Any changes to the policy are very expensive. Even changing car to a lower group increased the premium. Doubt I will renew with Admiral.

Admiral done every thing they are supposed to do. After a few months, I needed business insurance for one day, due to my job, I was only going on a course for a day but was told I needed it by my work and Admiral. Any way Admiral was going to charge more especially as I only needed it as a one off but we came to a understanding for the whole year. I also went on a very long holiday and was told by Admiral I can only be out of the Country for a month, as going out for a few months, first told it could not be done and I was going to have stop my Insurance I said this was very stupid as I would loose all my no claims bonus. Any way after very long phone call up to about a hour ! Or so . Also to a nice man in India was talking on behalf of Admiral. All I had to do was put my mum on the insurance policy as named driver and of course I was keeping my car at my mum and dads, as I had moved back, as sold property and needed to get away for a bit due to stress of work and the way the UK is now over a lot of things. So Admiral sorted it but it took over a hour because nice man in India had to keep going back to his bosses for approval and it took a bit time to establish every thing the facts.

The staff at Admiral that dealt with my claim were very helpful, however, the company they recommended that I use to negotiate on my behalf with the third party insurers were slow to act and I was forced to use the services of another such company.

Very "computer says no" when I dealt with admin staff. My car was stolen and recovered without any damage and they made it so difficult for me to get my car back as they had made an offer. They lost my keys and tried to get out paying for losing them. They tried to insinuate I hadn't sent the keys so weren't going to cover lock change which was required on my less than 24 months old Mercedes costing 000's until I proved them wrong with my picture and weight of packages sent recorded delivery. Would not budge prior to this even though they made a offer of settlement prior. After threatening the ombudsman they gave in and paid but cost me hundreds of pounds and loads of time and effort when I was trying not claims a penny and save my NCB. No different to the rest but slight cheaper for me and the Mrs.

I had to phone as organising my policy was quite complex. The lady who took my call worked with me for quite some time to asnswer all my queries and organise my policy. She should be recognised for this.
