Purchased a Deluxe KIT with an upgraded liner. Was never told that the liner would ship separate. Went to install to find out liner is not here. Call and and was told it ships separate. Why would you sell a KIT and not send all of the parts? Was told on the phone that they will contact the vendor but have no idea when they will call back. So out the pools walls up to have to tear them back down. Wasted a Saturday and a few friends Saturday’s as well. Filed a complaint with the BBB and ordered an in stock (looking on Familypoolfuns site, the liner I paid extra for is out of stock). Hopefully get the money back for the liner and the upgrade fee. Hope to never have to do business with this company again. Buyer Beware.

JAY BACKER IS A CROOK! SHOULD, AND WILL, BE IN JAIL!! We, in good FAITH, purchased a pool from his SHAM company. Or I should say, donated FOUR GRAND to his corrupt lifestyle. They lied to us for months and are selling products that they do not even have in their inventory to sell. Meanwhile they will lie, cheat, and steal to keep from refunding your hard earned money. They need to be SHUT DOWN NOW! They have used “COVID” as a ruse to line their pockets while unsuspecting customers suffer. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CRIMINALS! They are quick to take your cash but will not give a refund! TOTAL CROOKS!!

This so called company is a joke.There is no customer service to speak of either.Their website misrepresents products,and when you return them they keep a big part of your money.What a sorry way to do business,by ripping people off.I would pay twice the price anywhere else and steer clear of these crooks.

Reading that you take customer service seriously i suggest a owner contact me urgently. The service was so pathetic that 5 months after original incident im still waiting for it to be resolved. Staff are rude, arrogant and disrespectful. Plainly put, incompetent in service delivery.

worst worst worst customer service.... ordered wedding cake steps and they came broken finally said would return my money ...... 2 months later..... no money..... I now see all the bad reviews , wished I had seen this before!!

I ordered this pool ladder 3 weeks ago. They took my money but NEVER CONFIRMED shipping. I spoke with them several times, and whom ever answers the pone (old lady), was zero help and had an attitude of not caring. I canceled my order!!! Apparently they don't care and neither do I. Bad customer service!!!

Do not order from them. They contract with multiple delivery companies and don't tell you of any restrictions on delivery. They never said they won't deliver down a residential driveway. I've had something sitting for 4 months at a delivery company that won't deliver it down my driveway and family pool won't take it back and give me a refund.

I placed an order for a 10k above ground pool that was shown as in stock. Got a call saying out of stock but they had another pool for 6k that was 6 to 8 weeks back ordered. I added upgrades of liner and steps. The pool was dilivered two weeks late missing the upgraded liner and ladder. They sent me a cheep liner that failed in two weeks with grass growing up through the bottom. I have been trying to get a refund for the upgraded liner and ladder for months now. Also trying to get a replacement liner but getting one excuse after another. No refund for missing parts. They just tell you someone will contact you but nothing ever happens. DO NOT DO BUSNESS WITH THIS COMPANY THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF.

If I could give this company a zero, I would. Our entire order was all wrong. a defective liner (Also not the upgraded when we ordered). A cheap pool instead of the upgraded resin pool we ordered. No nuts and bolts. After weeks…many phone calls and emails and zero attempts to reconcile with us, we called our credit card company And we let them open up their own investigation on the matter. Now that funds are withheld we’re getting all kinds of calls and emails. None of which are apologetic or empathetic, just how they want their money. Horrible horrible people. Do not walk away from this company, but RUN!

Ordered a beautiful blue stylish 16 x 16 round pool liner in early March it is now May 15… And I still have not got my liner… Just got an email saying that I can’t have the color I want and I have to settle for ugly gray liner… And it is going to be another eight weeks!!! Not a good company!!

It’s a Scam! Do not purchase anything from this company. I bought a hot tub at the beginning of the year. After numerous email and phone calls that were either not responded to, hung up on or I was fed some rubbish and given several false dates for delivery I still hadn’t received the hot tub after 2 months. I cancelled the order and now a month later I’m still waiting for a refund which they keep promising.in their own T&Cs it says within 14 days. Read the reviews in trust pilot. Do not believe the reviews elsewhere. This company is a scam, you have been warned! I am now taking legal action against the company, along with many other by the looks of it.

I ordered a pool robot and within a week it was delivered. The price was exactly what others charged, but I received a Sr. Citizen's/Military discount. So, 2% is better in my pocket than someone else's. Communication with the owners was great. I read all of the reviews and up until Covid-19 interrupted normal business operations, FamilyPoolFun had great reviews. I spoke to a local brick and mortar store and they said that ALL pool/spa items were taking 8-12 weeks longer than any other time they could remember, and it was because everyone was at home and ordering pools and spas at a record pace. So the 1 star reviews I saw on this page are mostly during Covid lock outs. People are working from home and customers are expecting the same customer service as when companies were in full production mode. It is unfair to be so harsh on a small company. No, I don't work for this company nor do I have any vested interest in the company, but being a small business owner myself know just how difficult these times have been for everyone. Even my distributors that used to answer an email in less than an hour are taking 2-3 days to get back to me. I did my research prior to making my purchase and it wasn't until I received an email asking for a review, did I see this page and all the bad reviews people posted. It's unfair to kick a man when he's down, but that's what I see in the last years reviews. So this being the end of 2020, maybe this company will survive into 2021. The only reason I wrote this lengthy review is because of all the negative reviews and I had no such experience. So before you make a purchase from any online company, be realistic in your expectations. people are working from home (try to make a pool liner at home [ha ha]). Everything is taking longer than what it used to. Get used to it, it's the "new normal" Businesses will go under because of shut downs/lock outs even after you make a purchase and there will be nothing you can do about it. So, I will reiterate, the communication I received was top notch, friendly, and the product was shipped in less than a week.

Dont buy from this company. They hung up on me because im inquiring about a missing pieces from my pool. The customer service rep Ellen was rude and hung up on me. I have nothing but patience. This has been going on since june 2020. All i have been asking for is my sand filter pump. 😔 its sad this company hires or keeps people like that employed.

I ordered a pool cover and they sent me the wrong size. After numerous emails and phone calls Jay sent me a return label. The cover cost 63.00 and he credited me 19.00. They say because restocking fee and shipping. Really??? They send me the wrong size and I have to pay for their mistake? My credit card company is disputing it. Jay is a scam artist and should be ashamed of himself. I wish I read these reviews before I placed my order. He should be embarrassed because of all these bad reviews. Buyers beware!!!!

DO NOT ORDER!!! BUYER BEWARE!!! I ordered my pool on June 22, 2020 and was called the next day to confirm order. The lady I spoke with told me it would be delivered in exactly 4 weeks. As it came closer to 4 weeks I heard nothing so I contacted the company. You cannot get through on their phone numbers so I emailed several times. The owner Jay called me and BERATED me on the phone for basically inquiring about my order. He then proceeded to raise his voice that I had given him the wrong number to call and then he said and I quote, "Go back! Go back and look at your email!" After we hung up I did go back and look and I had given him the CORRECT phone number. I was dumb enough to allow him to talk me into proceeding with the pool order because he assured me it would arrive the first week of August. As you can imagine, that time came and no pool arrived. He then told me 2 more weeks. The emails he does actually answer normally have a copied and pasted section about Covid and the warehouse missing the shipping schedule. In his emails he explains that some companies are taking 6 to 8 weeks to process orders yet his company (FamilyPoolFun) is not. BUT here I was at week 6 and told 2 more weeks. I hope he realizes people can do simple addition. I demanded my refund. I emailed after several days to check on my refund and he THEN told me he told the warehouse to cancel my order. My pool was never even at the warehouse according to previous emails! He then actually tried to convince me to put a pool on lay-a-way (he said other customers are choosing to do lay-a-way) since pools will be more expensive in 2021 due to the shortage this year. He sent me a cancelled invoice and told me 3 to 18 business days for my refund to process. I received my refund 9 business days later (which is today). Surprise! He retained $85 of my money as a "cancellation fee". A fee for a product HE NEVER HAD!! He has very poor business practices. He claimed he had merchanise in stock only so people would purchase. There really is a pool shortage, you can look it up, but he saw the opportunity to line his pockets and he took it by claiming he had what others did not. Then people began getting wise and demanding to know where their orders are and wanting refunds. He does not update you until you actually slam him with emails and then he spins another story of the warehouse missing the delivery deadline. He commented on someone else's review that he was allowing orders from his website in order to place customers on a waiting list. It does not state that on his website, it says the items are IN STOCK and that is FALSE! He seems shocked that people are angry. No wonder - customers believed he had the products in stock and many of us spent hundreds to thousands to prepare our yards where our pools were to be installed - YET THERE IS NO POOL! He rarely communicates and when he does, he lies and comes off incredibly disrespectful. Please listen to me and to everyone else who has had the headache of dealing with this business. SHOP ELSEWHERE!!!

PLEASE STAY AWAY!!! So like EVERYONE ELSE they took my money and will not answer my calls or emails. I have filed complaints with BBB, Attorney General Office in both Massachusetts and Minnesota, Federal Trade Commission as well as my Bank. I understand with COVID thing are difficult, but taking peoples money and Ignoring them is disgusting. I hope 🤞🤞🤞that people read these reviews and buy elsewhere to save themselves a HUGE HEADACHE!!

Have sent several emails and called several times and left messages (no answer of course) AND STILL NOTHING!!! C’mon people, get it together! You have several businesses under the same owner and I don’t understand how. Your customer service is a joke! I get it, times are tough right now but you’ve had months to adjust to the new standards! 🤦🏼‍♀️ As of July 21 our pool pump blows sand in the pool no matter what we do. Bought another 200lbs of sand thinking that was the issue and it wasn’t. I have tried contacting familypoolfun for advice and they dont return my calls. Am now in the process of filing complaint through the Better Business Bureau. Oh and when you call and get their voicemail, the owner says God Bless. What type of Godly being treats people with such deceit?!? ***Take my advice as well as many others, spend your hard earned money elsewhere!!!***
