We meet in exclusive books Sandton city in 2019 As a young guy that relocated from KZN to work in sandton all alone without any family support hating the job I did going through loneliness and desperation.I found a friend in a friendly kind hearted bookkeeper names Jackie who I met one day while I was shopping for a book she inspired and induced me to many books while taking time to listen to my troubles while working always offering a kind word of support motivating me to keep pushing the Days I would skip work cause I couldn't handle the pressure the only person I had to turn too was Jackie her empathy and kindness was not only given to me but the many people that only requested assistance from her who came to the store just to greet her who's kids adored her. I ordered a book from exclusivebooks.com before checking for reviews. The following day, I checked the reviews and saw that they're mostly negative. Of course I started to panic, but it was already paid for and I accepted that my money went down the drain.. Well, it turns out that it didn't. My book arrived from overseas to my door in 3 weeks. I am a very happy customer. Thank you! :D

Ordered online- paid in full. A week later, no email confirmation of order, no tracking details, no communication whatsoever. And nothing has been delivered. Complaints and emails unanswered. Complete scam

I have been trying for several days to get through to their customer service. No response to my emails. The telephone calls are not answered. ZERO customer service. I was not awarded Fanatics points for online purchases. I have outstanding deliveries. ZERO rating of their service

Hi - I am in a similar situation with Exclusive Books. I ordered online from overseas for presents to be delivered to my family. The estimated delivery was set to be a week later. Payment was taken. Date Ordered December 18th, with estimated delivery date of December 26th. It is the 17th of January 2024 and I am still waiting. I am now a month past my ordered date and the complete set of books have not been delivered. You do not receive any notifications of any delays and they also do not respond to their customer care email address, despite several emails. I had to get someone in South Africa to phone and despite this call and several follow up emails, my family is still waiting for the completed order. Be careful ordering from here, I had a much better experience with Takealot and Cum Books.

Do not order anything online from these people! I made an online purchase and was given an eta for delivery which has passed. I have received no communication regarding status of my delivery and have called customer care numbers listed on their website but no answer. I logged a ticket via email - no reply. I called head office. Someone answered and politely took my order number and let me explain my dilemma, only to then to say" Please hold" without any explanation and diverted my call to another extension which, of course, was not answered. I hung up and called her back. It rang and rang and she didn't pick up again. I have never had such appalling service with online purchases of any other vendor. Will never purchase here again.

I ordered and paid for 3 books from Exclusive Books SA online on 7 Nov 2023, with the confirmed delivery date being 16 Nov. I then queried on the CustomerCare email on 17 Nov and was told a response would be received immediately it was received from the warehouse. It’s now 21 Nov, no response, calling the toll-free line was useless, so now I just wait…. Next time, it will be much easier buying from Takealot. At least then you will be assured of a fast and efficient service.

Never again will I try to “pre-order” a book from Exclusive Books online. I have had such shocking service!!! With the book not arriving, to poor customer service communication from Bronicia (either no response, or one day telling me the order is out for delivery, to being told two days later she is checking when it will be dispatched)… to fiiiiinally receiving a message to say my order has arrived, and I drive to the store to collect it a few hours later, to be told, oh it did arrive but warehouse called a few minutes ago (after hours of it being delivered) to ask for the package to be returned!!! So I walked out empty handed. Again!!! I was told that I could not leave with the book as I’d have security called on me…. I ordered and paid for this two weeks ago. I’ve tried to escalate this but unfortunately Bronicia is blocking me here by not providing me with alternate people to contact or talk to about the matter each time I try to do so. I still have no book and no refund.

They don’t even deserve a 1 star rating, I canceled my order from March 2023 in August 2023, my refund seems to be traveling on foot from South Africa to Zambia. PATHETIC customer service. The ghetto really. I could never ever buy from this store.

If I coud I would give a negative star rating for this Company I ordered four books from Exclusive books online. It is an international order as I live in New Zealand. Order was placed on 3rd November 2022. Proof of payment was sent through. Order was supposed to be delivered approximately 16 November 2022. Got an email from Nisha Reddy on the 16th November, telling me one of the books are not available any more. I sent a replacement name and was told that she could not replace the book with another book. I would have to reorder and again pay the Delivery fee of R1550 for another order. When I asked when the order would be delivered I was sent a Tracking number showing the order was only despatched the evening of 16 November. 9h58 pm -- After I enquired about the Delivery date..... Customer care agent NOT looking out for Customer Interests. Was told a refund e voucher would reflect on my account. When I enquired about the e voucher not showing on my account .... Got an out of office reply from Nisha Reddy --- Great work Nisha Reddy. You seem to really care about your customers. I unfortunately CANNOT recommend Exclusive books online to other International customers. Please do not buy from them, you will be wasting your time and your money. Customer care do not do CUSTOMER Care at Exclusive books.

Not so very Exclusive! Brooklyn Branch! I would not advise to doing business with them, not only incompetent but clearly don't need any business of any sort. I have an order of 21 books that I've been trying to get from them for more than a month now. Also I've requested an invoice to process the payment at the same time. 1. every time I phone it sounds like they are ravaging in the dark with the confusion about who I am and what did I order (Note I've sent them an email every time I spoken to them over the phone) 2. When I raised my concerns, the lady just smirked on the other side of the phone, is this how you treat customers? She told me that I only ordered 2 books, which is confusing cause we received an sms saying 11 of our books has arrived (when we received the msg we asked them to order 10 more, also sent an email - not sure why we send them emails as they don't manage that email account) 3. The Invoice I've received eventually is still on 10% vat and the company Vat nr is wrong - need admin assistance there. 4. Today I've been trying the entire morning so far, to get hold of them cause they haven't replied to my emails sent yesterday. If I placed my order on Amazon I would have gotten it, even takealot, but we try to use locally. Very unhappy and disgusted by their service.

I ordered my books and I was given the option to write a little note on the package free of charge. I thought this was a cute gesture so I decided to write a note for my friend since it was meant to be a gift. She is queer so I ordered a LGBTQ+ book for her. On the note I simply said, "Enjoy your manga and your sapphic princess book!

Was gifted a book bought at Exclusive Books Menlyn. Did not read it or open it as i already owned it. My husband went in for an exchange and was refused one. I have spent literally 10000,s of rand myself and for my organization at that branch. I will NEVER set foot in there again and tell people not to shop there from now on. Will rather order directly from overseas. I am disgusted.

I ordered books for my Mum from overseas; used a local (SA) company because it should have been faster - estimated 2 weeks delivery - it took a MONTH. Very poor service Exclusive Books, never again. May as well have used Book Depository. And delivery would have been free!

I order from Exclusive Books on a regular basis and have spent thousands with them. Since Covid, the delays have been quite severe. I don't mind waiting and I understand the reason for waiting but the thing that annoys me is the lack of communication from their side. Order status' are not updated once the "delivery date" has passed and when you inquire, you don't get a response. Perhaps its time for me to start using Takealot.

Poor online shopping experience. Canceled an order was told the refund would take place after a week, a week later nothing. Sent an email, opted to receive a refund voucher was told it would be loaded after another 72- 96 hours-120 hours later, still nothing. Really poor service fromExclusive Books. Getting a simple gift for someone has been such a drag, the birthday has since passed and I am still waiting for a refund.
