on the homepage and in there terms, but if like me you sometimes miss these thing this is very annoying. If they had put this form up PRIOR to accepting the order I would not have proceeded. I called the office and spoke to someone within 2 minutes of placing the order and she has advised they would NOT cancel the order, even though it has clearly not be made yet. Distance selling normally allows you to cancel an order within 7 days but as they are Custom plates they stated they are exempt from this. I am raising this with our FSB legal service as I feel the requirements for documentation were not clearly advised before I accepted the order. I will update the review as soon as I have more information on this. I was asked to email (the boss) for a refund and am still awaiting a reply.

Mr Pettitt The requirement for your ID and a valid DVLA number plate verification document is made clear to you on both our homepage and also the terms which you accept prior to placing an order. Our terms are also very clear in pointing out to you that should you proceed and place an order, you would not be able to cancel the order having done so. We are a reputable company who sell number plates both on the web and from our facility in Manchester. We are a registered number plate supplier and we always conform with the legal obligations required of us by the DVLA. Unfortunately you do not seem to think that these laws apply to you but they do apply to us and we do implement them ..... without exception. Under the Distance Selling Regs you claim to have 7 days to cancel your order. This is true in most circumstances but when the goods are bespoke (as ours are) you have no rights to cancel the order be it one minute or one day after placing the order. We are sorry to have to take this position in this matter but your very demanding, threatening and rude nature on the telephone to me and my staff leaves us with no option but to hold you to our terms. We do not like to have a bad review but we're happy in the knowledge that we are reputable and our reviews on this website are testament to that fact. Your order is made up awaiting despatch on receipt of your ID and number plate verification document. I am sure that your time could have been much better spent simply complying rather than kicking up a fuss and demanding your own way. Gary Demon Plates

I ordered two new plates (having previously ordered plates and been a satisfied customer) but when they arrived one was scratched and also had a fault in it. I contacted Demon Plates and sent them photos etc. They initially showed concern but instead of simply sending out a replacement they asked me to send the faulty/damaged plate back to them first. I asked for some freepost details or similar (as I didn't see why I should pay the cost to return the faulty item) and since then I have had no response to my emails. Very disappointed and will not be using Demon Plates again.

We're sorry to hear that your experience of Demon Plates was not a happy one. You reported damage to your plates and said that they had arrived in that condition. On inspecting the photos you sent us we were not convinced there was any damage of our causing and therefore asked that you return the plates for further inspection ….. we would have refunded the cost of the carriage. You refused to return them and that is your choice to do so but that only means that the matter could not progress further. We did try. Demon Plates

Sending plates which state not road legal is poor. I'm asked to provide evidence of V5 and license - why else would I want plates than to put on the car?!

Even after the warnings we gave you regarding correct digit spacing, you placed your order with a digit spacing which made the plates illegal for use on the UK highway. We sent your order with a warning affixed to each plate letting you know that you would be breaking the law by using the supplied product as a number plate on the UK highway. We gave you the warnings but you did not heed them I am sorry to say.
