police, "FBI" & immigration, at my rented room 11 Aug, 2020 date, I head on downstairs at D'Salvatore Hotel at around 13:00 to extend for a day. It's to give me a few hours to pack before I'm onto my next destination. There's new staff at reception. I go for a cash payment for the 1-day topup. The staff don't want give me a receipt. Eventually the receipt book is out. Now there's resistance to put the date on the document. Plus which night my payment is for. I ask for my receipt again. The staff member heads over to the PC, then goes for a printout on the statement, which excludes the cash payment I make. I take a photo of the cash, and receipt. I blast the staff. I proceed to tear the receipt from the book. It's attempted "counter fraud". I head back to my rented room on the 3rd floor. Then downstairs 10's of minutes later. The lobby is full of "visitors". Possibly as many as 15-20 men. I see 2 police officers in uniform stationed at the entrance. I walk up to the guys. I brief them on the happenings pointing to the reception desk. I'm out the hotel for a few minutes. I return. A guy approaches me with a badge, not in uniform, introducing himself as the "FBI". Hereinafter referred to as "the FBIG" (FBI guy). With the police metres from us in the lobby, I assume it's legitimate. We head on over to a table near the lobby where the interview commences. I'm asked to show the "FBI" my passport. It's off to my rented room. I notice the FBIG following me, followed by 10-15 of his associates. All not in uniform. I enter my rented room, the FBIG follows, and the others shuffling to get into the room. I ask the FBIG that the others wait outside for the interview to resume. I direct our attention to my Google review on my ID card withheld by officials in another province. I back up further questioning on the facts with whatsapp transcripts, documents & so on. I exchange contact details with the FBIG, name shown on whatsapp as Aldhino. Net result. I get a commitment from the "FBI". It's to recover my ID card. The next day I hear knocking at the door to my rented room. I think it's my ID card to be delivered. It's not. The hotel has my contact details. There's a direct line from reception to the phone in my rented room. I don't get a call. It could be staff. Housekeeping. Someone at the wrong room. Turns out, it's immigration. Officer Radita in uniform and two others &o government resources looking to join in at my rented room. I'm presented with a warrant. It's to inform me there are changes to government policies on the temporary stay permit validity. It looks odd. I'm not required to sign or provide proof I've received the update on the stay permit. I have whatsapp contact details of another immigration officer, Madis (see photo), I meet at their offices in Surabaya that doesn't respond on my requests for an update. I do however get an update from my Visa agent MPG, on request from this end, informing I have 2 (two) days for a 5.7 million option to extend my stay permit as a social visa (see photo). The information doesn't match. So it's within 24 hours, as I'm about to move on, the police, "FBI" & immigration are at the hotel &o my rented room. It looks similar to the ID card withholding "game" to delay &o trip me up in moving on from Surabaya, weeks prior (as detailed in my other review). I pay double for accommodation while resolving these surprises. Extending where I'm at, and where I'm to go to. This is not uncommon. Similar tactics are used to get me to pay double to book &o pay for flights, accommodation and so on as per my other Google reviews. I get my ID card from reception. My other bookings and money paid over on Agoda is forfeited (see photos). It's discovered the FBIG is a member of Reserse Kriminal. An organization with authority to, on demand, order the release &o take possession of my ID card away from provincial level police (East Java). To be delivered to me. The FBIG asks if there's anything else he may be able to assist with. I share information on what's going on with Immigration and ask that he look into this with facts provided. Turns out their organization doesn't look into government affairs. According to the FBIG, it's beyond their scope (see transacript). They don't investigate government. So on my intent to move on. It's police, "FBI", & immigration. My onwards travels are tripped up. Second time in a row. I see the photo on the "FBI" guy's whatsapp profile is gone. Means I'm blocked, or he deleted his profile photo &o, or he deleted his whatsapp account. I run a double check on my second phone. I key in the guy's number. His photo shows up on my other phone (see photos). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Check out my shared Google drive for photos, documents & so on at https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1D8lJVjNCOUTnLa50IGd7F7NTPf6MfWNq?usp=sharing
