“Direct Line have caused me incredible amounts of stress and led to a big fine and 6 points on my license after a system error caused them to delete my insurance.
Following this deletion, they failed to communicate with me that my insurance had been cancelled leaving me without insurance until I was pulled over, totally unaware of what had happened.
I’ve been with them 20 years and all I asked for was a letter admitting they’d made a mistake. They refused to do this. I was even happy to waive compensation and free insurance, but they wouldn’t help still.
DON’T EVER USE DIRECT LINE - they are a horrible company.”
“I have been with Direct Line for a few years and was thinking of changing to see if I could get a cheaper deal for the car so went on Confused.com and chose AXA. It would have been slightly cheaper but had to be done online and what I like about Direct Line is I get to talk to a real live person!! None of this "chat" which isn't chat at all it's typing. So I rang Direct Line and spoke to a helpful man who agreed the cheaper price AXA had quoted. So that made my day!”
