Awful company, firstly, they need to stop reviewing themselves on here !! Secondly, that offer cheap insurance, but then you pay for every little extra, it is in reasonable. As for the black box, it's a con, they use it to get more money from you. Customer service does not even exist for this company

THis company is misleading, they insist on new drivers going around with their tracker box which I did for 3 months. Then at the end of the year they bumped my policy from £750 up to £2,600 What a rip off, been driving for 20 years and never had a claim. Do not use this rip off company.

I wouldn't reccomend bell to anyone not even my enemy, I work in the car industry so I would know a thing or two about good customer service. I want to say there was a lack of communication but there really was no none, no calls or letters to let me know when my insurance was ending, very unprofessional I will never have anything good to say about them, even when they tried to take a large amount of money out of my account without my permission.

Easy enough to apply for insurance until you end up with for a claim - unwilling to help and take into consideration any evidence you put forward yet happy to take the 3rd parties word against yours. Will look to just settle the claim as quick as possible for their own benefit rather than help their own customers. Will also not offer you the best price for renewal until you ring and contest with evidence of a cheaper offer.

Have had 2 weeks of Hell from these idiots, culminating in an automated call at 2.30 IN THE MORNING. HAVE REPORTED THEM TO GOVERNING BODY AND ISSUING A CLAIM FOR HARRASSMENT. IF YOU VALUE YOUR SANITY GO ELSEWHERE!!!!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Very poor customer service I received at least 5 emails and letters that I haven't sent driving licence of second driver then another 3 that I didn't send them my driving licence And in the meantime that I didn't plugin the black box I did everything immediately after buying the insurance, I sent them email that I done it but those bunch of people don't listen, i would ever again use them! It is my first car in uk and bell was the cheapest but you get what you pay for

This is the worst insurance company I have ever dealt with. They say one thing and straight up lie to you. If you need to drive to work you are penalized for parking your car at work. If you need to drive after 10pm you are penalized for that. You can't even understand the representatives as they are all from India. If you ask for a supervisor you will NOT get one. Please avoid this company AT ALL COSTS! They are not to be trusted!

Expect to get a different response to the same query everytime you call along with an apology that the previous colleague should not have said so. Had an accident which is not my fault and I lost more than a 1000 pounds for that . Making inaurance with them is really easy. Making a claim with them is a struggle. They promise you something but do something else. Cant trust them at all.

Feedback doesn’t match reality, wish I’d read the reviews on trustpilot first, Many others give accounts that reflect my concerns and experience. Blackbox is literally black box, no transparency on the data they receive and their explanations are unspecific. They don’t respond to subject access requests in requests for the data and how they arrive at automated decisions, contravening the ICO.

Watch out for Validations, Absolutely awful, will not use Bell Car Insurance again. My teenage daughter was issued with a validation request, documents sent by email, one was out of date. They cancelled her policy, stating an email had been sent, which they could not retrieve and resend. A letter notified her, received five days after cancellation was actioned by them, hence we distrust their organisation. Totally unhelpful, unsympathetic and extremely poor customer service.

Real rating -zero stars. AVOID Sent black box-plugged it in as I’m confident I drive well. Average rating not explained. Then a letter giving me a weeks notice they are cancelling the policy as I have broken the rules I’m unplugging the device.i once notice it had fallen out when giving a work pal a lift home -I think he stood on the wire. Anyway,the say by unplugging it I have breached the terms and they are cancelling-with short notice a major hassle.no warnings cancelled. I’ve been on the road for about 18 years. Never claimed a penny from an insurance company1a total Scandal.

My daughter took out a policy with the black box fitted. They failed to inform that this plugs into the 12volt port that already houses her dash cam. She wanted to cancel her policy. It was then we discovered they had her by the sort and curlys. She has to pay £10 for a double socket or to be charged £75 to return it and cancel. For youngests avoid this company . Having a dash cam is more peace of mind in my book.

If I could have left negative stars I would have. I am now £82.36 less well off because I decided to cancel my policy. £49.50 to cancel, then a further further £30-something for the amount of "days in cover" whatever that means...I already paid £80 at the beginning of the month! They end your call with "have a nice rest of your day" in a cheery voice - probably because they just shafted you of your money for cancelling the policy. I hope they reply to this, but they won't - because they are too busy taking money from other unsuspecting people. Yours sincerely, A very unhappy customer.

I purchased Bell car insurance in Apr 2017. Buying experience was good. I was told to connect the telematics device to my car so that they monitor my driving and if it is good then I would potentially get some money back/cash back/discount from what I paid them. Fast forward 3 odd months and after receiving many gold standard driving accolades from Bell, I received a letter in Aug 2017 saying two things: (1) Based on my driving, they estimate that I will be doing double the miles than I had estimated at the start of purchasing insurance so I have to pay XXX amount to them which they will deduct from my account directly by certain date. 2) Since my driving was good I was eligible to get moneyback/cashback/discount of YY amount of money. That YY will be adjusted against the XXX I owe them. I asked them what if I don't do the miles they have estimated and remain at around the amount I had estimated. I was promised that I will get the full money or part money back. Fast forward to end of year, I had done less than the miles that I had estimated so I am eligible for getting the entire XXX that Bell had taken from me. For everyone I spoke with , it seems logical but not to Bell. Bell are saying they will give me only (XXX-YY) as I never paid them YY. I said yes, I did not pay YY because that was something I earned and you had adjusted against XXX. But the staff don't seem to get it. Staff gave me following example: You go to supermarket, buy goods worth GBP200 and the supermarket is very happy and gives you discount of GBP30. If you return all the goods then you get GBP170 back or GBP200. But I tried to explain to him that your example is not comparing apples to apples. I told him that lets say(again in a hurry as the staff was super busy), supermarket announce to me for being a good & loyal customer we will give you GBP30 for being a good customer. I go to supermarket buy goods worth GBP200, supermarket says since we are giving you GBP30 as a good will gesture, you pay only GBP170. Now for some reason if I return everything I purchased i.e. GBP 200 worth of goods then supermarket must pay me GBP200 or GBP30? Staff tell me that it will be GBP170 and not GBP30 as I never paid GBP30. I am telling them that GBP30 was something I earned as a good and loyal customer but no. Not sure if the staff dont understand or they are acting dumb!

I wish to feedback that there as part of the cover I would be sent an app/device to fit in my car to monitor my driving for 3 months and could receive a discount on my payment which was high, around £1200. When calling to say I hadn't received the app/device I was told they had run out and since then have heard nothing.

Bell is the worst car insurance company, I was their customer for 4 years, I paid £399.69 for last year, had 4 years no claim bonus and just received the renewal price of £1,127.84 !! The customer service people were surprised too, their excuse was other accidents around our area and actually the area I live residential and quiet area. I am going to complain and get legal action against this company.

Even one star is too much. Avoid at all costs; I had a car accident with minor dent and some steering damage. Garage brought it back to me after 3 weeks and 100 phone calls later, not even fixed properly. Had to be returned back to the garage to fix the cheap work which had been done. Worst of all is that I had to chase for everything, no communication from them which made the situation stressful and disappointing. For info I am with bell insurance, which is dealt with by admiral, all the same thing.
