DO NOT BUY YOUR CAR FROM EH. If you Value your time sanity and money Please save yourself ALOT of stress and do not buy whatever you do. I literally cannot even describe how despicably I have been treated over the past two months I have been without my car. I had bought my car on the 2nd of February It then stopped working In the middle of April. Since then I have gone through and I’m still going through absolute hell trying to get my car fixed without being offered any compensation or even a courtesy car. I have had to beg for updates as no garage or department will answer their phone no one has given me any answers As to when my car will be fixed. I have just been passed from pillar to post and being taken as a joke. I have never regretted buying something so much in my life. This has caused me extreme stress and anxiety and I will never ever buy from EH again. I bought my car from the Ford Milton Keynes branch and they are quick enough to take your money but as soon as your car leaves the tarmac you might as well forget any kind of after-care. I have now been paying for finance, warranty, insurance, road tax and fuel that I have not been able to use myself. My story is so much worse and longer than I can write on here. I want my money back from these con-men. Absolute scam artists

Where do i even start? sold me a car advertised with full service history when its only had 3 services and last one being at 40k miles the car is currently on 73k miles....they'll tell you they do all these checks and service your car but my car turned up with no washer fluid whatsoever, oil below minimum, coolant below minimum, they have thousands of cars so don't think for a second the salesman has a clue about the car your ringing up about and probably hasn't even sat in it. Car delivery guy left a mars bar on my passenger seat and chocolate crumbs all over the gear selector! car turned up with 3 mile to empty with dashboard lights flashing and sounds basically saying your car is about to conk out! After driving to fill the car up it was instantly obvious there was something wrong with the gearbox, gear changes weren't smooth and it shifted rough and was clearly slipping...so obvious in fact there is no way Evans Halshaw drove the car down to me and handed the keys over without knowing the car was broke!! Fast forward 3 days and they made me book it in at a local garage just for car to be test run multiple times and sat in a car park for a week just for Evans Halshaw not to authorise the work as it was too expensive apparently, instead they sent someone back down 110 miles each way to fetch the car to take it back to Blackpool Ford to fix it, due to my insurance i had to have a blackbox installed which i made them FULLY aware of but the driver took no care whatsoever and drove my car like it was his own giving me bad scores to point of insurance threatening cancellation and when this wasn't enough when the car got to their garage one of their mechanics unplugged the box!!!! i had to spend 5 hours on the phone to insurance proving the car wasn't in my hands during these times. After ringing up EH they finally plugged it back in but what was interesting was the fact my box recorded multiple trips to shops and chippies, after asking them they claimed "test runs" yes im sure driving my car to a fish shop was just a test run even though it shows they parked outside it for a good 5 min like hm, also makes me laugh that they unplugged my dashcam how strange..so just know when your cars are in for repairs they're being took on joyrides. fast forward 2 weeks and i finally got my car back, gearbox was fixed but they also fitted steering parts without telling me and my steering was super heavy and they told me thats how its meant to be! before i could use one finger to turn the wheel now i needed both hands.....car also turned up with less than 10 miles yet it left with over half a tank which tells me they used a lot of my petrol on joyrides, gave them their courtesy car back with fuel and thats the thanks i get. Took over 3 months for the salesman to even send off the V5 so i wasn't even the registered keeper for 4 months, warranty pack i didn't get sent for 3 months either, AA cover they "gave" me didn't even work and the salesman goes from your best friend to ignoring you after they've got your money i even heard him sigh on the phone as i reported the issues...how dare i as a customer moan about a broken gearbox not even 10 min after it was delivered in such a state. So yeah beware using EH, they do zero checks and cant even be bothered to hoover the car out so what does that tell you? they dont service or check your engine and will happily delivery a car to you and hand you the keys knowing its broke not to mention the prices, they'll tell you their prices are what cars are going for now yet they'll offer you say £5,000 for your car then do nothing to it and relist it with £2,000 on top so why anyone sells them their cars is beyond me you'd make more from private selling. Would avoid and use a private seller.

I bought a car from them for work during lockdown. The day after I started work, the coil pack went. They said they could book me in for a repair in 3 weeks even though it was only a 10 minute job! I had to get it repaired elsewhere for £265 otherwise I would have been out of work. They said they would pay that bill out of goodwill. I handed them the invoice. I never heard anything. I chased them up several times but didn't get anywhere. I had been their customer since late 2015. This is the most disgusting treatment of a client possible.

'WARNING - do not purchase a car from this dealership ( Gloucester ) , they actually advertised and sold my 21 year old daughter a car claiming it had 12000 miles on the clock ( from the trip counter ) when it actually had 39000 on the clock. When returning the car NO compensation was offered for their mistake BUT they had the audacity to charge her £150 to return the car the following day claiming she had driven over the 250 mile limit allowed to return a car. She lives nearly 200 miles from the dealership ! Oh and as she had to leave a £250 deposit to send the V5 given she had private plate they are deducting the money from this. The sales assistant Connor is so far refusing to answer emails resulting in no other option but for her to claim a refund through the small claim courts. This was a significant purchase for a young girl that has only left a bitter taste in terms of what should have been a joyful experience, shame on you Car Store !

I took delivery of a 3 year old Suzuki Swift Sport from Evan's Halshaw, Bury. 2 weeks later I discovered I had a potentially dangerous, faulty, sensor tyre valve. Apparently, It had been damaged whilst E.H replaced 1 new tyre prior to selling the car. When i took the valve cap off to test the tyre pressure you could hear the air loudly 'hissing' It only stopped when I screwed the dust cap back on. I immediately took it to an independent garage who said it wasnt safe to drive. In the meantime I rang the supplier in Bury, (200 miles away) who said I ought to take it to the nearest E.H who would sort it. I drove to E.H in Bedford. Waste of time!. I arrived there at 11am. It took them till 3.30pm to inform me, the part would take 3 to 4 days to arrive. In the meantime I was to drive the car home, then drive it back again when they would fit the new part. They didnt seem bothered if the dust cap should come off in the meantime whilst I was driving. Although they couldnt guarantee the safety of it either. I took it upon myself to contact my local garage, who obtained and fitted the repair part by 5pm that same day! I completely understand if it was an insignificant or cosmetic part. But, this was a potentially dangerous faulty part of a wheel! I was extremely annoyed with E. Halshaw, I missed a days pay, petrol and great inconvenience to myself. They reimbursed the cost of the part which was £20.00 plus £15.00 towards my inconvenience. That just about covered the petrol I suppose! A letter of apology wouldnt have gone amiss from such a large company. I thought the service department and after sales team behaved appallingly especially considering I am a women. They obviously didnt care at all about the safety issue. I wouldnt have expected that kind of service or after sales service from a back street garage, let alone a supposedly reputable one.

Bought a Fiat 500 Abarth from the Treforest branch in Cardiff in August 2019. Took it back to them in November 2019 as the gearbox was whining in 3rd and 4th. They took the gearbox out, stripped it and replaced most of the internal components after having to get a lot of parts from Italy. Got the car back the week before Christmas so without a car for 6 weeks. All seemed ok for about another month or so but then the whine came back again, still in 3rd and 4th. Took the car back to Cardiff branch and a technician agreed there was a problem again. I was told to drive it for another 2 weeks and if it got worse to book it in to be repaired again. Did get worse so car was left with them on the 11th of March and told it would be ready at the latest by 20th of March. Then lockdown came in and even though the sales department was open no-one would tell me the score with my car. I can get no answers from my phone calls or emails and up to date have been without my car for 84 days this year and 41 days last year. I've made 26 phone calls to them with nobody having the decency to answer the bloody phone. Shoddy customer service all round. Would never ever deal with bunch of clowns again. Avoid like the plague.

Okay, we are in lockdown but other dealerships are offering good customer service. In over 12 weeks I have got absolutely nowhere with my enquiries. I would give NO stars if I could.

Absolutely awful. Sold me and my mum cars and BOTH are broken and have needed to have work done every month for the past 3 years but we can’t return them or anything as we’re paying on finance.

Well I just went to trade in an insignia that’s I bought from the Chester branch a couple of years ago, only to be told by the dealer that it was a category 5 writeoff in the past, so I was sold this car under false pretences. Beware of these bandits

Where to start...6 months in with a DS3 purchased from them and whole engine completely malfunctioned 4 months out of its warranty,3 years left on the PCP deal and ABSOLUTELY no help whatsoever from the branch, quoted me £11.5k to repair a £9k car at the time. Through nearly a month of chasing and me doing all the work we got a discount to get the repairs done, they lost my service book so wanted to void any discount to repair the car, so it was only when I told them how to do their job they pulled their finger out (by getting them to ring up the previous Citroen garage). Incompetent after sales then charged me 3 times the amount due to not being trained on how to use a “new” system, literally had no money to pay any bills in my bank for 2 weeks whilst they sat back and did nothing to help. Have lied about what MOT criteria is required to get non mandatory fixes through, I was quoted £500 to replace a whole DRL... took to my local garage who found it to be a lose wire, billed me £40 for their time to get it fixed. BEYOND dissatisfied with Evans Halshaw... how they sleep at night I don’t know, right from the bottom to the management there is no interest for the customer whatsoever, sad thing is this isn’t all of the issues we’ve had with them... AVOID AVOID AVOID!

I have never been treated so badly in all my life. I had an agreed deal with Evan's Halshaw Vauxhall in leeds. my old car was valued on site and test driven by them for part ex on a new car. I paid the deposit signed up for the car I even paid in full as requested over the internet at home the same day. They rang me next day saying I had to pay 700 pounds extra as they said the part ex they were giving on my car was not actualy worth it to them!. This is after the deal was done signed up and id paid in full. all that was left was to collect the car. This company is an absolute disgrace. they use very dodgy dealing practices at best and actualy break the law. Trading standars told me I had a legally enforceable contract and they are in breach of it. I am currently dealing with trading standards and taking legal advise as well I get free through my house insurance.

Called in to ask for some information regarding a new purchase Vauxhall Astra at the Hull branch spoke to a James Henderson very helpful chap he said he would look into sourcing a suitable car, that was a couple of weeks ago, received a phone call from another sales person at the branch did not get his name but what an arrogant rude person in fact I did intend to call back in this week with a view to purchasing a new car but not anymore after listening for a good ten min to this so called sales person, the abuse was down to me not giving him a straight answer am I buying or not if not I might as well put the phone down on you that was just a small portion of an arrogant so called sales person, well Evan Halshaw Hull one less customer to abuse, needless to say I won’t be purchased my new car from you.

If you could score a zero then that would be a more accurate review score! Absolutely appalling customer service and management that blatantly lie. To ask a customer to leave you a five star review after giving terrible customer service is a real joke. Surely it’s up to the customer to decide how many stars you should give in a review? Avoid the stress and buy your vehicle elsewhere! For a main Vauxhall dealership it’s appalling. * UPDATE* As usual just a standard response to any complaint. Pendragon customer services response (automated response) If you want to take your complaint forward then you would need to do so independently outside of the company. The details for the ADR scheme below: National Conciliation Service PO Box 6562 Rugby CV21 9QP Email: contact@nationalconciliationservice.co.uk Save yourself any stress and by your car at another dealership.Nice to see they are putting fake reviews up to hide real customers experience.

Where do I even start with this place? It hard to believe I am about to talk about a FORD MAIN DEALER ! First of all I had to wait over a month for a courtesy car. On arrival I was told with attitude that there would be a charge for the courtesy car even though I was not informed of this beforehand. When I got in the courtesy car it was an embarrassment. The inside of it was filthy with some very questionable stains on the seats, There was no water in the screen wash (which I’m pretty sure is illegal) and there was literally just enough fuel to get home. I was told that my car needed several softwares updates and they would need my car for two days. When I came back two days later to pick my car up I was informed by service that the car was fixed. Whilst driving the car home I noticed more faults with the car (too many to list) but lets just say there was more wrong with the car than before it went in to ‘get fixed’ even though the bill was over £500 !! To add more insult to this, they had replaced a part on my car and left the old dirty part on my passenger seat and the inside of my car was filthy and full of dirt and oily hand prints everywhere. When I called them to report my car was still faulty, I was told that because I’m reporting a ‘new fault’ there will be a charge even though they had created the fault and the car was in worse condition than before it went in ! The senior service advisor I spoke to was not interested and could not care less. When I requested for service manger to call me back he responded ‘no point because he’ll only say the same as me’ ! I was eventually told TWO WEEKS later that my car needs to be rebooked in when they have the parts. Another two weeks went by and not a word from Evans Halshaw so I had to call them ! I was basically told that they had done everything they can with my car and take it somewhere else who can fix it ! Correct me if I’m mistaken but this is a Ford dealership and you’re saying you can’t fix my ford car !? So to sum up, after a bill of over £500 and weeks of lies and dealing with a bunch of amateurs, my car is worse now than before I took it to Evans Halshaw. I‘m now off to Blackpool zoo to get an orang-utan to work on my car because they’ll do a better job than these jokers. I will be telling everybody I know to never ever use Evans Halshaw !

After booking an appointment to view the car at the Shiremoor branch I was met by an unhappy and uninterested salesman who was clearly not enjoying his chosen profession. We test drove the car with him sitting in the rear giving unenthusiastic one word answers to questions and comments about the car.Back in the showroom he had no interest in valuing my trade-in without me agreeing to buy the car saying it would take 40 minutes to value and would be a waste of his time if I did not want to go ahead. After my complaining about it he eventually disappeared for a good while and returned with his manager who reluctantly quoted a value on my car without even seeing it. Totally unprofessional and intimidating sales pitch that left us in total disbelief at our experience. We left and called into a Ford dealership next door Arnold Clark who were welcoming and professional, found us the same model of car, gave a very good trade in price which we accepted and bought their car.

Car had a health check they said the air con was OK they ticked it off on the sheet. Took the car to another garage the next day to be told the air con needed a recharge it was completely empty. It cost me £100 to put right. So if you are offered a health check beware.
