The light was delayed by 2-3 weeks and then i was asked to import duty fees by the courier of 83 pounds which i had to as we had already cut holes to its size in the tile . Not a great experience to say the least.

Dear Customer, I am so sorry to see that you have left a negative review regarding your order. Unfortunately, due to the manufacturer experiencing supply issues there was a delay on the order being dispatched, however this was less than 2 weeks and you were kept fully updated throughout. We had then expedited the delivery from Italy and they then tried to deliver the following day. You were never asked to pay the import fee's, you took it upon yourself to pay this as it had shown up on the tracking due to an error in the courier system. You emailed us at 19:05pm asking about the fee's and then at 19:10pm you informed us that you had paid them. This never gave us a chance to deal with the courier company to find out what had happened. This would have been dealt with promptly by Designer Lighting Store if given the chance. You were immediately issued a full reimbursement for these fees that you had paid in error. We always advise customers (and it is stated in out T&C's) that no holes should be drilled into the installation site of the fittings prior to receiving your order. I am sorry that you feel that you have not had a great experience with Designer Lighting Store, but your customer service advisor had done everything she could to have this order delivered to you as quickly as possibly. Sometimes there are delays with manufacturers and couriers and these delays are completely out of our control (dispatch dates are always stated as approximate dates). However, we pride ourselves on the standard of communication from our customer service team and feel on this occasion that you received this same standard. Warm regards, Team Designer Lighting Store
