I took out Travel Insurance with the Co-Op ensuring that I was covered for flight cancellations but when our flights were cancelled due to Jet Airways experiencing financial difficulties I was told I would not be able to claim for our flights being cancelled and as Jet Airways hadn't actually gone bankrupt they had temporarily grounded their fleet! The flight is still grounded!!! I had to pay £1712 for return flights to the UK from Thailand yet The Co-op refused to pay anything. When booking your travel insurance be aware that you may not be covered for flight cancellations when it says that you are! We take out these insurances but if they can get out of paying you they will!

Took out a combined house and contents policy as a new customer with the Co-op in February. Initial research through a comparison site, but subsequent purchase, after querying some points direct with the Co-op. Presumably didn't read sufficient of the microprint exclusions, as the headline offer of £50 Co-op food vouchers was deemed invalid, due to the initial comparison site approach. Caveat very definitely emptor.

Bought Co-Op insurance and paid a £160 deposit. Cancelled it literally just 6 days later before it started and still had to pay £35 admin fee. What is that £35 for? Any other place just gives a full refund, as they haven't provided any kind of service. Such a scam.

Leaking pipe flooded bathroom and bedroom called Home rescue but did not come until next day. Assessor sent out to check damage. Didn’t even look under floor or check any damage. Gave us a figure just to redo floor covering which was so low It wasn’t worth proceeding. You are still left to organise the job yourself but I realised £230 was not going to go far so Declined I am now on my own to sort it out, so much for having insurance. Will not use or recommend again. I am left with all the damage to sort out myself

The co-op put me on cover for a 3.0 SD V6 SE auto Discovery, 2019 plate. When I read the policy, it had all the above wording but 255bhp , instead of the correct 306 bhp - there is no such thing as a 255 bhp with this engine. I rang them and they said they couldn’t insure me on a 306bhp, therefore I was uninsured . Work that one out... I cancelled and went elsewhere Caveat emptor

You bother customers with lots of questions , you was keep asking for documents for half of the policy . Then by mistake you send me a letter that my policy will be cancelled !! Im driving for 9 years , i have 9 years no claim bonus , i always had insurance but never had so much headache with any other company !! And now after almost a year of paying you when I had minor incident with POLICE OFFICER what wasn’t my fould as they scratch my car when it was parked in front of my property you say that you won’t fix my car because I change my wheels ??!! And I wasn’t aware I have to inform you! I didn’t make massive modification ! Its just a wheels !!! I’m really not happy with your service and will make sure that non of my friends do business with you !!! So many insurances I had and NEVER , NEVER i didn’t have so much problems what with you !!! Stay clear of the car insurance arm, they are incompetent, maybe a couple of pound cheaper but trust me and read other review, it is not worth it.

My mothers vehicle has been undervalued even though i have send the insurance company and the independent engineer proof off the live market value off what similar cars are on in the market this is including the specification my vehicle has/had ,even after justifying my point i am getting paid less than half what my vehicle is worth is this fair to you if you was getting paid out less than half!? when disputing with them their staff kept on contradicting themselves and when confronted just kept in repeating the same over and over again so we are just going in circles. they than turn around and say we don't look at that auto trader and eBay, yeah because people selling on them websites are lairs aren't they! By far the worst ever company i have had to deal with never going to use this company in the future. i wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY INSURANCE PURPOSES. 1 FULL YEARS INSURANCE PAID FOR, DUE FOR RENEWEL 16th January. TODAY THEY HAVE STARTED A NEW CONTRACT AND CREATED A DIRECT DEBIT AND TAKEN THE MONEY FROM MY ACOUNT WITHOUT MY AUTHORISATION. CONTACT IS ABSOLUTEY DISGUSTING. SPEAKING TO CS ABOUT THE PROBLEM, THRY GIVE US THR CONTACT NUMBER WE ARE SPEAKING TO THEM ON, HONESTLY THAT WAS WEIRD. THIS COMPANY CLAIM TO HAVE SPOKE TO MY CREDITORS AND MADE THE ASSUMPITON WE WILL BE RENEWING THE CONTRACT WITHOUT ANY AUTHORITY OR SIGNATURE FROM ME. IN ESSENCE THIS IS THEFT AND FRAUD. I COULDNT GET THE PROBLEM SORTED AND I AM NOW OUT OF POCKET BEFORE MY DAUGHTERS BDAY. I CANT UNDERSTAND WHY THIS COMPANY WOULD BE ALLOWED TO DO BUISNESS IN THE UK. THERES LITERALLY NO-ONE TO SORT THIS PROBLEM. ILL BE REPORTING THIS TO THE BANK, POLICE, LOCAL COUNCIL AND TRADING STANDARDS, BECAUSE IF THIS IS ALLOWED TO HAPPEN THEN ITS NOT A COMPANY TO BE TRADED WITH. TREAD VERY VERY CAUTIOUSLY. They refused point blank to deal with the issue, the woman called me a liar repetitively, literally. Something i don’t appreciate from someone who has made baseless accusations when I’m the one trying to get my money back. The phone call was put down on me. REPORTED TO TRADING STANDARDS.

Everything! My elderly mum and dad have had a bad flood from their tank in the loft and still 6 months later we are having to argue about beach towels etc that were ruined and provide constant extensive lists via email. Noone calls you back. They use companies such as Sedgwicks, Cunningham Lindsey and Roy woods which all have been appalling. Even a lasy called Sally from Sedwicks laughed at me on the phone when i was trying to discuss contents. They are still waiting for the contents settlement! It’s outrageous. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR HOME INSURANCE.

Worst customer service ever been a customer for years phoned on Saturday as I had knocked into a kerb and damaged my wheel I had to report it as a accident or they wouldn't recover my car . They recovered to my home address and was told garage will be in touch they never I had to phone them only to be told I wasn't entitled to a courtesy car I am told me to phone insurance company who said I was entitled to a courtesy car but only a standard 1 as per terms of policy which is where my complaint stars garage only have economy cars and I have been told that's too bad if that's all they do I'm 6ft 8 and would have to sit in back seat to drive still don't care I have since found out that damage done to my car is 1 of several well known faults on my insignia so really it wasn't a accident tell that to customer service I am taking my complaint further never again will i use this company

Someone hit my car whilst I was pulled into a space to give them way, they then claimed for an injury for their 'passenger' ....who just for clarity, was NOT even in the car or anywhere near the scene. The driver was alone when he hit my car and yet even though I have legal protection from co-op, I provided full all evidence and statements showing the other driver was in the wrong as he hit me, they still paid out an injury claim for £3000... not happy about this whatsoever.

1 currently pay the coop £306.99 per annum for my home insurance. Despite no recent claims and a ncd of 40% I have been quoted a renewal figure in excess of £780 per annum for the same level of cover and they are unable to tell me the reason for the 150% plus increase. Perhaps they are moving out of home insurance! Be beware. I have arranged alternative cover elsrwhere at a level similar to my existing cover

Co-op Car Insurance are fraudulent. Anybody can call them up and they pay. Be Warned! A lady claimed I hit her, I called to alert them to the possibility of the fraud. As soon as the lady called them, they claimed they paid off. I have no way of knowing they actually did. they just claim they paid off and there is nothing anyone can do. I am helpless. I will advise everyone out there to keep off this company.

If I could give them minus stars I would. DON’T INSURE WITH THEM!! They are appalling and the customer service is very poor! They’ll take your money ( no problem) but when it comes to paying out they take 3 months to email you and refuse to pay out. My late mum and poorly dad bought me a camera a little over a year ago for my birthday and as a thankyou for helping them through a difficult time. Whilst on holiday I dropped the camera from our balcony and it smashed into pieces. We were 5 floors up so you can imagine the damage.BUT these insurers wanted pictures of the camera ( I sent a few) that I’d managed to catch with my phone. That took them 6 weeks to request. Then they wanted all the smashed pieces to validate my claim. Erm I was not allowed to bring sharp objects in my suitcase from Tenerife airport and they know this. YET emailed me after another 3 weeks to say they weren’t paying out. I’m now awaiting another email as I’ve escalated my complaint. I’ll let you know what the outcome is... I recommend you think hard about using this company.

First year customer, I wanted to add my daughter to our car policy. I tried to do this through on line, referred me to call customer services. I was told by customer services that she could not be added as I have business use included, which my wife has to have for her job. By having that it prevents me from adding any further members to my policy. Ridiculous, she only wanted to use the vehicle a couple of times. Will never consider this company again.
