Sell you insurance and at times of trouble won't even come to the phone, hiding behind underwriters who in turn look for a get out clause. The Cooperative? Uncaring to say the least. Beware!!!

We will never use this company again! They took £467 deposit for my sons first insurance then applied 3 days later for another £110 and have justified it by saying well you did opt for the payment to come out on the 28th??? Common sense would say not 3 days after and once called they said it was their mistake told me to call back then told me it was my mistake so tough basically!!! Absolute bunch of no good crooks no better than theives. Cannot wait for the year to be up please read very small print or be caught out as well and yes I will be leaving reviews all over the Internet including social media sites so others do not get caught out like this HAPPY NEW YEAR THEIVES

Yes, I had an accident in September, the third party was at fault, I have paid for legal cover yet my car has not been repaired and I can't find out whether the third party has admitted liability. Also, the approved repairer they suggested to me, from past experience, I know are very poor indeed. (Protec)

Awful customer service, bought home insurance with promise of a free karcher window vac. Upon chasing up the window vac was told that a voucher was sent via email but no mention made of this when busting the policy. Basically told tough luck for not claiming the karcher, be very careful as their offers are well written so that you do not get the free gift. They wouldn't tell me how many vouchers were unredeemed, not trying to hide anything?

Be very very careful with co op insurance if you have an accident they will find a loop hole to not pay you any money at all, they will firstly send out a claims investigator to investigate ur accident the job of the investigator is to cross examine you and find a loop hole not to pay you. Co op will happily take your money to insure you they sound very nice over the phone to take you onboard but from the moment you have an accident they will file your case with hill Dickinson solicitors then send out an insurance investigator, lucky enough if you get paid out for your claim they will then try to cancel your policy making up faulse reasons. Once they decline you insurance it will be difficult for you to obtain cheaper insurance with other good companies in the near future. Don't fall for there niceness on the phones be aware.

I've 33 years no-claims bonus but my insurance is 35% higher than an online quote from same company to a newbie with none. CIS puts up its insurance each year LOTS & so the only way to get competitive insurance from them is to cancel yearly & get a new policy yearly - such an unnecessary faff (& Insurance Ombudsman don't like this tactic, as it's designed to make people pay over the odds if they forget to do this yearly). Then of course if one needed to claim, CIS could easily say that the problem was before the current policy started, despite the fact that they were also the previous insurers. Totally had enough of them & am changing to AGE UK Insurance - wish I'd done so 5 years ago! (I'm 55 & they do ins for over-50s.)

If there is w chance to give a 0 star rating I would definitely give coop insurance a 0! Our house was burgled early this year. The glass of the french door was completely smashed. Coop insurance insists on that it is repairable including the reuse of trims and bars. They were just make two pieces of glass and stick them on the wonky frame. Furthermore only one year guarantees was given!! I will never use any coop products again!!
