I started using Duales.com service in June 2011 after big research about different options to transfer money to Cuba to my friends. At that time it was the best option. A few years ago I tried to use Western Union once and was checking on other web services how much it would be sending money through them, and so far I’m still with Duales. In the beginning I was transferring money to bank account (something like Caribbean Transfers Card) , and later I tried and started using only home delivery option. Just in this January 2020 I did two transfers for my two friends in Cuba , and below is what I spent on it : For 50CUC I paid 71.90 CAD with home delivery service. Delivered in two days. For 100 CUC I paid 139.11 CAD with home delivery service. Delivered in three days. When checked with Western Union two different locations in Toronto sending 100 CUC would cost me 148.50 CAD After all I’m still very happy with Duales.com service, and another big advantage is that when I’m in Cuba and don’t want to withdraw money from my credit card as exchange rate and all fees will be bigger, I can simply submit another transaction using internet on my phone and expect it will be delivered in three days to my girl in city close to my resort, and after she get it, she can pass it to me. At least now I have two options to use my credit card for withdrawal or do the web transfer from Canada. … P.S. by they way if you consisted to use that service please get all necessary information about your friend as such as , First name, First Last Name, Second Last Name , full address , phone number, date of birth. If you want to try to transfer to banks accounts you will need to know their bank account in Banco Metropolitano, Banco Popular de Ahorro or Banco de Credito y Comercio BANDEC … When you prepare transfer , and choose your friend from the list , put the amount you want your friend to receive in CUC in Cuba, then press next and WAIT for email with transaction number and amount you need to pay !!! Then choose you payment option. I prefer all the time eTransfer , and from my Royal Bank account it was free last year for this time of payment for Duales. I hope some info will be very useful because I remember how much time I spent trying to find affordable solutions for transfers to Cuba.

Home delivery of USD is okay, but to be able to transfer USD onto bank MLC cards again would be preferable. Why is that option not available anymore?

The company offers an easy and safe way to send funds to Cuba. The Duales website is relatively easy to use but has a notable major flaw. Specifically, there is absolutely no way to obtain a status of your transaction via the website. The site offers customer service telephone number contacts but it is virtually impossible to reach anyone to obtain the status of your transaction. Personally, I left my telephone number with two customer service personnel and I never received a call back. Live chat is no better. I asked a question and never received a response.

I have used their services a few times, as the options to send money to Cuba are limited and suffering changes on a daily basis. I have to say that DUALES has sometimes delivered the money on time, however, the way they operate is similar to that in CUBA, they make changes last minute and you have to accept the changes, because by the time you realize the change it is too late. Last night I placed two orders Delivery Type: MLC Card USD Any Bank, I even chatted with the so called supervisor on line and he explained the type of cards. Well to make the story short when I checked the order status today it showed home delivery. They decided to change the delivery method without even advising about this, and for the person chatting this was ok. They just decided that it was like this and that is it. Take it or leave it. Same mentality as the Cuban Government you have to makedo with any change even if you do not like it. They did not even thought about the idea, that maybe we do not want anyone delivering anything person to person, because we do not want our family members to be exposed to COVID 19 by receiving unknown people. The card is our best option. They failed at everything, customer service, delivering their promises etc. It seems they are working for the Cuban Government instead forcing people to whatever they want. They could have contacted me and advised me that the card option was no longer available, and proposed the change instead of deciding by themselves. Now they are forcing my family members to go to a bank, line up to deposit the money once again exposing them to COVID 19 It is a pity a business like this one can operate in Canada with such poor practices, rude personnel, and lack of professionalism.

Generally well performing site, but there is no method to cancel and erase transactions. A new user will make mistakes until they become more skilled using the app. Also, if there are limits to the amounts of money that can be sent per time period, ie., a week, or month, it would be good to know this in advance, prior to filling out all the info first, then submitting.

Esta es otra agencia que ayuda al sistema cubano en sus robos con el cambio del dinero, uno paga en USD para que sus familiares y amigos reciban USD y no CUC, esta bien en parte que le den CUP pero uno envia USD no CUP ni CUC. Asi que elimino mi cuenta. Abajo el Comunismo. This is another agency that helps the Cuban system in its robberies with the exchange of money, one pays in USD so that their family and friends receive USD and not CUC, it is okay in part that they give them CUP but one sends USD not CUP or CUC. So I delete my account. Down with Communism.

Este review es solo por el servicio al cliente y sobrecargos que me hicieron a mi tarjeta. Para ser justo, el dinero llego a Cuba mas rapido de lo que pense. Creo que llego en menos de 48 horas a Ciudad Habana. En eso les doy todos los puntos posibles. PERO: - Si estas en USA - Si usas tarjeta de debito (quizas tarjeta de credito tambien, no se) de USA - Si piensas pagar en US dolares. Chequeen sus transacciones con esta compania en sus cuentas bancarias y esperen a que finalicen. Si las transacciones dicen "Pending" haz nota de la cantidad que te cobraron y la cantidad cuando ya finalice la transaccion. Vas a ver que no solo las cantidades sondifferente pero posiblemente mas de lo que acordaste pagar en US dollares. La cantidad que esta compania me cobro no fue la misma que anuncian en el calculador en dolares Estado Unidenses. Ya veo que por lo menos hay otra persona aqui con queja similar. Ellos te cobran en dolares Canadienses que en mi caso resulto en yo pagar mas por la transaccion en dolares Americanos. Cuando los contacte, ellos no solamente me despreciaron con mala actitud que recuerda los burocratas de Cuba, pero me insultaron la inteligencia basicamente culpando al banco y dandome lecciones de intercambio de moneda, mientras el departamento de fraude de mi banco me decia que el banco solo cobra un Foreign Exchange rate de 3% y se muestra separado en las transacciones en mi cuenta de banco. Quiere decir que ese unico cargo del banco NO es incluido en la cantidad cobrada por el mercader como me queria esta compania hacer creer. La cantidad sacada por esta compania fue mas de lo acordado en US dollars. Bueno, esta gente me pidieron una imagen mostrando los cargos y se las mande. Asi y todo todavia me insultaron la inteligencia distorcionando los hechos mostrados en la imagen diciendome que ellos estaban en lo correcto. Bueno, finalizaron un correo diciendo que es mejor que no hicieramos negocio ya desde ese entonces lo que obviamente acepte. Nunca mas. Despues de muchos emails de alla para aca, me dicen que ellos me cobraron en dolares Canadienses cierta cantidad y que yo estuve de acuerdo con eso. Les dije que yo nunca estuve de acuerdo con pagar nada en dolares canadienses y mucho menos una cantidad interna de ellos en dolares canadienses que ni corresponda al la cantidad mostrada en el calculador en US Dollars cuando intercambiada. Les dije que yo acepte pagar lo que le calculador muestra en US dollars, no una moneda Canadiense con lo cual no estoy familiarizado. El departamento de fraude y claims de mi banco me sugirio que hiciera una reversa para toda la transaction, pero no necesitaba hacer eso. Simplemente queria que me devolvieran lo que me sobrecargaron, cancelar mi tarjeta y mandarme una nueva. No confio en esta gente. Les aconsejo que antes de pagar sepan la cantidad que le van a cobrar en dolares canadienses e ir al calculador XE en Google a convertirlo en USD a ver cuanto van a pagar aproximadamente. PONGAN OJO A ESTO. Ve mas alla y mandales un correo pidiendoles que te confirmen que la cantidad que ellos van a sacar de tu banco es la cantidad mostrada en el calculador en US Dolares. Yo les hice esa pregunta semanas antes y un tipo rude me respondio evadiendo esa y otras preguntas diciendo que basicamente no tenia tiempo para mi, que estaba muy ocupado con hackers, el Covid-19 y no se que, que fuera a visitar las FAQs que ni me ayudaron. Increible la forma en que tratan a unos potenciales clientes.

Trate de mandar dinero a cuba, Me dicen q la transacción fue aprobada pero no me preguntaron por tarjeta de crédito ni nada. Mi pregunta es como la transacción fue aprobada si ustedes no tienen esa información.

I had an issue with filling out my online form on Duales. I left a voicemail and my call was not returned. However, once I spoke to Sonia on the phone I received a very quick and kind response. Overall I was very pleased with my service. At this point my delivery has not been made so I have no response to that at this time.
