Initially called to lapse my policy, spoke to a fabulous agent who tended to all my needs.. all renewed even though more than £100 dearer. Meg is an absolute asset to your company .

After finishing work and coming home to a blocked drain I rang , they was so helpful and booked somebody in the same morning to come to my aid , I’m so glad I went with them

Having never claimed on insurance for 38 years we had extensive damage due to a fire. The representative from John Lewis/Royal Sun Alliance has been first class all the way through the claims process. She has helped us rebuild and replace all of the items. Everything was done according to the insurance policy (including the small print), we were treated fairly and efficiently and there has not been one area where we could fault the service and the claiming process.

had large cliam. And they were excellent. Total payout of a large flood, refit kitchen and half the house. No issues

Had to claim on my insurance in July due to a heavy fall of hail stones which had pierced holes in my conservatory roof. Was a bit sceptical about the whole procedure as I have never had to claim on house insurance before however from initially ringing to put in a claim, to a couple of surveyors visiting my property to assess the damage, a settlement figure being reached and receiving the cheque for the damage as we decided to have an upgrade on the roof so it doesn't happen again, all this was achieved in matter of three weeks, we were very happy with John Lewis insurance.

I can't recommend John Lewis insurance enough. There's not difficult to deal with and their terms are not unfair. It's a simple straight forward home insurance with no hidden terms. I've claimed twice with them and they were brilliant. I can't really see myself leaving them (ever).

I took out Holiday insurance with John Lewis after struggling to find a company who could cover the cost of the entire holiday should something go wrong. The holiday cost over twenty thousand pounds so it was essential to get the right cover. Whilst away we did have to call the doctor to see my son. On return I contacted John Lewis, they were incredibly friendly and extremely professional and my claim was dealt with and paid out within this one phone call. Flawless service and I will definitely be renewing this policy when it finishes next year.

Bad is an understatement there are no word that l can use l chose premier insurance believing it to be a better option my experiance with claiming what a con you believe the name of john.lewis to be second to non when we made the initial claim everyone we spoke to agreed it was covered under accidetal damage and then tried to claim it eas down to home maintenance or wear and tear l challenged this and they continued to agree there previous statements at times it appears the left hand does not know what the other is doing so l made several complaint which they have 8 weeks at the same time l.contacted the finacial ombusman who agreed to take up my complaint its still not resolved to this day this has been.going on since feb 2017 l.would not recommend j/l to anyone they use evey oppertunity to get out of doing anything and use the cheapest option available there way or no way they make abscene claim they take your money by making false statements am l angry with them yes very very much so l.like to ask a question if more damage has accured due to there proven negligence do they have ti make good this damage or is this yet another claim l stongly suggest u thing twice taking any insurance withs company just one other point if your claim/claims go beyond the value of £3000 expect more problems dont be affraid to challenge them.take down.there names date and times also complain they duty bound by law to investigate they have a maximjm.of 8 weeks to do so if not satisfied upgrade it to the ombusman the more that so this maybe something good will come from

Had a problem with my boiler at 10.30am Thursday 23/03/17, phoned JL emergency services 11.00 and was told they would sort something out and phone me back, 10mins later they phoned me back and stated that an engineer would attend between 12.00 and 16.00hrs. The engineer arrived and boiler repaired by 15.45 well done JL and thank you.

Had to make a claim on buildings insurance. The person answering my initial call was really helpful and understanding, so too was the surveyor who came out to assess the damage. The claim was accepted without fuss and a cheque is being issued. Well done, J.L. for your very professional service.

We needed to make a claim for bike theft. I contact JL and the guy I spoke to was very helpful and clearly explained the steps we needed to take. A week later, I spoke to another member of staff at the claims department and she made the experience very personal, and really went the extra mile with keeping me updated. The claim was processed the same day I contacted the claims department. John Lewis are setting the standards for home insurance, and we would definitely recommend them.

House insurance. The short of it... we are very impressed. We took out a policy with John Lewis as we were happy to pay a bit extra to have that confidence that if an issue arose it would be handled better. During a recent storm the top of our roof was damaged. We called up John Lewis and we didn't even have to wait on hold! It went straight though to a real person (which I'm still shocked about). They took a few details and said someone would be in touch in 48 hours. We actually had a call that same afternoon and had an appointment booked for someone to come and view the damage within a couple of days. The inspector agreed it was all storm damage and immediately approved the claim and within the week we received a cheque to cover the cost to repair. I am also very happy that we get to choose our own builders instead of using theirs because we have a builder we've used in the past and have been very happy with. This way the cost was covered but we're also free to chose who we want to complete the work! Overall very happy and relieved that we were able to claim on our insurance and the process went surprisingly stree-free. We will definitely be renewing with John Lewis for future years to come.

my answers to question 1 are self explanatory and as I have not had to make a claim no further comment is required.I however when accepting the insurance quotation which was very competitive it was also reassuring to have the strength of the providers reputation behind my decision.

Clear and easy process. Handy online account to submit/retrieve documents and manage the policy. Hard copies arrived in post promptly along with a handy card to keep in the car.
