“I researched and researched which shed to buy until I was dizzy! In the end I went with BillyOh as it appeared to be of good quality and mid-high price giving me assurance I stood a chance of a reasonable shed. There was a 31 working day lead-time which meant delivery would be 12th August. as the 12th got closer I started doing some research (yes, back to front) I was more than a little concerned when I read the reviews on a number of sites. On 11th August I received an email saying delivery was scheduled for 12th August and I would receive a telephone call on the day. Sure enough I received a call on 12th asking if it would be possible to deliver on the 13th, no problem. On 13th August the shed was delivered. Typically the weather did not allow immediate construction. When the weather allowed we took a full itinerary of the parts and everything seemed to be there, one small gripe at this point, we received a bag of screws, nails, 75mm, 40mm, 30mm, 25mm and two sizes of nails. In an ideal world a separate bag for each would have saved 30-45minutes. It took my son and I two days to put up, the instructions were sufficient, relying on pictures as the directions were a little vague. The base was vital to get correct but one square the sides went up in a few minutes, slotting together perfectly. The roof took a little longer but having aligned the floor there was not a lot to go wrong with the roof. My sone fitted the doors with little fuss either. The felt roof laid perfectly and a whizz over with some preservative and we have a great shed. My initial fears and concerns were for nothing as the service (additional copy of instructions were requested), delivery, communication and product quality were without fault. Perhaps, compared to others we were lucky, but I cannot see why I would be treated as a special case. I am a genuine purchaser and not a spoof BillyOh ghost reviewer.”

“After making an order for a Shed (Keeper 4'x8') then reading reviews (wrong way around, I know) I became very concerned that I wouldn't be receiving the shed any time soon, at all, or receiving it will parts missing. However, I have been pleasantly surprised with every aspect of the purchase. The order was made at around 11pm on a Wednesday, and we had the shed with us the following Monday. We found that we didn't have printed instructions with the shed but they were readily available online (log in to your account and go to orders), and using these we have completed building it with no issues. The only slightly bad part of the whole order was the vague delivery time slot, we were told it would come Monday or Tuesday and on Monday the deliverers tracker was not working. This isn't a real issue but it means you need to be around all day. I just wanted to review this so people can see that maybe the company isn't as bad as it's made out to be. The sheds they offer are far cheaper than elsewhere and for us at least, it's perfect.”

“Recently, we placed an order for a summerhouse, exactly 1 month before Christmas. We received it the week before Christmas and were able to get it built just in time for Christmas itself. My family enjoyed spending time in our newly built summerhouse. It was probably the highlight of our Christmas. Thank you for delivering it on time and in good condition. I recommend Garden Buildings Direct for your housing and gardening product needs. They will get the job done undoubtedly.”

“Compared to other vendors I looked into, Garden Builders had the most balanced reputation out of everyone. They also had a ton of feedback from customers, giving me a good understanding of what to expect. The Garden Shed I ordered was for 2 major purposes. For recreational and organizational purposes. I must say that it has been serving that purpose well! It was delivered to my home in about 20 days after my order was placed. Not a bad delivery speed. It is good quality for what I paid and still holding up a few months later. It definitely has the appeal I was going for. Very satisfied with my new Garden Shed. Thank you so much for providing a quality product!”

“My husband and I decided on ordering a log cabin because we had an interest in adding our garden products to it. It ended up arriving 3-4 weeks after we placed our order. It arrived in good condition, properly and professionally packaged. Before long, my husband had his brother and other mates help him construct the cabin. They finished putting it together in a few days. They did have some problems with some parts of the build, but they did figure it out eventually once they understood the log cabin more. Overall, we are satisfied with our purchase and plan on doing future purchases with Garden Buildings Direct.”

“No missing parts, door frames warped and damaged. I've had nothing but delays as my builders had to stop the work right in the middle of tracks to wait for the replacements plus screws missing too. I've got disgruntled builders requesting more money for the time it's taken to sort it out with garden building direct”

“Customer service was very poor.even at the ordering stage. I was promised by the person I spoke to that although my date would show as the Wednesday, it wouldn't be delivered until the Thursday as per my request, he would ensure this happened. I was so doubtful I also stayed home on the Wednesday's which was just as well as it was delivered!! Driver was excellent, only good bit of the whole transaction. Shed is average quality at best, does the job I suppose.”

“I got cold feet on this company - I ordered a billyoh travis, ETA was within 3 weeks but its not 6-7 weeks and no delivery - started to get excuses from customer service that still to be manufactured/pressure treated etc. - i then chanced upon this site so the two combined has led me to cancel and order from another local company, feels like it was better to be safe rather then sorry and take a hit on waiting longer but for a better product”

“put the sides of the shed up when it came to fitting the roof the roof was not square the roof trusses would not support the roof so had to make a strong perlin out of 3x2 wood at my expense the double doors are twisted and very flimsy to say the least framing very thin I used to erect sheds my self but this one is very mind numbing as nothing matches up I would not buy from this company again.”

“Terrible customer service. Soent over £200 on a bbq which came with the wrong parts and no instructions. I have to wait over two weeks to receive these now so the party I’m meant to be having over the weekend won’t be a bbq one now. When I asked what I’m supposed to do about it I was told to work it out myself. Never again”

“Shed quite good I think,but customer service?forget it!website wouldn't recognise my order day before delivery,so had to ring them,you get three automated options,number 3 directed me to web site then said "goodbye",rang again option two as before.rang a third time and used option one"order a shed",which I wasn't but it was the only way to get through to a human.he by the way was bordering on rude.on the day recieved a text to say they would be with me in half an hour.rushed home in twenty five to find it delivered and them gone!they had also delivered a piece I neither needed or ordered!and no,I did not ring them again at my expense.”

“Our Experience - 1040576:GBD1995209 We ordered a shed 04/08/2023 and were told 4-6 weeks delivery, when asking for an update 5 weeks later we were told it would be a further 1-2 weeks. After 8 weeks we finally received delivery (With only a days notice it was coming). We treated the shed before assembly, as is recommended by any reputable landscaper, to ensure proper coverage, we did this on the assumption that the shed was fit for purpose. On 08/10/2023, we took stock of the parts and it was at this moment we realised that more than 50% of the fixings were missing and that we didn't even have the hinges! We saw this as human error and planned to purchase them ourselves and email the next working day. Upon attempting to assemble the shed the same day, we noticed the rear left gable was shorter than the right due to a manufacturing fault, we also saw this as human error and decided we would purchase a fascia board to make up for this and also notify them of this. After this, we noticed that the 19mm pressure treated tongue and groove floor we paid additional for was too wide and would have required cutting, it was at this point, where we hadn't gotten past 3/24 pages of the instructions, we decided not to commence with erecting the shed due to the multiple manufacturing faults that we had come across and notify customer services of our request for a return due to totally losing faith in the product and company. We followed up with a phone call and a subsequent email 09/10/2024, where we were told that due to us treating the shed, this was classed as "acceptance" in their T&C's (We checked and couldn't find this) and that we were only entitled to the incorrect parts being replaced and would therefore need to measure every single part (Being the entire floor, the fixings, one half of the left hand side and one half of the rear gable). Upon receiving this email, we sought legal advice and were told that under Consumer Rights 2015, it is on the manufacturer to provide a reasonable solution that is FOC and is at no inconvenience to the customer. We also found out that even if we were to accept the goods, this does not deny us our consumer rights. Following numerous emails to this company where we notified them of this breach and no reply after 9 days we decided to contact our credit card company and commence a chargeback following that same legal advice. (An email later followed on the 23/10/2023 where we were offered £51.30 partial refund AS WELL AS replacement parts, which we denied). Long story short, Garden Buildings Direct waited until the last day to challenge this chargeback, with the reason being that the shed was fit for purpose and IN USE, a clear lie as it was still taking up space in our garden, and contradicting their previous emails where they offered to replace the parts. This led to us needing to pay for an expert to evaluate the shed and provide an independent report on how the shed is not as described or fit for purpose. During this timeframe, which lasted a further 3 months, we were told to notify this company that the goods were ready to collect and were actually told now we were able to take a partial refund OR replacement parts, contradicting their previous email. Following our submittal of this report, 6 months on from ordering the shed, the matter was not taken further. I can't emphasise enough the stress that this put us through, in such a financially difficult time, to have to pay to resolve. It is on this date, a month on from the resolution of this matter, that we can safely submit this honest review and hope it helps others to make a proper decision on whether to use this company.”

“After having norhing but issues with the summer houses we purchased less than 2 years ago we are having to dismantle and replace with a reputable company. Absolute joke when we spent over 2500 on this. Never ever use this company. They take your money and run. No help and when we wanted a full refund they agreed to only a 10% refund. And this was after months of trying to contact them for answers.”

“Maybe we should've read the description properly but I'm sure it didn't say 'This shed is made of cardboard walls, cling film window and paper roofing 'felt'!' We even had to cut the base down as it wasn't even the correct size for the shed! And the customer service? Second to none! They even offered another roll of the paper roofing felt as a gesture of goodwill, and they said 'only in an attempt to stop the roof from leaking'. I suppose the felt is meant for that in the first place, so good suggestion! Good firewood but expensive. Useless company, NEVER BUY FROM THEM.”
