“We have done two trips organised by the wonderful people at Euroventure: the first was Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Sweden and Finland, and the second was France, Switzerland, Italy and Austria. The people at Euroventure were really great while we were in the planning stages, making changes for us as well as making suggestions for changes. Both trips went very smoothly and we’ll have no hesitation getting another trip organised by them.”

“We built a custom trip with Euroventure last summer which lasted 3 weeks with stop in 7 European cities - Krakow, Budapest, Bratislava, Vienna, Ljubljana, Zagreb & Split. We travelled as a couple and opted for 3 star hotels. The trip was planned perfectly. We got upgrades to four star hotels on two occasions which was a lovely surprise. All the hotels the company picked were fantastic, especially the locations. I could never have planned something the way Euroventure had it done, it was truly a trip of a lifetime.”

“I had the best experience with Euroventure! I went on the 80-day around Europe trip. With such a long trip, I didn't know what to expect, the travel team had everything planned and ready to go. Any time I had a question, they were quick to respond and kept my informed of any changes made to my trip because of how long I was traveling. This was my first time traveling alone, and having my route planned out with all my transportation and accommodations booked ahead of time was a great stress reliever. I would recommend Euroventure to anyone planning on going to Europe.”

“If you are looking for a company to plan an unforgettable European trip with then stop searching and book now with Euroventure. Especially if you are a solo traveller which can be daunting, but these great people dispel any concerns! The service provided is quite simply faultless. From the moment you make that first contact, through each stage of the planning process, whilst you are on your travels, and until they know you are back home safe and still basking in the trip of a lifetime, they offer exceptional support that just makes you feel so relaxed and reassured. Any enquiry is responded to swiftly, efficiently, and courteously - they really do care about the experience you are having. “We experienced a couple of issues on our trip around Europe (Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague, Budapest, Munich and Brussels) with euroventure. The first issue we came across was that our train from Amsterdam to Deventer did not exist, when we checked train times the day before, this meant we had to contact the euroventure emergency number to find out which trains we could get instead. Therefore, we had to get an earlier train and change twice at Utrecht and Amersfoort. Amersfoort was also spelt wrong on the email sent from euroventure with the new train times, meaning we all filled it out wrong on our interail passes. If we hadn’t checked the day before we would have missed the train and lost half a day in Berlin. The second issue we experienced was that on a number of trains we could not find seats as they were full, so we had to sit in the gangways for 4+ hour train journeys. This is as a result of being advised in our euroventure information book that the trains were open seating, so we would therefore be able to sit in any seat, when in fact the majority of people reserve seats meaning there aren’t many, if any, left for open seating. We therefore paid for seat reservations on a lot of our later trains to ensure we had seats, adding to the overall cost of the holiday, around 5 euro per train per person. We would have expected booking through a company of expert travellers that this issue would have been highlighted to us and the option to reserve seats given in the booking stage. The third issue we experienced was that whilst a lot of the hostels promise free breakfasts on their websites, if you book through a company like yourselves you are expected to pay for them. The final issue we experienced on the holiday was with our hostel in Brussels. We decided to get the later train into Brussels to ensure we had some time to explore Munich, however this train ended up being delayed so we arrived in Brussels around 11pm. Once we arrived at the hostel after using the public transport we were told that we were in a separate building 20 mins walk from where we were, there had been no mention of this in the directions and information about the hostel. We therefore had to walk through the streets of Brussels at 11.45pm which was a frightening experience for a group of five girls, as the streets were filled with drunks. If we had known that the hostel was so much further away we would have got the earlier train. Once we arrived at the hostel we went to the room the lady on the front desk gave us keys for and directed us to, to find that there were only two beds for five of us. We therefore tried to call reception but it had shut as it was now past midnight, (something else we weren’t told about), which would have been an issue if our train was delayed anymore. We therefore decided to go back down to the lobby and phone the emergency euroventure number. Whilst we were doing this we noticed a guy locking the common room and asked if he worked there, instead of answering the question he asks “why?” so we ask again and instead of answering he asks “Is there a problem?”. His whole attitude and not answering the question as to whether he worked at the hostel made us all very uncomfortable and unsure whether to trust him, but we told him about the problem as we didn’t have any other option. He eventually sorted the issue out for us, but not before having a go at us for being on the phone to you and yelling down the phone in another language which made us feel very intimidated. The person on the euroventure emergency number was very nice but at the end of the day there wasn’t much he could do. We wrote an email to euroventure about these issues and were offered no compensation instead given a very condescending email reply in which they forgot to copy the trip leader into. Because of theses experiences I would not recommend using this company and would not book through them again.”

Thanks again for the feedback which you already sent us by email. Here is the email you referred to that we wrote back to you, which you are still very welcome to respond to. I have copied it exactly since it still addresses all the points you raise. Please do reply to it if you have any further comments to make and we will be more than happy to assist you further. On 18th July I wrote to you: Thanks very much for your email outlining the issues you experienced. I wanted to give you a full response so apologies I wasn’t able to do this yesterday. I am sorry that you found the train in the travel pack was not running. Timetables do change, and various cancellations occur, which as you mentioned we do not have control over. Unfortunately, we don’t have such an alert system as you described – this is not down to the size of the company (about 20 people) but actually just this kind of system doesn’t exist. Our way of compensating for this is having the out of hours phone, which you were able to call once you found out about the problem. Regarding the misspelling of Amersfoort, Amy who you spoke to on the phone sent you an email within just a few minutes of the call to get you all the information quickly, and she typed out the station name wrong. This would not have affected your interrail passes in any way. Whilst we did mention when confirming your booking that you could add seat reservations that weren’t compulsory, I acknowledge that we didn’t specifically advise either way whether we thought they should be included. I agree with you that booking through a company of expert travellers we should be providing this guidance as opposed to simply presenting the option. The issue is that it’s hard to know specifically which trains will be busy and over what period, and we don’t want to make people feel that they should always include them when they don’t need them – after all there is also a benefit to being flexible with the interrail pass on the day of travel. I am glad that you were able to purchase the seat reservations in the station once you made the decision to, and of course the cost of these would have been the same if you had booked through us. For next summer we will review which trains are particularly busy and we will try to make that information more accessible to guide travellers on which trains we would recommend seat reservations on. I have looked into the Brussels hostel, and would like to reassure you that the experience you described is an anomaly. I am very sorry that you felt unsafe walking across Brussels. We were not aware that the hostel would allocate you a room that was twenty minutes’ walk away, as if we had been we would not have booked it. We look at our hostel partnerships at least once a year and work hard to make sure you are staying in places with a minimum standard of service. This kind of feedback helps us do that and we have decided not to use 2Go4 Grande Place hostel any more. I can only apologise on behalf of the hostel for the behaviour of their employees, which does not adhere to the standard we would also expect. With regards to breakfasts, it is not something that we claim to include. Hostels which include free breakfast for everyone also include it for Euroventure guests, as should have been the case in the Flying Pig Uptown in Amsterdam for example. We do try to be as clear as possible with everyone at the time of booking about exactly what is included, and we do also review this kind of information from time to time – but if it is not what you expected then we can look at improving our communication in this area. “My daughter (20) and I wanted to do a tour of Europe together but were finding it difficult to coordinate hotels and train times etc. My daughter found Euroventure online, we contacted them and they were fantastic. All our emails were answered promptly and thoroughly. They organised an itinerary with all the cities we wanted to see and our eurail tickets were all organised. The hotels were all fairly good, some better than others but well priced and mostly in good locations. I would definitely recommend them!”

“Honestly awesome! I had a trip in summer with them that last 3 weeks and the experience start to finish was amazing. The team was very accommodating and willing to answer any questions/ solve any issues. This was a big decision for me but they made me feel really comfortable. Not a bad thing to say!!! Not to mention the booklet they give you with everything in it. People I met travelling were amazed! The pages on the languages, places to go, the directions of how to get to Ur hostel...all clear and wonderful. Everything was perfect. Thank you!”

“Really excellent service from start to finish. I was impressed by how carefully our trip was planned in line with what we wanted and the whole booking process was really straightforward and clear. It felt like every detail had been considered. Everything went really smoothly on the trip - trains and hotels were great - we just had one issue with a cancelled train towards the end. Not Euroventure's fault at all but they were brilliant at sorting it all out and checked in with us regularly to make sure we were ok. They offer a very personal service and we felt very well-looked after. I would definitely recommend them and will use them again.”

“The highlight of our year so far! 🤩 Me and my partner loved the Central Europe Tour 🌍(2 weeks), we would recommend it to ANYONE! And we would even suggest doing the Whole of Europe tour (4 weeks), as we could have easily carried on travelling with this company and the amazing people we met! 🤗The whole trip was thoroughly planned and so enjoyable! Such a stress free experience, especially for someone like myself who gets quite anxious when travelling - I would 100% do again!🫶🏻 I met some incredible individuals, and the group planned activities were just what we needed to establish really strong bonds straight away! We have definitely made some lifelong friends and memories we will forever cherish! 🫶🏻💜 The creation of the WhatsApp group chat with all our fellow travellers beforehand was so beneficial!💬 It broke the ice and put our minds at ease about the uncertainty of the upcoming trip 😅 And our guide Cristina 😇 - was brilliant, super friendly, helpful, considerate and extremely knowledgeable - educating us all. “Trip of a lifetime. I have made the most special memories and lifelong friends. I would recommend Euroventure to everyone! Arriving in London alone before the trip began was made far less daunting by the ease of booking, clear itinerary and the great advice on the website for planning and packing etc! Cristina was absolutely fabulous!! She took the stress out of the whole trip which made it even more enjoyable! Even when something went slightly wrong or something happened, Cristina always had a smile on her face and helped us through (even after 3 hours sat in a hospital waiting room after I got bitten by a horse). Thank you Cristina, for everything! I feel so grateful to have had the experience and the endless fun that I did!! I will definitely be travelling with Euroventure again in the future!”

“Recently returned from the two week Central European group tour and had the most amazing time! And that was in large part to our wonderful tour leader, Cristina! We literally would have been lost without her. She made travelling super calm and easy for the whole group and gave great recommendations and support throughout. A true credit to the euroventure. The company took all the stress out of travelling and booking and made sure we had great activities to do in each city. And the accommodation we had in each location was excellent, very fun and vibrant! The support provided by the team when given queries before the trip was also super fast, helpful and professional. “Thank you Euroventure for taking the stress out of planning a great vacation! We were thoroughly pleased with our accommodations in London, Paris, Venice, and Rome. The proximity to the major sites at each of our hotels was excellent. We were just two blocks from the Tower of London, two blocks from the Louvre while in Paris, and a canal ran beside our hotel in Venice. We were impressed with the hospitality of the staff at each hotel, and very relieved to be able to communicate in English. Unused to taking trains, we were very grateful to have our tickets in hand, and for your detailed instructions. “I booked my trip pre pandemic and I must have sent 50+ emails back and forth throughout the three years. Despite this, they were patient & accommodating each & every time! I am a 32 year old female & had never travelled solo before (I was terrified) I had the best experience of my life! The ease of flying off knowing all my accommodation & travel had already been planned, made this the most stress free trip of my life! The accommodations I stayed in were amazing & always at the centre of each place I visited. I received a travel pack which I printed off & carried with me at all times. The pack contained my accommodation details, directions, Places to see, where to eat & what I shouldn't miss in each place. I followed their advice to a tee & was not disappointed! I am already looking into booking another trip with Euroventure! Thank you for making the most anticipated trip of my life so far, the most amazing trip of my life so far!”

“Just returned from our 21 day rail tour through Spain. Euro venture booked all our rail tickets & hotels in the 5 cities we stayed. All the hotels were in fantastic locations. Central but not noisy. The times of travel were tailored to our request. All the hotels were clean,offered meals at reasonable costs & were modern. Our journey home could have been a nightmare. We arrived at Barcelona station to be told all rail journeys into Paris were cancelled due to strike action. We were in utter panic. We phoned the Euro venture emergency number where Scott assured us not to worry & he would sort everything. And he did. Within 3 hours we were booked on flights home. We just got a taxi from the train station to the airport. From listening to what we wanted from our holiday & organising it Euro venture were brilliant. Definitely recommend them & will definitely be using them for our next adventure.”
