I found that every one I spoke to at Lancaster insurance were curious and I would really like to recommend Lancaster insurance to family and friends.

Insurance purchased for MX5 on the understanding that it would be for a period of six month. I was led to believe that there would be no cancellation/ administration fee. I was charged £50 even though I had promised to renew the policy with them. Very disappointed with the shoddy treatment. I will not be using them again. Their loss.!!!!!!!!

Getting the insurance policy was straight forward and price was good, as Lancaster are ot the insurers, but brokers. However on cancellation, as I had sold the vehicle and insured my replacement car through another company, sending back of the certificate seemed to confuse them. The original certificate was included but they requested I fill in a missing certificate form, for some unknown reason.

I had this claim open for 6 weeks then I cancelled it because I didn't own the car anymore , I was supposed to get a refund of 75% of the money payd at the start , I still to this day have not received my money . Not happy

I was told I could cancel the policy within 7 days at no cost, when I canceled the policy within 24hrs because my employer put me onto his policy, I then kept receiving payment demands from Lancashire insurance then they passed it onto debt collectors 3 months later. It was only then they stopped chasing me because I had email proof of my cancelation which I had to keep showing to everyone.

I was with them just under a year. I bought a new car insurance went upto £3000 and also they couldn't provide me with no claims certificate for my next insurance.

After the first year which was claim free the next quote was far to expensive.

Been with them for 10 years Always had first class service, but they have been bought by another company and service is shocking I have called, emailed and messaged as I need to change cover, but no reply in 4 days

Buyer Beware - I went for them because they were the cheapest on a price comparison site - probably my first mistake . Paid my annual premium up front - then got mithered by email requests for proof of no claims and photos of vehicle on driveway. Sent them these but took months to sort out . The big issue with them is lack of communication. Never answer the phone and take 2 weeks to respond to any emails. I used to think Churchill were expensive but at least you can speak to CustomerService quickly - my big fear with these people is having to claim from them! I shall be scooting at the end of my policy without doubt.

No way of contacting this rouge company. Been trying for 2 days every hour to speak to someone. They give option to request a call back as soon as a call handler is free, no one ever calls though. No refund for remaining 8 months of policy, funny how cancellation fees come to exactly what you should be due back. Crooks and low life scammers, never again, you’ve been warned

I sold my car with 6 months of tax and insurance still to run. Prompt refund of 6 months' tax from DVLA. However, Lancaster said I was owed no refund. Complained and they refunded £26 as 'goodwill' gesture. The actual insurer AGEAS refused to refund their part of the premium. For some reason, 70% of premium goes on first 6 months. So, as conciliatory gesture, I asked for refund of the 30% balance and still they refused. So have referred matter to Ombudsman.

dozens of calls pestering me to renew 4 times told them I had done so all ready, still they went on, they do not answer the customer service phone or e-mails unless u ring the number for renewals then strangely they are not too busy.

The initial quote was very good and I was happy with the price but after only having the insurance for just under 2 months I sold the car and cancelled my insurance it cost me a whole year's premium for two months therefore I wouldn't recommend this company.

Absolute rip off - I feel mugged!!! I was forced to pay the full years insurance up front as I wanted to cancel the policy. I ended up paying a full years price when I only used it for 4 months cover. I would not recommend Lancaster Insurance for this reason, there are many competitors which only charge a cancellation fee.
