“Shopped today in Dunnes in Knocknacarra in Galway, I just could not believe how helpful Vicky the young lady who served us was. I purchased my clothes and asked about a top I liked but they did not have my size. She rang around the other shops and we decided we would try another store. I mentioned I would be grocery shopping next, Vicky appeared with the top, it had just come in. That's what I called service, and all delivered with a smile. She made my day.”
“Hi I attended the Tralee Store today and met with a girl called Shauna Dowling. I was looking for a boys jumper, they didn't have it in their store. She went to check the Horan centre store and it wasn't there so she rang the Killarney store for me and they are holding it for me. Honestly I have never met a staff member that was so helpful and friendly.”
“I made several purchases online with Dunnes Stores and I have to say I am very impressed- items arrived quickly, well packaged and correct- anything that needed to be returned was refunded promptly. There are no free returns by post or courier but that is not surprising, I used the An Post returns service and was pleasantly surprised that it was collected from my home- much easier than going to the post office. You can of course return items to your nearest store free of charge but due to the ongoing situation with COVID-19 I prefer to avoid people.
The only issue I had was the massive discrepancy on sizes between their regular range and the Savida range, a ladies xxl in the regular range fits a generous size 22-24 but the Savida xxl would be at most an 18-20 if you are lucky.
Us larger ladies like stylish colourful things too!

“I moved over from Tesco to Dunnes because of the €10 off vouchers on your next shop. However there is a little sticking point that really annoys me. I shop at The Marshes in Dundalk. Twice now I gave the cashier my parking ticket to put through the scanner, and was told that I have to go up to the counters further up, as their tills scanner didn't work. The tills I went to were # 1 and # 2, but I had to go up to tills #10 or # 11 , and que up a 2nd time for my parking ticket to be scanned. Why can't tills #1 and 2 get the scanner fixed, so I don't have que twice.”
“Myself and my Husband are regular customers at Dunnes Stores in Nenagh, We went in to get our Shopping last week as usual I paid for one trolley load and he was getting more so he was at the next Counter from me his bank card wouldn't work in the machine so I went to pay with mine and that wouldn't work either, so I ask the cashier to hold on a sec while I went to see would the card work in the ATM, I was putting the trolley of shopping by Customer Service while we got out the money so he could serve the Customers that were in the line behind us, the manager made a show of us ,she told us put the trolley back and when we went to the ATM she pushed it out of the way and knocked a cake off it picked it up and put it back on the trolley in bits , we got the cash from the ATM and payed for the Shopping and left the shop mortified. We went back in today to get our Shopping and say it to on of the Managers about what happened but Couldn't find anyone. The Staff are always the nicest people in nenagh Dunnes. But the Managers need to learn how to treat there Customers right, or they'll end up with none .”

“I shop in Blanchardstown. Since the revamp in the store and the new shopping trolleys are a problem. For the past 3 weeks everytime I shop I cant get the 2 Euro back from the trolley. Either the trolley returns are jammed up or trolleys from other shops are blocking Dunnes trolley return sections.This means I have to leave 2 Euro behind every week.Im an old age pensioner and think this should be looked into.I know I will be .”
“Dunnes, please change your app. It's impossible to navigate, especially for elderly people. I've downloaded the app for my mother (in her 80's). When she opens it, the first screen is still prompting her to download it (which is so confusing). Then, in order to be scanned at the checkout, she has to navigate through the app and enter a further combination of email address! At a checkout! With people behind her! And no mechanism to save this combination. I'm really shocked.at how bad it is in these days of user experience etc. Thanks.”
“A few days ago i was in the timepiece coffee shop in dunnes stores in castlebar. I was served by a girl with short dark hair and glasses. I'm sorry to say but she was very rude and obnoxious and made me feel like I was putting her out by asking for some food. I ordered some chips and she told me she would bring them down to me at the table. I sat down and I waited I looked up at the counter and I saw her putting my chips on a plate and eating one or two of them before bringing them down to me. I couldn't believe what I was actually seeing also when she brought down my order I could get a strong smell of alcohol from her and this was in the afternoon. I'm sorry but I won't be going to this restaurant again if staff are eating from customers plates and smelling of drink. Very unprofessional”
