“Despite some negative reviews (I guess all big companies have some, things do go wrong from time to time), but Gabion1 were extremely helpful in getting me sorted with my 4x custom L shaped gabions I have used as a base for some wood bench tops around a firepit area. I found them very responsive, delivery was quick, and everything was in order. I personally couldn't fault their service and am glad I went with them in the end. No pics yet I'm afraid as I'm only halfway though my project and I don't have much spare time, so wanted to be fair and do justice to their service by getting this review in now.

“I looked around, and liked the fact this site had loads and loads of helpful vids, pictures and info. I ordered 5m of Gabions, and they arrived within a couple of days. I am very pleased with them and the service. I was a bit concerned about transfering money, rather than paying on Credit Card, but everything was fine.”
“I would recommend this company without hesitation.
We had a soggy shaded corner of our garden and decided to construct a Gabion wall as a feature, with drainage under it , to tidy the corner and make it low maintenance.
David was extremely helpful and patient helping me to work out the sizing and design for the wall, his graphics were great for visualising how it would look and the materials arrived really quickly.
So easy to assemble, as shown in David’s video. Still got the finishing touches to do but delighted with the results.

“Really efficient service - the items arrived within 4 days of me confirming the order as promised.
David and the team were really helpfull in confirming what I needed even though the sizes I wanted were not listed on the web site to buy as a set. If it’s not there ask the team as I am sure they willl be able to help.
I would certainly recommend using them if you are looking to but any gabion baskets”

“Took literally 4 months for them to arrive - absolute silence meanwhile and if it hadn't been for the fact we ordered in advance, I would have assumed we'd just lost the money to a bust company (scam seemed unlikely*) and there was nothing we can do - there is clearly a reason (for them) they don't accept credit or debit cards!! One day an email appeared stating it would be delivered by Tuffnells 'tomorrow'. Arrived slightly damaged and one panel not quite right (minor) and as you can imagine I couldn't be bothered to complain. The ones that are right, the vast majority, are good, and again I have no complaints about the product, I'm writing this nearly a year on having been reminded by being asked to do another review on here. Speaking of which, the owner had the nerve to ask for a +ve review after the delivery. Er....!?
*This guy DOES to be fair know what he is talking about with regard to this sort of work and has even been published in a peer reviewed journal from what I can see, on the subject of erosion / stabilisation.”
“I wish I had read the reviews below before buying from this company. After constant delays, excuses and lies the gabions turned up after 56 days. Don’t believe a word you hear from them. Initially very helpful, once payment taken a different story. I’m writing this as I don’t want anyone to go through what I went through, the website is still not saying how long these things take to get made. Avoid.”
“They were initially very helpful and responsive over email. But once I'd put my order in total silence. No replies to emails or phone calls. Been waiting 5 weeks for delivery and I've no idea whether the Gabions will turn or they have gone bust. Talking to the bank now to see if they can get my money back. Avoid.”
“An order that was placed on a 10 day delivery taking over 5 weeks to arrive, when it does so it is incomplete they blame the courier for arriving early on Friday for not being able to ship me my missing part.
Pathetic.
Customer service is appalling, I have had to continually chase for information about my order, slipped delivery dates with no hint of an apology and the product quality is below par with one of the pieces being bent and one of the spirals too short.
Won’t be using them again.”
